Rebirth of the Heavenly Empress

Chapter 195 - Let The Games Begin!

Chapter 195: Let The Games Begin!

Chi Yue and Apollo soon arrived.

The captain of the International Police glared at Apollo.

This was a person who had disrupted their operations multiple times. The International Police’s number one wanted criminal, Apollo… he would recognize him anywhere.

“Ai, at a time like this, let’s set aside our differences.” Apollo placed one hand on the captain’s shoulder while running his other hand through his own golden hair. He smiled. “We are collaborating this time, right?”

The captain wanted to curse but suppressed the urge.

He shifted his gaze toward Chi Yue.

Two men had come. If one of them was Apollo, the other wouldn’t be just a common nobody either.

Yu Shijin turned and looked at Chi Yue. “We have lost her location.”

“Lost it?” Chi Yue opened his laptop.

The website for a satellite-control system.

The International Police gaped as they watched Chi Yue hack into the International satellite system right in front of them.

That very night when Su Huiqing told him, Chi Yue had already investigated some information about experimental subjects.

He also knew that if Su Huiqing didn’t wish to, even he would not be able to locate her position.

But he was a hacker. On the internet, there was nothing a hacker could not do. He could make use of other information to deduce her location.

“Mr. Yu, look here.” Chi Yue spoke up even as he continued typing a string of numbers on his keyboard.

“An island?” Yu Shijin’s voice was very low and grave.

Chi Yue typed enter.

The numbers on the screen morphed into a 3D map of a remote island. He enlarged the map. “This is the latest holding ground of the experimental subjects. This will be their first choice to hold any captives.”

Black eyes fixed upon the screen, Yu Shijin shoved one hand into his pocket, while quietly pressing his communications device with the other. He ordered Chu Xuning. “Go to this island.”

Everyone could feel the icy-cold vibe enshrouding the entire bridge.

“Master Yu, the Border Commander is here.” One of the police officers walked over.

Apollo glanced at Yu Shijin. He said in a mild tone, “These are Song San’s men. You made them lock down all the border exits—he won’t let you off that easily.”

Yu Shijin lit a cigarette. He continued standing there, regal and elegant.

He didn’t comment.

“Master Yu, an honor to meet you…” Commander Song reached out a hand toward Yu Shijin, smiling warmly.

“Commander Song.” Yu Shijin didn’t take his hand but just continued looking at him from the corner of his eyes. He leisurely blew out a series of smoke rings. “If you have come for a chat, I am sorry, but I am very busy. If there is anything else, you can just leave right now.”

Commander Song was a general under Song San.

He never expected Yu Shijin to speak like that, and his face turned cold. He drew back his hand. “Master Yu, it’s not right of you to command my men this way?”

Yu Shijin just chuckled. His eyes and tone of voice were full of a chilly danger. “Are you complaining?”

Commander Song was dumbstruck.

At this moment, the fighter jet to pick up Yu Shijin arrived. He tossed his unfinished cigarette to the ground.

Turning his body, he made a huge leap.

His dashing figure landing perfectly onboard the fighter jet, which had come to a stop two-meters away.

Gazing into the approaching ocean, his eyes were as icy-cold as the weather in December.

Meanwhile, Su Huiqing had successfully arrived at the remote island on Dark Angel Zuo’s private plane.

She pressed down on her baseball cap and turned to the person beside her. She gave a cold laugh. “Since you are here, don’t let anyone discover you or I will kill you, understand?”

He had never been threatened in this manner since becoming famous.

Dugu Yusheng glanced at Su Huiqing with narrowed eyes. His voice was very low. “Don’t worry. With my skills, I can immediately destroy anyone who discovers my presence.”

With the flick of his wrist, a gun with a silencer attached appeared on his hand.

Su Huiqing tucked her hands into her pocket, not sparing him another glance.

She was focused on the surveillance camera by the main entrance.

The private jet was parked in a large warehouse.

It only had one automatic surveillance camera at the entrance.

When the surveillance camera turned to face in the other direction, Su Huiqing jumped down from the private jet and rolled over to a pile of white laboratory coats.

She pulled one of the coats across her own body.

By the time Dugu Yusheng had snapped out of his trance, Su Huiqing was already standing before him, slowly buttoning up the coat with one hand.

The most basic ability of an instructor was to quickly analyze unfamiliar surroundings. Su Huiqing slowly put on a white face mask, coldly watching that camera.

By the time the camera turned back, she had already spun over to the side of the door.

She then tucked one hand into the pocket of her white coat.

She slowly lifted her head, bringing up her other hand to brush her fringe away. This revealed her pitch-black eyes, which glittered like dark gems.

