Zhong Siqi and the others immediately obeyed, pulling their younger teammates away from the group. They weren’t afraid because animals were always exceptionally docile around Gu Zhao.

The giant python merely glanced at the squabbling Yu Weitao and Yu Zhenghao before continuing its pursuit of Gu Zhao and her brother.
Yu Weitao’s face was pale with fright. It took him a long moment to find his voice.

He held out a device showing the live stream. Onscreen, Gu Xulin was sprinting for his life, carrying Gu Zhao, with a giant python in hot pursuit.
"According to the location the director gave me, they’re in this part of the sea, too!"
The moment he saw Gu Zhao was in danger, he couldn’t stop himself from calling the director to ask for their location.

A dangerous glint filled Gu Yunqi’s eyes.
"Send men to the island where Gu Zhao is filming her show! Have them stand guard nearby!"

"Aren’t we going to help? Zhaozhao is being chased by a snake!" Gu Huaiyan pressed, growing more anxious by the second.
"Does it look like she needs our help?" Gu Yunqi glanced at the live stream, and the corners of his mouth lifted into an irrepressible smile. He let out a laugh.

Gu Huaiyan was displeased, but when he looked back at the screen, he froze.
Gu Xulin was still sprinting with Gu Zhao in his arms, but now, many other animals had appeared.
From the trees, Gray-cheeked Long-armed Apes and Red-tailed Monkeys were pelting the giant python with mud.
Stones didn’t seem to bother it, so they’d chosen to aim mud at the python’s eyes instead.
