Chapter 3013 - 3011: I Think I’ve Seen Her Somewhere Before
Chapter 3013: Chapter 3011: I Think I’ve Seen Her Somewhere Before
"Qin Xue, has no one ever told you what’s up with that woman?" Lin Ziqi looked over at Su Han, who was chatting and laughing over there. He felt like he’d seen her somewhere before, her face a bit familiar.
He hadn’t remembered it earlier, but just now when he turned his head and saw that smile of hers, a scene of having seen her before suddenly flashed through his mind.
"No, why?" Qin Xue hadn’t liked her from the moment she saw her, so how would she go around digging up information on her? As for this woman Su Han, she felt that some people and some things, as long as they weren’t in her need-to-know range, she just wasn’t going to waste brain cells on them.
It was just, how was she supposed to put this into words? Better to first think it through and figure out what exactly was going on.
"I feel like I’ve seen her somewhere before." Lin Ziqi still voiced the doubt in his heart.
For something like this, he didn’t think there was any need to hide it from Qin Xue.
"Where?" Qin Xue thought that back in S Province they shouldn’t have run into her.
So where did this sense of familiarity come from? It wasn’t that she didn’t believe Lin Ziqi, she really just had no idea how this kind of result could have come about.
Besides, in her mind, Su Han wasn’t like how she presented herself on the surface. So usually, people like that really couldn’t get into her good graces.
"I don’t remember. I’ll tell you when I think of it." Lin Ziqi fell silent for a moment at Qin Xue’s question, but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t recall where he’d seen her.
So it wasn’t that he didn’t want to say it, he honestly didn’t know how to say it.
And having it end up like this was his fault; he shouldn’t have blurted it out without figuring it out first.
Even if he really had seen Su Han before, he shouldn’t have told Qin Xue when he didn’t have any proof.
That way he wouldn’t cause any trouble, and if something did happen, they could find out at the first possible moment, couldn’t they?
What Lin Ziqi meant wasn’t anything else, he just felt that Qin Xue being so hands-off about everything would get her taken advantage of one day. That was not something he wanted to see. So, for Qin Xue’s own good, he felt he still had to pay more attention to the people around her.
People always say you can know a person’s face but not their heart. If someone close to her harbored bad intentions, then where would she end up? Wouldn’t she just end up being sold out by someone?
So Lin Ziqi felt Qin Xue needed to grow an extra pair of eyes. That woman gave off a very strange feeling; say she’s good and yet there’s something in her eyes that people can’t quite make sense of.
Say she’s bad, but she doesn’t seem to have actually done anything to Qin Xue. So it wasn’t that he didn’t want to say more, he just didn’t know how to put it.
Because whether something was "good" or not wasn’t up to her to decide by feeling alone. There really were bad people in this world.
In later years, the most commonly heard saying was: it’s not that there are no bad people in this world anymore, it’s that the bad people have grown old.
In other words, bad people are still around. It’s just that some have gotten old, some have switched to doing other things, and they don’t show up in front of you as often. So, in this life, no matter when, you should always keep an extra eye open, because that’s the best kind of protection.
And to a certain extent, Qin Xue herself didn’t want to say much either, because that kind of way of living wasn’t true to her heart—it was too exhausting.
Looking at Qin Xue’s indifferent expression, Lin Ziqi was truly speechless toward her.
It was fortunate she had a husband who loved her; otherwise she’d have suffered a lot more in life.
With a personality this simple, how had she made it to this point? If someone like her had been in his own circle, who knew how many times she would have already been "eaten alive." She wouldn’t even have a chance to catch her breath, and would have long been tricked into running in circles.
Qin Xue had no idea Lin Ziqi had mentally filed her away as a woman who couldn’t even truss up a chicken.