She opened the door and confidently strode out.

Her expression was calm. Everything here was strange yet familiar at the same time.

She herself didn’t know that once again coming to this place, she was capable of not immediately blowing it up.

Very soon, a middle-aged man appeared holding a folder.

He didn’t have a face mask on and was talking to several youths walking alongside him.

She clearly heard those youths calling him “Professor”.

Su Huiqing’s hand was still in her pocket, her face an oasis of calm. She just turned slightly to the side to allow them to pass through first.

“Are you new?” The middle-aged man paused just as he was passing her.

Those lips beneath the face mask curled up slightly. Su Huiqing nodded. “I was transferred over by Dark Angel Zuo not too long ago.”

The middle-aged man didn’t suspect a thing.

He just glanced at Su Huiqing once more, feeling that this person’s eyes were exceptionally bright.

The group started to leave.

Su Huiqing remained standing there with one hand in her pocket, while her other hand nimbly picked an access card from one of the youth’s pockets.

Her lovely brows twitched just a little.

After the group left, she slowly turned and headed toward the direction from which the middle-aged man had come from.

That middle-aged man was clearly the “Professor” who was in charge of this place.

Su Huiqing tucked the access card into her pocket, her face serene and her eyes slightly lowered.

At this moment, no one could have imagined that someone had already successfully infiltrated this heavily fortified area.

It was actually very easy to find the real laboratory.

Especially for Su Huiqing. This was not the same laboratory she had once been in before, but the interior and security system was identical to it.

She stood in front of the innermost secured door.

She calmly took out her magnetic access card.

Beep.

The door opened.

Everything inside was displayed in front of her.

Su Huiqing stood by the door, slowly replacing the card in her pocket. Those cool, clear eyes surveyed the area.

10 testbeds.

Eight of them were empty, one of them was drenched in blood, while the last one contained a young girl, who was covered up to her neck in a white sheet.

“What is this?” Dugu Yusheng had caught up very quickly. He reached the testbeds before Su Huiqing and pulled aside his own mask. He also pulled aside the white sheet covering the girl. “Why did you…”

He paused.

He didn’t continue his sentence.

He just stared at the young girl under the white cloth. For the first time in his life, his typically placid face was filled with shock.

“She is an experimental subject, and clearly a failed one.” Su Huiqing’s eyes were fully black. She walked over slowly. “Her companions must have just been sent away. As for her… they must have some other use for her. That is why she is still alive.”

“Beasts!” Dugu Yusheng clenched his fists tightly.

He gazed quietly at the person on the testbed. She couldn’t be called human anymore. Her left hand had been neatly amputated and a wolf claw sewn onto the stump.

Her entire chest cavity was opened as if they were still conducting tests on her just seconds ago.

And hadn’t had the time to stitch her back up.

Having heard some noises, the girl’s blank eyes quivered. She met Su Huiqing’s dark pupils and silently mouthed the words. “Please… kill me.”

Su Huiqing shut her eyes.

When she opened them again, they were full of a cold viciousness. She pulled down her mask to reveal her fresh, lovely face. She took over Dugu Yusheng’s gun and pressed the icy barrel against the young girl’s temple.

Su Huiqing knew very well the kind of agony she was in. The kind which made one wish for death.

“I will avenge you.”

The girl slowly closed her eyes. Her pale lips forming a smile.

Dugu Yusheng was still standing there in a daze until he noticed Su Huiqing taking out a bottle filled with a blue potion. He narrowed his eyes. “How did you know about all this?”

Su Huiqing shoved the blue potion into his hands. “Bring this out.”

“Aren’t you leaving with me?” Dugu Yusheng stuffed the potion into his pocket. “My men have already arrived.”

“Do you think it will be that easy to leave this place? Your men should have already been detected.” Su Huiqing gave a shallow smile, but her eyes remained dark as always.

Dugu Yusheng quickly took out his communications device. His face changed when he read through his messages.

“Don’t worry, I will take responsibility for your safety!” Su Huiqing slowly put on her face mask again. She gave a chilly smile. “You just need to bring this potion out with you!”

At this moment.

“Surround that submarine outside.” Dark Angel Zuo narrowed his eyes as he watched the surveillance screen. He pointed at the flashes going past the screen and asked someone beside him. “What is going on with that person?”

A girl was staring straight at them through the screen. Her black eyes were very bright.

She raised her gun and pulled her mask aside, revealing a huge grin. “Let the games begin!”

Bang—

The surveillance camera was destroyed with one shot, leaving behind a sea of black static.
