One of the Song captains moved.
"Attack!!" the captain roared as he charged forward with his squad close behind him.
Xiao Fang slowly lowered his sword to his side. Letting the blade sink into the ground before jumping back to dodge the first strike.
The captain’s first strike tore through the space where Xiao Fang had been standing moments earlier, splitting the street apart in an explosion of stone and debris.
"Wait!" the commander shouted suddenly.
But before he could stop them, the captain and his entire squad had already surrounded Xiao Fang, attacks erupting toward him from every angle, all at once.
Blades, spears, throwing knives, and palm strikes. The coordination was nearly perfect. Yet Xiao Fang could still see through all of it.
In the next moment, he moved.
He stepped backward, narrowly avoiding the captain’s next sword strike while simultaneously catching a spear thrust aimed at his waist. Twisting sharply, he ripped the weapon from its owner’s hands and slammed the shaft directly into the captain’s stomach.
"Agh!"
The captain grunted in pain before bleeding from the corner of his lips.
More strikes came immediately after, but Xiao Fang wasn’t impressed.
In the next moment, he flashed forward.
Within a single breath, he moved through the group like flowing water, his fingers striking pressure points one after another with terrifying precision.
Neck, shoulder, chest, arms, waist...
Every strike landed perfectly.
The captain staggered backward, clutching his stomach where he had been struck, shock filling his face.
Xiao Fang disarmed himself, and yet his squad had been dismantled effortlessly in a single breath.

"Yes, sir!"
Xiao Fang had no intention of stopping them. His only concern was the Commander.
The moment they left, the commander hardened his resolve. He wasn’t weak, certainly not someone that could be defeated by a clone. He was simply intimidated by the reputation of the Divine Sword sect, that’s all.
Xiao Fang rolled his wrists, before picking up a sword. The moment the sword returned to his hand the Sword Qi and pressure immediately returned.
"Come, show me what you can do," Xiao Fang said.
"Arrogant brat. If I can’t even destroy a simple clone today, then I am not General Song Guozhan!"
Seeing him rush forward, Xiao Fang rushed forwards as well.
His [ Solid Clone ] couldn’t match Song Guozhan’s cultivation, strength, nor speed. And worst of all, his clone couldn’t detect threats, so he couldn’t rely on his swordsman’s instincts to dodge strikes, he could only rely on his swordsmanship, and his ears for attacks that couldn’t be seen.

The commander looked at his hands. His sword... it was gone.

Meanwhile, at the northern gate of the city, the Divine Sword Sect Elder and his three disciples followed the traces of Sword Qi until they finally located its source.
"Over there," one of the disciples said, narrowing his eyes. "The Sword Qi is coming from that man."
"Who is he?"
"I don’t know. I’ve never seen him before."
However, the Elder’s reaction was completely different.
"T-That’s... why is he here?"
The disciples immediately turned to him.
"Elder, do you know who that is?"
The Elder paused for a moment before realizing something. The newer generation of inner court disciples had never actually seen Xiao Fang before.
"Right... you three have never seen him," he muttered. "But I assure you, you know his name."
The disciples looked back at the distant figure again.
"Is he someone famous?"
"Is he a member of our sect?"
The Elder slowly shook his head, not just at their question, but at the situation itself.
"That boy is... Xiao Fang."
The three disciples froze as if struck by lightning.
"Seriously?"
"That’s Xiao Fang?
"Isn’t Xiao Fang the Patriarch’s illegitimate son?"
"He looks like he’s around our age, I always thought he’d be older."
"I heard he was imprisoned in the deepest layer of our sect, how could he be here?"
It was true that Xiao Fang had once been imprisoned by the sect, but what most people didn’t know was that he had eventually escaped.
The Elder’s gaze remained fixed on Xiao Fang in the distance before he spoke once more.
"You three, return to the sect immediately and report that he’s here."
"Elder, what about you?"
"I’ll remain behind," the Elder replied calmly. "I’ll attempt to bring him in."
The three disciples hesitated briefly before nodding.
The moment the Elder drew his sword, they understood he was serious.
Without another word, the disciples immediately departed.
