Chapter 2319: Request

Chapter 2319: Request

Sam walked out of the Thor academy.

Nobody is waiting for him. Nobody attacked him. He just walked to the paradise inn. On his way, he spotted dozens of battles of all kinds of grades.

When he reached the paradise inn, he was dumbfounded by the sight. The building is collapsed to the ground. Nothing's there except for the huge pile of rubble.

*BAM*

At that moment, someone landed beside him.

Dove looked at Sam and said.

"I was wondering when you will be here. Our team shifted places."

"What happened?"

"Really? You can't take a guess?" She rolled her eyes at him. Sam nodded in understanding and walked with her. It seems like they were ambushed, an attack similar to the one launched on Sam, might have taken place.

"Seems like we are very popular this time around." Sam asked on their way.

"Thanks to a certain someone."

Sam just shrugged. He has no guilt whatsoever about whatever he caused in this realm. If they want to blame someone, they can take it up with Gambler and the other gods for dragging him here.

"Anyway, what's the status of the third and fourth grade students? I haven't bothered with you guys until now, because I was busy hiding myself.

I would like to know how you guys are doing."

"We got some wins here and there. Second place in third grade formations, third place in third grade inscriptions, first place in third grade war strategy, the weapon making is still in progress. They are doing well in solo combat as well.

One of them is eliminated just today. He was swarmed like you were swarmed. They targeted the Paradise inn like their lives depended on it.

But they soon regretted their actions and turned their tails.

The third graders are hunting them down as we speak."

"I never knew the gambler academy students are into hunting down and tearing down the enemies. That's new."

"That's new to us as well.

Our academy never put any pressure on us to get the scores or do well in these competitions. We participate purely out of our own will and perform as we wished. Most of the time a lot of us don't like to show off our capabilities because they are unconventional.

We prefer mastering them more than displaying them.

However, there are times even that kind of patient and low-key people feel provoked."

"And I happened to bring that out. Why do I feel a bit proud of myself?"

"I don't know if the rest of the students do so as well."

"Tell it to someone who cares. Anyway, why did you want to meet me here?"

"Nothing, I just wanted to show you the new place of residence. You are not attending to your communication token."

Sam had an expression of realiziation.

"I am sorry, I turned off the academy issued communication token. Too many people were trying to track me, I cannot have such an easy lead get stuck to me."

"How can someone track you with the communication token? Are you sure you are not bullshitting?"

Sam just shrugged and didn't bother elaborating.

"Anyway, the fourth graders also entered top five in most of the auxiliary competitions and we are doing well in the solo combat as well. We almost lost one, but he survived.

That's good to know. If all five of you can move to the top sixteen and participate in the next round, I wonder what the faces of the Olympian academy deans would look like. I am sure those old men will throw tantrums."

Dove rolled her eyes once again.

"Your sadistic fantasies aside, I have something to ask of you."

"What is it?"

"The second graders almost lost one of the candidates in Solo combat to the Zeus academy members. Maybe because of the commotion you caused, the Zeus academy member appeared distracted and didn't focus.

Our member used all his strength to escape and gave up.

You killed those guys after that. Of course, you know that part."

"Okay, what do you want me to do? Don't expect me to apologize to him. I didn't even really provoke any academies this time around. They started everything."

Dove facepalmed and said.

"Why are you in such a hurry to speak? I don't want you to apologize. That guy happened to be in the team competition as well. I want you to join that test."

"The team competition?"

"Yes."

"Why?"

"I do admit that you didn't start this stint for this competition. Only for this competition, but you did escalate the crap out of it. Those kids will be targeted inside like Crazy. They won't

even get a rest."

Sam thought for a moment and suddenly he realized something.

"Wait a minute, this time around, there are only three man teams for the team competition. So, did Crow lose?"

"No actually..." Dove paused a bit and Sam guessed who it is.

There is no way Rashma could lose. He doubted anyone in the second grade could go toe to

toe with her.

"Then, Chetan? That is unexpected. He is a strong opponent. While the guy who defeated him... he is weak as fuck. How could he even lose? Even I managed to take him down with just one proper clean attack."

Sam is kind of downplaying his attack here. Target 3 that he killed from Zeus clearly showed exceptional speed and projectile attack methods with his daggers. He is very powerful. The only reason he fell down is because of the two explosions that happened without any sign and they happened at the two weak points that even the Target didn't know existed.

So, saying its just one clean attack.... Albeit being right technically is a huge understatement. "It was an ambush. A large formation trap was laid down there. He was bombarded by many people. He killed four before he landed in that spot where the trap was ready.

Once he killed his fourth target, the trap triggered and caught him off guard.

He didn't have a way to escape. The poison that was used also had a severe weakening effect

on him. It seemed to effect him on a genetic level. He is an extremely perilous situation even

now."

"A trap? That guy really didn't look like he could lay down such a thing, though."

Sam is indeed very surprised. The Target 3 he killed didn't really seem like much. To think a tough opponent like Chetan would fall in his hands....

"Still, I think you are worrying too much. Rashma is still in there. Do you really think anyone could even lay scratch on her?"

"There are a couple of contestants who might put up some fight. Still, I am sure she can handle everyone there is. The problem lies with Crow. If things are as they are now, he will definitely die. The fights for the solo combat already increased.

A lot of academies became desperate.

To keep it short, I would be more assured if you are inside. That is all I can say. If that is not enough to convince you, there is no need for me to say more.

Just think it over."

They halted at the new building assigned to them. He went to his newly assigned room and

took out the chain sickle and some daggers. He thought over what Dove asked of him while

making some inscriptions on all the weapons.

He spent more than two hours on that.

After he was done, he even felt a bit exhausted. Then he packed all of them in his storage

before he disappeared with spatial blink.

Meanwhile, in the far away corner of the city.

The remnant members of the Hel academy students are gathered there. To be fair, it would be

a stretch to call it a gathering because only two people are left here. The remaining three are done. One of them had their token marked green.

He is engaged with a candidate of a different academy.

"Did your plan work?" The first guy asked the second guy. The second guy is the one who is

engaged by the way.

"It did. I beat him up, locked him and placed him in a hidden location within our academy grounds. Even if someone goes there searching for us, they will not find him no matter what." "That is good. Now, your position is secured. We need to try and reduce the participants with borrowed knives. There are still almost hundred candidates left. We only have until tomorrow

night...

As they are discussing all of a sudden, both of them sensed something coming at them.

*SWOOSH*

A barrier automatically appeared around the second guy, while the first guy looked at the

coming blade ray. It is sharp, so sharp and flexible that it came at him with the weirdest angle

he has ever witnessed.

He jumped to the side hoping to dodge the attack. But at this moment, a shadow undead

appeared a few meters away in the direction he was moving in.

*SWOOSH* It threw a dagger aimed at his eyes.
