Pioneer Lord: I Have Conquering System

Chapter 564 - 360: The Despairing Divine Servants

Chapter 564: Chapter 360: The Despairing Divine Servants

So far, the things Levi had done most in his life were killing and setting fires.

He could size up any opponent with a single glance. This so-called "Son of Hope" was no different. The arrogance on its face was enough to ignite the pine trees of the Far North Snowfield, while its magnificent body served as the ultimate testament to its Power.

A massive, terrifying figure leaped from the top of the Tower of Sin.

THUMP! A geyser of dirt erupted from the ground, then rained down like a lid being slammed shut. The nearest Divine Servants, showered in soil, clutched their noses and coughed nonstop. The air filled with dust, as if they had just emerged from a wind-swept desert.

The massive, terrifying figure slowly climbed out of the crater, moving on four tiger-like legs as thick as pillars. Its golden fur glittered under the sun, and each claw was like a sharp knife, seemingly able to slice through steel-hard rock.

The simplest of displays produced the most stunning visual impact.

The Divine Servants were stunned for a moment, then erupted in a sky-high wave of fanaticism.

To leap from the Tower of Sin, which was over a hundred meters tall, and land completely unscathed—what incredible power, what magnificent style! It was truly worthy of being the Son of Hope, the one who could lead them to a perfect world!

The distance had been too great to see clearly when it was atop the Tower of Sin. Only now, up close, could the Divine Servants appreciate just how majestic the Son of Hope was. The High Priest was only as large as one of its paws. Its four fangs, like longswords, reflected the sun with a cold, dazzling light.

Just by standing there, the Son of Hope made their scalps tingle and their cheeks flush uncontrollably. This was their champion, their god!

"My children, you have endured too much suffering. You were deprived of your right to live under the sun, and you have spent every day in turmoil and confusion. But from this day forward, you need not worry, because..." The Son of Hope’s voice was like a mountain spring, a soothing sound like that of a monk guiding lost lambs. It bared two rows of dagger-like white teeth. "I have descended!"

"Wonderful!"

"It’s the great Son of Hope! We’re saved!"

All the Divine Servants cheered wildly, dancing and waving their arms like fanatics. An untold number were so overcome with joy that they began to weep.

"Silence!"

The word struck like a thunderclap on a clear day.

The entire area below the Sin Tower fell completely silent.

The Son of Hope was quite satisfied. It then continued, "Before I deal with those insignificant Divine Abominations, there is one thing I must take care of first!"

"Do you know why those Divine Abominations were suddenly able to find the Dungeon, which is under the great Divine Lord’s protection?"

It paced slowly, giving the Divine Servants time to think.

It waited until everyone had begun to speculate, the murmur of discussion growing louder and louder.

"Because a group of Human Abominations are hiding right here among you!"

"What!"

"But weren’t the Human Abominations completely wiped out by the Blood-colored Warriors a thousand years ago?"

"No wonder the Divine Abominations found us! Those Human Abominations deserve to suffer endless torture in Hell!"

The Divine Servants began to speculate which of those around them were the hidden Human Abominations, all while spitting venomous curses.

Their blood feud with the Human Abominations could only be appeased by flesh and blood!

"Insects, capable only of hiding in the dark! Skulking cowards! I could smell your foul stench even from across the Boundary Land!" The Son of Hope did not wait for the Divine Servants to guess any further. Its eight folded arms, like bent spears, suddenly snapped straight. One of them shot out, pointing sharply toward a direction in the crowd. Its voice rolled like thunder in a storm, and its gaze was like a Giant Dragon from the heavens surveying ants on the ground.

Its gesture drew every eye. In an instant, innumerable gazes fell upon Levi and his companions.

SWOOSH.

He grabbed his hooded cloak, and with a light flick, sent it flying. A breeze caught the garment and blew it far away, revealing the brawny muscles beneath and three stripes of paint on his face. A savage aura washed over the crowd.

"That’s a load of fucking bullshit!" Levi cursed instinctively, the sneer on his face colder than the purest ice. "And here I was, thinking you were some big shot. Turns out you’re just a two-bit charlatan playing god!"

His words thoroughly enraged the surrounding Divine Servants. To them, insulting the Son of Hope was an offense worse than being killed themselves. A towering wave of malice surged toward Levi and Fatir.

"Kill them!"

"Burn these Human Abominations!"

"Hang him! Hang him!"

...

"Come on, then!" Levi’s words grew even more venomous. "Are you coming all at once, or one by one? Or are you going to let your Son of Hope fight your battle for you? I don’t give a damn either way. To me, there’s no difference between an ant and a mantis!"

The surrounding Blood-colored Warriors all raised their weapons and aimed them at Levi, the rage on their faces becoming nearly impossible to suppress.

"Truly an arrogant and ignorant creature. The Holy Knights I have slain are beyond counting. I hope your bones are as hard as your mouth is loud—they will make an excellent weapon!" The Son of Hope was so angry it began to laugh. It then reached back into its mouth and drew out a massive weapon that had been nurtured within its own body—a Human Head Spine Sword!

The blade of the sword was composed of countless complete human vertebrae strung together. The surface of the grayish-white bone was covered in a spiderweb of dark red, vein-like filaments.

The hilt of the sword was formed from the attached skull, its face frozen in the horrific expression it wore at the moment of death. Dried skin clung tightly to the cranium, and cloudy, glazed eyeballs were embedded in its sockets. Its cracked lips were peeled back in a silent scream, showing the terrible agony its owner must have endured before death.

Although an unknown amount of time had passed, the head had clearly been meticulously preserved, and its original features were still vaguely discernible.
