Rebirth of the Godly Prodigal

“They’re here, they’re here!” Once he heard the duo’s name being announced, Sheng Wenshi excitedly said, “They’re finally appearing. This is a brand new duo? Hatsune Tianyi, I have never heard of them before!”

Ding Chengzhi nodded and said, “Yes, I have not heard of them before either. Can they make it?”

Just as the discussions reached a fevered pitch, a clear exquisite voice suddenly rang out, “Carrying a lantern, millions of stars, lighting the rivers and the mountains—” A silvery icy voice followed. “Asking my old friend, when will he be back, to watch beside me!”

The prelude to the song only began after these two lines.

“Damn, that’s a fantastic voice!””This voice is not just gorgeous, it’s luxurious!””Oh Oh Oh, is this tempo trying to bring me to my knees?!””Goosebumps ahhhh love love ahhhh!”

The audience immediately got excited. They went crazy!

That which would really drive them crazy had just begun!

The lights on stage stayed dark. As the lively strains of the prelude played, a few little feathers floated slowly down from the air above the stage. This signaled the beginning of the Holographic Projection.

Those who watched every episode of I Am a Singer would be familiar with the Holographic Projection Technology. Today, however, they were bound to be astounded!

In the space where the feathers had fallen, two golden circles suddenly appeared. The two halos, one to the left, one to the right, were suspended in midair. No one knew what they were, and no one knew what the two golden circles meant.

Soon, everyone understood.

From the two circles, two dainty feet appeared, followed by the calves, thighs… before long, two incomparably beautiful young girls appeared from within the circles. Eventually, they slowly landed on the ground…

“That… That’s!” Everyone was astounded!

This was because, despite racking their brains, no one had thought that Hatsune Tianyi would appear before them in such a manner! The girls turned out to be completely digital, existing only as holographic projections!

Just as everyone was stunned, the two of them, one on the left, one on the right, started singing along with the melody!

As the singing started, the audience quieted down again. The only thing that was in everyone’s gazes were the dancing silhouettes of Hatsune Miku and Luo Tianyi, and the only thing they heard was their song.

Everyone present could feel the two young girls’ smiling, enchanting eyes, and the lingering echoes of their voices.

“Who will stand by me, except snow! Who will accompany me, the sun and the moon! Unchanging like day and night, thank you! Else I would have to relive the past alone!”

Every clear word, every note that floated out painted a picture. In the wind, history stirred and chests were pounding. In that instant, as the singing started, everyone’s imaginations were set afire.

“My dear friend is gone, leaving me in the long night, wandering the mountains with my lantern. The wishes of people, a stream of light, suddenly flickering. This human world, experienced in a murmur, tomes of events. Trudging, through wishes, temporarily resting.”

“Great song, great song!” It was not known who uttered this subconsciously, interrupting the absolutely beautiful imagery, but no one blamed him. More and more people were getting uncontrollably excited.

On the stage, Hatsune Miku and Luo Tianyi started dancing. The exquisite lyrics about the scenery of Heavenly State clearly drifted into the ears of all present.

“Alighting from the boat and coming ashore, having a snack and taking a break. Rumors, passing by my ears. Overgrown city watchtowers, glory lost. Then, the sound of the wind abated and everyone fell silent.

“Who will cross with me, the sea of mountains! What have you experienced, sorrow and laughter! Who will stay with me, never turning away! Turning all the wishes into lanterns!”

“Carrying a lantern, millions of stars, at the peak of the mountains. The wishes of people, a stream of light, suddenly flickering. A friend returns, in faith and hope, as if suddenly. This human world, the seasons turn, years again pass!”

As the song came to an end, a scene beautiful beyond belief played in the minds of everyone.

A beautiful lady running into the wide embrace of her love on the bridge, hugging tightly. The rain falls, drenching their clothes, breaking up their reflection in the river below the bridge, but not being able to separate the two embracing lovers.

The man held the lady gently as the corners of his lips slowly turned up in a smile.

Slowly, enough to dazzle everyone.

Unchanging over ten years, uncloying over a hundred years, eternally in love.

Finally, the melody faded away and the audience looked up. Their gazes were all concentrated on the two girls in the middle of the stage.

One was wearing a black and white young girl’s jacket, with two sky blue ponytails, with a complexion that was pale and luminous like jade. The other was dressed in traditional clothing, two long strands of hair extending to the front of her chest, her expression gentle, her bearing refined.

The audience chanted. “Hatsune Tianyi…”

At the same time, the two young girls on stage turned their gazes toward the crowd. They blushed and lowered their heads.

The entire West Fourth Loop Stadium fell into an ineffable silence.

The silence persisted for a total of five seconds, after which the crowd came to their feet as one and broke into thunderous applause for Hatsune Miku and Luo Tianyi, the two young girls who existed only in the digital dimension.

The crowd went wild!

Everyone cheered unrestrainedly. An all-new song, two completely made believe but oh-so-realistic girls! A brand new duo! The audience’s minds were bombarded by all these! They never thought that they could have technology like this!

It took just that one split second for Hatsune Miku and Luo Tianyi to become the perfect dream lover of all the young men and women present!

That’s right, even females were unable to resist liking them!

The loud cheers went on for a whole two minutes before the crowd calmed down.

When everyone had finally calmed down, Hatsune Miku, who had two sky blue ponytails, smiled bashfully and inclined her head ever so slightly. She introduced herself, “Hello everyone, my… my name is Hatsune Miku. Thank you, everyone…” Hatsune Miku then broke into a shy little laugh. “Heh… Hehe…”

Her endearing, bashful expression, her appearance that was a cross between two- and three-dimensional imaging, as well as her introduction, made everyone present immediately fond of her. They felt like they wanted to gather this girl into their arms and shower her with kisses.

“I’m Luo Tianyi, I hope everyone will like us.” Unlike Hatsune Miku’s endearing bashfulness, Luo Tianyi was outgoing and unrestrained. She greeted everyone, “Dear audience, I love you!”

Luo Tianyi’s physical appearance, too, won the cheers and support of numerous audience members.
