"Sorry, I didn’t mean anything by it, it won’t happen again." Ye Li didn’t mean to compare the sisters; he just thought of his sister-in-law’s crisp manner, and then seeing Qin Jiale hesitate, he spoke too quickly.

"Qin Jiale, the teacher said we are going on a trip. Are you going?" Their teacher organized an outing for scenic views, but some didn’t want to go. He was unsure if Qin Jiale was going, so he asked her.
"Yes, I’m going." Qin Jiale wanted to know about the nearby scenery, how could she not go? She just wondered if Ye Zishu and the others were going or not.
Originally, the three of them could be in the same class, but for some unknown reason, Ye Zishu was transferred to another class at the last minute, leaving the two of them in one class, while Ye Zishu went elsewhere.
Because of that, they were separated. Thinking of Ye Zishu’s reluctant gaze, Qin Jiale was also unwilling. They had agreed to be together, but it turned out Ye Li stayed, and Ye Zishu left instead.
"I got it," Ye Li said, without revealing any clue.
"What do you mean?" Qin Jiale looked at Ye Li in surprise, wondering if he could speak more clearly. It was so vague—what did it mean?
"It doesn’t mean anything, let’s go, we’ll be there soon." Ye Li hadn’t thought about going or not, but now hearing she’d go, then let’s go together.
"You don’t need to take me to eat anything. My sister prepared food at home, and there’s someone there, so there’s no shortage of food." Qin Jiale thought Ye Li was taking her to eat something, assuming she was hungry, so she explained.
"Keep it for later at home then. What I’m bringing you to eat now, you can’t get at home. Whether you want to or not, just try it first. If it’s good, eat more." Ye Li wanted to have some alone time with her, regardless of whether there was food at home, isn’t that right?
