The man who was stabbed fell to the ground convulsing, with no time to even clutch his throat, his body spraying blood like rain as it tilted towards the carriage; moments later, he passed away, his eyes wide with shock and horror that had not yet dissipated.
He thought he was unharmed, never expecting that he wouldn’t even have the chance to scream or fear, as the God of Death had already taken him away.
These were all Cyril’s men; they looked formidable with their guns pointed at civilians, but against the Special Forces, they were nothing more than embroidered pillows.
There were formidable figures within Molaban’s criminal underworld too; otherwise, how would they dare to clash with the government? However, clearly, the gangsters dealt with by Xia Jinyuan were mere underlings, requiring no great effort to handle, just careful and cautious tactics for resolution.
Just as Xia Jinyuan had pushed the gangster onto the tracks, a series of ghastly screams erupted from up ahead. With his face turning abruptly grim, Xia Jinyuan didn’t even bother to wipe the blood from his face as he hurried towards the source of the screams.
It was already too late. The heartlessly deranged members of Molaban’s criminal element, who dared to kill even policemen, picked up their pistols and sprayed a hail of bullets toward about a dozen train station workers.
Suddenly, the entire section of the carriage was filled with wails; blood spilled across the floor.
These were workers tasked with maintaining all the engines at the train station. Terrified by the sight of the armed gangsters, they all hid in an open carriage section, not knowing that the ’clang’ from a casually handled hammer dropping would lead to their collective demise.
Xia Jinyuan’s steps halted suddenly; his chest felt as though it had been heavily struck by a boulder, his internal anger seething, both deep and painful.
The gun-toting thugs emerged from the carriage one by one. Xia Jinyuan glanced over; there were three in total. As they approached along the tracks, he heard a voice he had heard a few days earlier at an auction, filled with brutality, bellowing, "You bloody wolf spawn, do you realize what you’ve done? Do you?"
"You must be tired of living, still trying to talk your way out in front of me! Don’t think just because your brother died trying to save Cyril that you can do whatever you want! Speak up! Where have you hidden them all? Hand them all over now!"
"I’ll consider your brother’s contribution, the fact that you’re usually honest, and beg Cyril for mercy on your behalf to spare your life! You mongrel, this is your last chance!"
The bald man, yelling in a fit of rage, kicked and cursed at Mr. Will. To Xia Jinyuan’s surprise, this guy actually knew Mr. Will, and Mr. Will’s brother had even saved Cyril.
Mr. Will, beaten until his body curled, gritted his teeth, his face bruised and swollen, yet he didn’t utter a word.
The bald man, furious to the point of exploding, shouted, "You damned mongrel, are you trying to betray us? Beat him until he talks, and if he doesn’t, greet him with a bullet!"
Xia Jinyuan, listening to the commotion, slowly retreated, then picked up a rifle dropped by one of the eliminated targets, pulled out the magazine to check it with a ’click’ before sliding it back in, and once again cautiously moved forward.
Then, with his agile movements, he quickly climbed on top of the train carriages, crawling slowly until he was in a position to swiftly eliminate the targets.
Raising the gun, taking aim, and squeezing the trigger, the continuous gunfire sounded like fireworks exploding, "Bang bang... bang bang bang..." Each bullet found its mark without fail.
The first to fall was not one of the underlings but the bald man; the back of his head was blown open by a bullet from Xia Jinyuan.
