Returning to S City definitely meant bringing the children along. As for the little one, the Gu Family wasn’t aware of his existence yet, so bringing him back wasn’t an issue. However, Yuanyuan’s presence or absence gave Huo Sining a headache.

Madam Gu and Mrs. Gu’s faces turned somber upon hearing her, though stopping Huo Sining from taking her children to S City wasn’t appropriate since they’re young, and staying with their mother better aids their growth.

Even Chen Yu and Brother Gu looked reluctant, and Tuantuan downright grumpily said:

Feeling the atmosphere in the room relax, the tension in Huo Sining’s heart finally eased. People always say mother-in-law and daughter-in-law relationships are tricky; she hadn’t thought so before, but now felt a bit overwhelmed.
Catching a moment when others weren’t paying attention, Huo Sining gave Gu Xu a bitter smile. Gu Xu instinctively wiped his forehead, and both let out a synchronized sigh.
The day after the family gathering, with all luggage sorted, Huo Sining and her group set off back to the Magic Capital.
