Chapter 5057 Convincing Bai Yingxuan
Chapter 5057 Convincing Bai Yingxuan
Long Chen didn’t want the white dragon race to sacrifice themselves, and he didn’t think their deaths would really wake the whole dragon race up.
Although Long Chen believed that if the white dragon race were to make a big enough ruckus this time, it would earn respect from many other dragon races and incite their anger toward the Brahma Pill Valley, he didn’t think this would be meaningful. There were certainly factions within the dragon race that were firmly entrenched in their own stances, as well as those who would forget their loyalties in the face of profit.
The faction with their own stances would not be swayed by the warning of the white dragon race. Those who only cared about profit might initially be cautious because of the white dragon race’s sacrifice. Still, over time, the potential gains would likely lead them to side with the Brahma Pill Valley anyway.
To use Long Chen’s words, those with fixed positions would remain unmoved, while those willing to sell their souls for profit would inevitably gravitate toward the Brahma Pill Valley. The purpose of ringing the bell only served as a warning for the dragon races caught between these two sides, urging them to remain clear-headed and avoid calamity driven by greed.
Amongst that group, some had been wary of the Brahma Pill Valley from the start. For them, ringing the bell wasn’t that effective. As for the dragon races that sided with the Brahma Pill Valley after the bell was rung, they would be considered traitors. Ultimately, they would have to be dealt with.
This was what Long Chen referred to as the best opportunity for the dragon race. He had employed this strategy before, using powerful waves to wash away the sand, leaving only the gold. He was extremely experienced in this regard.
When Long Chen shared his reasoning with Bai Yingxuan, she became convinced. She realized that the white dragon race’s mind was overly simplistic compared to Long Chen’s. They were perhaps lost in their own wishful thinking.
The more they discussed it, the more she felt that Long Chen’s words were reasonable. After the primal chaos Dragon Sovereign vanished, the dragon race became leaderless. The powerful factions within the dragon race were unwilling to yield to one another, leading to constant infighting for dominance and significant losses.
As for the weaker dragon races, many were bullied by others and sought aid from the stronger factions. However, those stronger races were so consumed by their own infighting that they paid little attention to their pleas.
The dragon race was fragmented, like scattered grains of sand. The weaker factions struggled to protect themselves, making it all too easy for the Brahma Pill Valley to extend its reach and exert control over them.
Yet, the white dragon race also saw that some smaller dragon races were willing to persevere without lowering their heads to the Brahma Pill Valley. Even on the brink of extinction, they held their heads high.
Over the years, the white dragon race had quietly provided support to these smaller factions, hoping to help them endure their trials.
While these weaker dragon races won the white dragon race’s respect for sticking to their morals, some powerful dragon races had sided with the Brahma Pill Valley.
Long Chen had mentioned that the ringing of this bell was for the indecisive higher-ups of the dragon race to see the Brahma Pill Valley’s face clearly.
After this bell was rung, the dragon race would view the Brahma Pill Valley as an enemy, and the scattered dragon race would slowly unite against this powerful enemy. This was their chance to grow.
Long Chen’s speech was incredibly persuasive. Bai Yingxuan understood why he had become a dean at such a tender age; his vision and insight far surpassed what the white dragon race could offer. She was fully convinced of his ability.
When Bai Yingxuan asked what pointers Long Chen had, he suggested Bai Yingxuan to continue watching and waiting for her chance. Striking the bell amidst the greatest chaos would amplify its significance, creating even more turmoil.
When Bai Yingxuan asked when this chaos would come, Long Chen simply smiled. As long as Long Chen and Mo Nian were present, they would definitely be able to throw this world into chaos.
Seeing that Long Chen had a plan up his sleeve, Bai Yingxuan chose to trust him. She started to change her plan, listening to Long Chen’s directions.
Long Chen felt a sense of relief upon receiving her commitment. If the white dragon race were to perish at the hands of the Brahma Pill Valley, that would be too regretful. Long Chen was gratified that he could save their lives, though this responsibility weighed heavily on him.
Originally, Long Chen and Mo Nian had planned to flip the heavens, turning the gathering into a farce and making the Brahma Pill Valley a laughingstock for all.
However, now he needed to collaborate with the white dragon race and devise a strategy. While he didn’t have a concrete plan yet, his experience told him that during such major events, the Brahma Pill Valley wouldn't be able to maintain complete control. Creating chaos would be relatively easy.
Furthermore, Long Chen wasn’t alone in this mission. With Mo Nian by his side, they were determined to make an impact—failing to shake up the Heavenly Flame Devil Domain would be letting down Xing Wujiang.
Bai Yingxue was pleased with this shift in plans. Although they had prepared for the worst, who truly wished to throw away their precious lives?
The white dragon race’s disciples in particular were in the springtime of their youth—the most beautiful time of their lives. If they were to silently fade away like that, it would truly be sorrowful.
“That’s right, Long Chen, we’re going to enter the Glacial Heaven Domain soon. What should we call you when the time comes?” asked Bai Yingxue suddenly.
In the last fight, she had almost shouted his name. Fortunately, she had shut her mouth in time. If the Netherdragon race’s disciples had heard her, that would have been a disaster.
“I’ll take your Bai surname. Yes, you can call me Bai Dale or Bai San. Of course, if the others want to call me, they have to call me Boss Bai San,” said Long Chen.
“Bai Dale?” Bai Yingxue covered her chuckle. “That name sounds a bit crude. How can the great dean of the High Firmament Academy use such a name?”
While chuckling, Long Chen answered, “It’s fine.”
Bai Xiaole, Bai Dale. Since Long Chen was the husband of Bai Xiaole’s older sister, he had to be the bigger one.[1]
The two of them left the immortal cave, smiling and chatting. However, as soon as they stepped outside, Bai Yingxue’s eyes suddenly reddened.
“What is it?” asked Long Chen, startled.
“Long Chen, thank you. Truly, thank you.” Bai Yingxue choked back a sob.
Realizing that she was thanking him for saving them, Long Chen smiled warmly and said, “Don’t thank me. If you want to thank someone, thank yourself!”
While wiping away some tears, Bai Yingxue replied, “Why should I thank myself?”
“Kindness planted the seed of kindness, and now you reap the fruit. Back in the dragon cemetery, you had helped me, and you helped me on the way here. It’s only natural that I am helping you now,” said Long Chen.
In Long Chen’s opinion, good people should be repaid for their kindness. He didn’t care about others, but if there were good people around him, he would help them.
Bai Yingxue smiled, revealing a set of perfect teeth. This maiden was actually so beautiful when she smiled.
“This is your immortal cave. We’re going to arrive in the Glacial Heaven Domain soon, so you should rest. You might not have the time to rest once we’re in!” said Bai Yingxue.
“Many thanks.” Long Chen thanked her and walked in. Once he was inside, Bai Yingxue smiled sweetly. With her hands clasped behind her back, she started to skip away, feeling an unprecedented sense of happiness.
Inside the immortal cave, the first thing Long Chen did was activate his inner sense and check on the primal chaos space’s changes.
“Heavens!”
