Chapter 305 - 295: Battle of the Iron Men

Chapter 305: Chapter 295: Battle of the Iron Men

Upon receiving Tang Mo’s command, the ten woven men quickly charged toward the steel men. However, it was obvious that these were two completely different types of beings; their strength wasn’t on the same level at all.

A steel man raised its palm and swung it forcefully twice. Two woven men were immediately sent flying, crashing heavily to the ground.

The rest of the woven men fared no better. They were quickly swatted away or kicked down by the steel men, instantly rendered scrap without even the strength to struggle.

’Such immense Strength...’

Everyone gasped. Tang Mo tightened her grip on the Heaven-reaching Axe and used her spiritual power to form a Protective Shield around herself.

’Looks like this tough battle is unavoidable.’

Over forty steel men. To be honest, Tang Mo wasn’t sure she could win.

It had been a long time since she’d faced such powerful opponents. But even with her doubts, she had to fight. After all, she had no path of retreat.

If she were alone, she could have fled. But now that she had something to protect, she could only stand her ground, no matter what.

Tang Mo ordered the woven men to fall back and form a line in front of the house. They were too fragile against the steel men; there was no reason for them to throw their lives away.

Gripping her Heaven-reaching Axe, Tang Mo advanced to meet them. Over forty incredibly tough enemies, yet Tang Mo was all alone.

She used her spiritual power to create five clones, which surrounded her to fight by her side.

The steel men’s bodies were heavy, but they weren’t slow. Tang Mo advanced a few more steps, intending to pull the battlefield further away from the house.

Tang Mo was by no means short, but she looked frail and small standing in front of the steel men.

Just as it had with the woven men, one of the steel men reached out with a palm that glinted coldly.

Their directive was to destroy—to destroy everything inside the house and anyone who stood in their way.

Tang Mo didn’t dodge. She raised the Heaven-reaching Axe, now infused with her spiritual power, and met the descending palm head-on.

Dodging would have been easy with her speed, but she wanted to test herself, to see how her strength truly measured up against these foes.

When the Heaven-reaching Axe and the palm collided, sparks flew. Ultimately, the hardness of steel was no match for an abnormal treasure. Bolstered by Tang Mo’s Strength and spiritual power, the blow sliced off half of the steel man’s hand.

But before Tang Mo could celebrate, the steel man’s other hand swung at her.

These steel men were machines, not people. A severed hand caused it no pain and did nothing to diminish its fighting capability or bring it down.

Tang Mo had just parried one blow, and before she could even reposition her axe, the next one arrived. She couldn’t react in time.

The spiritual power clone behind her took the full force of the blow, instantly dissipating into nothing.

The violent dispersal of her spiritual power made Tang Mo falter. Though it was only a clone, it was still a part of her, and its destruction was not without consequence.

’This isn’t working. There are over forty of them. I have to find their weak spot.’

Taking hits like this would wear her down sooner or later. She was all alone and couldn’t afford a battle of attrition.

Tang Mo quickly dodged to the side and scanned the steel man before her from head to toe.

Its limbs and torso were solid steel, and its face lacked eyes, a common weak point.

’Is it invincible?’

’Impossible. Even a robot has to have some seams or weaknesses. There must be a specific device somewhere on its body that’s controlling it.’

’And that device has to have an access panel or port.’

’Nothing in this world is truly invincible. I *will* find its weakness!’

Tang Mo immediately formed a cloud of spiritual power under her feet and flew up, looking down on the giant from above.

Fortune favors the airborne. Sure enough, after her tireless search, Tang Mo finally spotted it: a plate-like object on the back of the giant’s neck, fastened with four screws.

’That’s it!’

’That must be the control device for the giant. Or maybe its battery.’

Tang Mo didn’t know what it was, but regardless, she had to try something. It was her only opening.

Once Tang Mo flew up, the giants lost their target and resumed their advance on the house.

Seeing the giants closing in on the house, Tang Mo quickly erected a spiritual power barrier about 100 meters out.

Sure enough, the leading giant was stopped by the spiritual power barrier.

Though they lacked true consciousness, these brutes weren’t complete idiots. After being blocked, the giant paused for a few seconds, then began to walk along the barrier’s edge, trying to get around it and reach the house.

Seeing this, Tang Mo dove, landing directly on the giant’s shoulder. She immediately started smashing the small, square plate on the back of its neck with her Heaven-reaching Axe.

In a split second, the small plate caved in.

The giant’s head, which had been halfway through turning, froze as if it had jammed. Its entire body lost all mobility, turning into a steel statue.

’It worked!’

Having found the giant’s vital point and such an easy way to take them down, a wave of joy washed over Tang Mo.

She quickly rode her spiritual power toward another giant’s neck.

The giants quickly recognized the threat she posed. They temporarily abandoned their advance and began reaching out, trying to grab Tang Mo off their comrades’ shoulders.

Although they were called giants, they were only a little over two meters tall, which meant Tang Mo was still a very obvious target for them.

Left with no other choice, Tang Mo had to smash the panel on a steel man’s neck as fast as she could, then immediately use her spiritual power to shoot upward before another massive hand could grab her.

Sometimes she would land on a giant’s shoulder and have to immediately retreat into the air again before she even had a chance to destroy the panel.

This repetitive process was exhausting for Tang Mo.

Flying itself consumed a great deal of spiritual power. On top of that, Tang Mo was constantly using spiritual power for her attacks, and the barrier in front of the house was another significant drain. Her spiritual power was quickly running out. Frustratingly, she couldn’t afford to drop the barrier. Tang Mo had no choice but to sacrifice flight and her spiritual power clones, concentrating all her remaining spiritual power into the Heaven-reaching Axe in her hands.

’The giants aren’t that tall anyway. I can reach their weak spots just by jumping.’

’And if I’m agile and fast enough, dodging their attacks shouldn’t be too hard.’
