The next day, Ning Shu prepared to head to the county police station.

“You don’t need that much!” Wang Ying’s mother tried to snatch the money back, but Ning Shu shoved it into her pocket and walked out.
Ning Shu took a bus to the county police station. It was the day of the trial.
According to the law, Li Bing would definitely go to prison.
“Are you sure you want to press charges? The county TV station will record it, and some tabloids might report on it. Not many women are willing to go to court over these cases,” the female officer asked Ning Shu.
This kind of thing was usually ignored unless the victim reported it.

The judge read out the charges against Li Bing, who became agitated and denied them. “I didn’t rape anyone! Wang Ying and I are dating!”
Li Bing was terrified of going to prison. That morning, his mother had confidently told him that Wang Ying agreed to settle privately.
So now, all he needed to do was deny the charges.
“The victim, please come forward,” the judge called out.
Ning Shu stood up quickly. Everyone stared at her.
Ning Shu held her head high and ignored their strange gazes.
“Are you and the defendant in a romantic relationship?” the judge asked Ning Shu.
Li Bing and his mother looked at Ning Shu with anticipation. As long as she said they were, this matter could be resolved.
Ning Shu curled her lips slightly and shook her head with her head slightly lowered. “We’re not in a relationship. We’re not dating. He raped me. The surveillance footage from the supermarket and the recording pen can prove it.”
Someone handed the recording pen to the judge. When he turned it on, Li Bing’s mother’s sharp and aggressive cursing filled the courtroom.
