Rebirth of the Heavenly Empress

Chapter 116 - Is She There?

Chapter 116: Is She There?

Ning Wenxue’s two bodyguards were not your usual people.

But Qu Yan and Gu Li were no weaklings either. The two of them combined was more than enough to subdue the two armed bodyguards.

The other classmates kept glancing between Qu Yan, Gu Li and Su Huiqing, their faces filled with worry.

In the end, they quietly left.

Su Huiqing didn’t look at Ning Wenxue again, but just swiped her phone to unlock the screen and then lowered her eyes to read the document on it.

Her lashes were lowered and no one could see her expression clearly.

Even Qu Yan was not familiar with this side of Su Huiqing.

The Intelligence Agency held a lot of classified information.

Su Huiqing was well aware of the capabilities of the Intelligence Agency. They even had information on the big three.

For people like the Ning Family, one night should have been enough.

But looking at the documents sent over, she finally realized why it had taken so long.

This was because not only had the Intelligence Agency gathered general information on the Ning Family, they had collected all sorts of major and trivial details regarding Ning Wenxue.

The level of detail was astounding. Ning Wenxue herself probably didn’t realize how much she had done.

One fair finger swipe the screen to the top of the page.

Her cold eyes were completely devoid of warmth.

Su Huiqing didn’t consider herself a good person, but she was very loyal to her friends and family.

She had many trusted connections. Apart from that fearsome bunch of people at Unknown Island, she also had those terrifying friends from the Demon Concentration Camp.

It was uncommon for a person to place such unconditional trust in another person.

It was only because Su Huiqing was worth it.

She could capture anyone on earth and probably do it even more easily than the big three. It was just a matter of whether she wished to.

Presently, she had made use of a tiny bit of her own resources. But it was all undercover.

After being reborn, she increasingly realized the importance of one thing.

Power.

Previously, she hadn’t felt its significance as she already held a high status.

But now, she was well aware of its importance.

Ning Wenxue dared to behave so arrogantly in this class solely because of the Ning Family’s power.

Su Huiqing remembered the girl whom Ning Wenxue had chased off.

Like most commoners, she was a very shy girl.

She hardly dared to raise her head when she spoke.

During that time in the school meeting hall, when Su Huiqing was bombarded by so much suspicion and blame.

That girl and so many other classmates had stood up and resolutely stood behind her.

Su Huiqing didn’t even want to guess just how much courage that took.

In her heart, that point alone… was enough.

Ning Wenxue looked at the two bodyguards, whose guns had already been confiscated by Qu Yan and Gu Li. She couldn’t help feeling rather scared.

She clutched her bag tightly and headed for the door.

No one was guarding it.

Ning Wenxue heaved a secret sigh of relief when her hand touched the doorknob.

It was at this moment that Su Huiqing put down her cell phone and called out coldly. “Do you think you can escape just like that?”

Ning Wenxue stiffened. She turned to look at Su Huiqing. “What do you want?”

“Apologize.” Su Huiqing placed her hands on the table and stood up slowly. Her tone was completely chilly.

She appeared very patient.

“You want me to apologize? Isn’t she beneath me?!” Ning Wenxue flew into a rage as she exclaimed arrogantly.

She was no fool. She knew what a bad position she was in now.

She immediately took out her cell phone and called home.

Su Huiqing glanced at her, but didn’t say another word.

She just walked forward and gripped her neck with one hand, while snatching away her cell phone with the other.

Fear flashed across Ning Wenxue’s eyes.

She could feel that her feet had already left the ground.

But Su Huiqing continued standing there coolly, casually tossing the cell phone onto the table.

The cell phone clattered loudly in the quiet classroom.

Ning Wenxue finally knew what a death aura felt like. But Su Huiqing’s face remained expressionless as she continued squeezing Ning Wenxue’s neck. Even her brows gave off a cold and distant air.

It possessed a harsh and vicious vibe.

“I will be the one who decides if she is beneath you.” Su Huiqing gazed at her calmly “Now tell me, are you going to apologize?”

She didn’t loosen her grip and Ning Wenxue was no longer able to speak. All she could do was to nod her head vigorously!

She didn’t wish to die!

She could see the bloodthirstiness in Su Huiqing’s eyes. Ning Wenxue had no doubt she would kill her on a whim.

Su Huiqing gave her a mild look before nonchalantly letting go.

Ning Wenxue was flung to the floor, clutching her neck and coughing.

As painful as her fall was, she didn’t dare to utter a single word.

She was truly scared.

Meanwhile, Su Huiqing didn’t look at her but just glanced at the cell phone on the table. It belonged to Ning Wenxue.

Ning Wenxue’s earlier call had actually connected, but was cut off by her. As a result, the other party was calling back now, and had already given several missed calls.

What a nuisance.

Su Huiqing leaned over and impatiently took up the cell phone.

The caller ID indicated “Brother”.

She nonchalantly picked up the call and asked simply, “What?”

Her tone was cold.

The young man on the other end of the phone was clearly stunned.

Just as Ning Wenxue was about to lose her patience, the other party finally responded. “Hello, I am Ning Wenxue’s brother. May I know if she is there?”
