Peasant Woman's Decreed Life as a Wife

Chapter 1245 Chapter 1242 Night Talk

Chapter 1245: Chapter 1242: Night Talk Chapter 1245: Chapter 1242: Night Talk The warmth from the large, hot hand at her waist spread throughout her body, sending a tingling sensation down her spine, which radiated through her being, and a soft moan escaped from her lips.

Ye Muyu hadn’t expected that just a few months apart could deepen their affection so intensely. She felt almost overwhelmed, her eyes stinging with involuntary tears.

She couldn’t help wanting to push him away.

But her slight strength was nothing in front of Chu Heng, who seemed to want to meld her into his very bones, his mind filled with nothing but the thought of rushing back to see her day and night; it simply translated into more closeness.

As perspiration began to bead on her back and was unwittingly wiped clean by the man’s broad hand, she found herself carefully laid on the bed, her body tingling uncontrollably.

A good while later.

Chu Heng finally let her go, reluctantly. He buried his head in the crook of her neck, his hands interlocking with hers. His hot breath on her neck made her feel a warm tingling sensation.

It made her knees weak.

It took some time for Ye Muyu’s flush to fade from her face.

She wanted to pull her hand back to stroke his head, but after struggling ineffectually, she stopped trying and instead lightly tapped her fingers on the back of his hand.

It was a bit hot, and she could feel the sweaty palms of their intertwined hands.

Despite the heat, she was happy. It wasn’t at all uncomfortable—quite a relief from the torment of morning sickness over the past month. Moreover, Chu Heng was very considerate, not pressing down on her at all.

“Mwah.”

As her mind wandered, Chu Heng rose and planted a kiss on her cheek.

Ye Muyu smiled at him, “Ah Heng, you’ve lost weight.”

As she spoke, her lovely brows furrowed slightly with concern, “Haven’t you been getting enough rest, eating properly?”

“Couldn’t sleep thinking of you, and the food didn’t taste good,” Chu Heng, usually as steadfast as a mountain, was at ease acting coquettishly in front of her.

Ye Muyu’s heart ached yet she felt helplessly fond, “Didn’t I ask you to take some jerky with you?”

“Ran out of it, but now that I’m back, I’ll take care of you and your health,” Chu Heng revelled in his wife’s attention, finally letting go of one hand to gently caress her cheek, his heart aching, “Are the children being too hard on you? You’ve lost weight.”

“It’s all normal, don’t worry about it,” Ye Muyu reached out to wrap her arms around his waist, shaking her head with a smile. If she had been fearful of childbirth before, now, seeing him, all she felt was sweetness.

Chu Heng kissed her swollen lips again, his manner clingy.

Ye Muyu patted the space next to her, “It’s so late, are you sure you don’t want to eat something before sleeping?”

“No need, it’s not an early hour anymore, I’ll eat in the morning,” Chu Heng didn’t feel hunger, even though it had been several days since he’d had a proper meal.

He took off his shoes and slid into bed beside her, turning to lie on his side, his gaze fixed on her.

Ye Muyu turned too, meeting his gaze, feeling as if she could never get enough of looking at him.

“Did you receive my letter?” Ye Muyu asked curiously, toying with a strand of his long hair.

Chu Heng grunted affirmatively from his throat, his eyes slightly downcast. Ye Muyu could just make out the bloodshot in his eyes to confirm that she was seeing right. She even leaned in a few times to double-check. Though the exhaustion wasn’t obvious on his face, the reddish tint was, clearly indicating his weariness.

Ye Muyu was curious about Chu Heng’s experiences but also felt compassion for him, and without waiting for him to speak, she leaned over to kiss his face, and blurted out, “You must be tired. Get some rest; we will talk slowly tomorrow.”
