Chapter 3004 - 3002: Why Are You Stopping Us?
Chapter 3004: Chapter 3002: Why Are You Stopping Us?
Qin Xue was taking her three children home, but was stopped by someone in the market.
"Lin Ziqi, why are you stopping us?" Qin Xue looked at the man she was relatively familiar with, wondering why he was here blocking their way.
"I don’t mean anything, I just want to ask if you could tell me about that piece of jade." After returning, he inquired and found out that nobody knew what his mother used to do, so the only option was to find Qin Xue and them.
He had searched for a long time but didn’t know where they lived. So, to find the answers he wanted, he had to search the streets for them, and fortunately, his effort paid off as he found Qin Xue.
"Are you here specifically to wait for me?" Qin Xue looked at Lin Ziqi, thinking only he would do something like this.
But thinking about it, she hadn’t told him where she lived beforehand, so finding her would indeed be like looking for a needle in a haystack.
"Yeah, I asked my mother’s old friends, and they all said they didn’t know about her, so I came back to ask you." Lin Ziqi didn’t see anything wrong with this; on the contrary, he just wanted to know what he could, not caring about the rest since she wouldn’t tell him.
He was self-aware enough not to let anyone dislike him; it was simply impossible otherwise.
"I have things to do now, I’ll tell you tomorrow. You can go to Yuxuan Restaurant and wait for me there." Qin Xue thought to get rid of him first, as she needed to take her children home now, and thus didn’t have the time to talk to him.
"Okay, but you must tell me the things I don’t know about tomorrow. Did you hear me?" Lin Ziqi wasn’t sure what to say because he himself didn’t know if he could rely on Qin Xue.
"I don’t know your mother, but I can tell you about the jade, though it’s not the one you have, but the other one." Qin Xue could only say this much; how he dealt with it depended on his own understanding.
It’s not that she didn’t want to talk but rather she only knew about her own piece, nothing beyond that.
"Alright, whatever you say, I’ll listen." Lin Ziqi thought that perhaps Qin Xue’s words might give him a clue.
He might be able to find a hint amid her words, which wasn’t impossible. It depended on how attentive he was; as long as he believed it was true, doing anything else wouldn’t be hard, would it?
"Okay, we’re heading home now, you figure out the rest yourself." Qin Xue observed his demeanor but said no more; after all, everyone has their own working style and personality.
What she could do was to see if her mother had any relatives left, and the Gongs were one such family, but she didn’t know if there were others, so she had to look.
To some extent, Qin Xue felt that what she was doing was somewhat irrational.
"Alright, do you need me to take you back?" Lin Ziqi looked at Qin Xue, a pregnant woman with three kids, wondering if she could manage.
"No need, go do your thing, I don’t have much of a problem here." Qin Xue refused.
Previously, she had help with the children and didn’t need it, so the children she took care of herself had to be stronger.
This situation was something they hadn’t anticipated beforehand, so they had to wait slowly. Was what Qin Xue lacked someone to help take the children home? Certainly not.
