She realised that her father had suffered a stroke and fallen into a coma because Fang Liyin added a drug into his food that would worsen his illness.

Right before he completely lost consciousness, he had heard that adulterer addressing Fang Lilan as Fang Liyin.
It was only then that he became certain that his sister-in-law was actually pretending to be his wife.

“Alright.” Long Yifan did not miss the information she had left out. “What about your mother… where is she now”?
“She…” Fang Xinxin could not tell him that her mother was already dead, and that her body had been buried in the storeroom in the Fang family home for more than seven years.
She did not wish to agitate her father and could only tell him a kind lie. “We’ve lost contact with her. When you’ve recovered, won’t you personally go look for her?”
“Yes, of course.” Long Yifan appeared worried but resolved. “I need to recover quickly so I can go look for her.”
Fang Xinxin fed him some lightly seasoned porridge. As he had just awoken, it wasn’t suitable for him to have anything oily.
After Fang Shaohua arrived at the hospital, another emotional reunion occured.
Shaohua was overjoyed that his adopted father had gained consciousness, while Long Yifan’s heart ached for the jail term his adopted son had suffered.
He was also especially happy that his adopted son was already married.
