My Youth Began With Him

“I’m fine, Auntie. Don’t worry,” said Pudding while holding back tears. She opened the door to her room and slammed it behind her.

“Pudding, open the door. Auntie needs to talk to you.”

“Auntie, go to sleep. I’m already really tired,” Pudding refused to open the door no matter what.

Qin Ning turned around, walked downstairs, and saw Qin Chu rubbing medicine on Little Bean.

“Oh my god, did you get hit by your mom?” Qin Ning exclaimed after seeing Little Bean’s red and swollen hands.

Little Bean nodded, with tears in her eyes.

“I’m sorry, Little Bean. Your grandpa accidentally sold you guys out. I already yelled at him.” Qin Ning was just complaining to her dad about why he sold the two little ones out.

Qin Chu’s uncle was helpless too. Of course he didn’t want to get them in trouble, but his niece-in-law was too smart, and he couldn’t hide it away from her.

“We don’t blame Grandpa. Mommy is so smart, we wouldn’t have been able to keep this a secret anyways.” Little Bean was being pretty open about it.

“Big Brother, let me put the medicine on for her.” Qin Ning knelt down.

Qin Chu was rubbing medicine on Little Bean carefully.

“It’s fine. I’ll take care of it.” When it came to taking care of his daughter, he didn’t trust anyone but himself.

“Or maybe you should go check on Pudding. I think she’s in a bad mood. She was crying and went back to her room.”

“Pudding doesn’t need any comforting. She is pretty introverted and she’ll think it through herself.”

Qin Chu wasn’t worried about Pudding, but more worried about Little Bean, who got hit.

The whole family stayed up late and Little Bean was already sleepy. Qin Chu carried her back upstairs.

While he carried Little Bean back to the room, Pudding was still awake.

She sat inside the room by herself with both of her eyes red like a little rabbit.

“Pudding,” called Qin Chu.

She turned around.

“Your sister is asleep. She was hurt today, so please take good care of her, will you?” Qin Chu asked in a gentle voice.

“Okay.” Pudding nodded.

“Get some rest. We’ll be flying to Grandpa’s home tomorrow.”

“Yes, Daddy.”

“Okay, good.” Qin Chu held Pudding, gave her a kiss on the cheek, and was about to turn around and leave.

“Daddy…”

“Yes?” Qin Chu turned around and said in a low voice.

“I’m sorry for what happened today.”

“Don’t worry. You are Daddy’s daughter, so no matter what you do, Daddy will forgive you. Your Mommy loves you two a lot too. That’s why she was strict with you. Don’t blame her.”

“Mommy was right. Everything she said was right. I was too selfish. I almost caused huge trouble again, and I let Sister take the blame for me. Daddy, even I look down on myself for doing this. What Mommy said was right. I got my coolness and calmness from you, but I don’t have your sense of responsibility. I know I let you down this time.”

“No, Daddy doesn’t think that,” Qin Chu comforted Pudding in a gentle voice.

“In the future, I won’t be this naughty, ever again. I will behave better when we get back and won’t let Mommy and Daddy down again.”

Pudding thought about this for the whole night and realized a lot. It seemed like she had made up her mind to behave better.

This time, the fact that Little Bean got hit because of her was a huge deal for her and made her think hard.

“Good, Daddy is looking forward to your improved behavior.”

Afterward, Qin Chu walked out of the twins’ room and back to his room.

Once he walked in, he saw Huo Mian sitting on the bay window, wearing one of his loose white shirts and showing her smooth and white legs.

She looked sexy and different from her usual style.

What’s more, was that there was even a cigarette in her mouth.

It was only when Huo Mian was feeling extremely depressed that she smoked. Qin Chu understood her behavior.

“Honey, why are you smoking again?” Qin Chu walked over, took the cigarette, and pressed it down onto the ashtray.

“I suddenly feel like I’m a loser,” Huo Mian said with self-pity.

“Everything’s fine, why would you say that?” Qin Chu sat behind her, and he moved her shoulder over to his chest.

  Mian u were a bit of a loser because u were concentrated on GK….ur girls have been spoilt dirty by others….till Qin Chu came back, u dint pay attention to how spoilt the girls are especially Pudding who is really only arrogant and selfish and has princess syndrome…..but u r doing fine now….u need to straighten them now when they are 3 ….it’s not too late…so don’t be too depressed…. U r going a good job ..

  Mian don’t feel so bad, you had the right to lecture them. Everybody has been spoiling the twins too much over the past few years. They’ve been letting Pudding be whenever she acted arrogant. Seriously, it was long overdue. Pudding needs to use her brain a bit 🤣🤣 and THINK! Your attitude sucks.

  Mian don’t feel bad, you had a lot on your plate when the twins were born.. You couldn’t sit at home n give them your 100% attention.. And these two are little devils who need constant monitoring.. So don’t blame yourself.. Now that you have time, see how you are shaping them.. It’s not too late, they are just kids who need a little disciplining, so don’t be too hard on yourself.. Pudding realizes her mistake n I hope she learns n changes coz of it.. And seeing her, Little Bean would too… You were alone before but now you have your family n Chu (even though they are all the same n haven’t done much to discipline or even scold the kids, when required, but atleast you have a breather time..). You got the job done, when no one else would do it… So keep fighting.. You are not a loser or a bad mom 🤗🤗🤗😘😘

“No, I’m giving you time off. So you can spend some days with the twins, and then…”

“Then what?” Huo Mian leaned back to Qin Chu’s arms and looked up at the side of his face, which was almost perfect.

“Then, why don’t you go back to work at South Side?”

“Go back to South Side?” Huo Mian was so surprised that her mouth was wide open.

“I already talked to Director Wu. There are not enough people at South Side. So if you go back, you not only can go back to your old position and continue to be the chief of the Neurology Department, you will also be the vice director.”

Huo Mian was speechless.

“Honey, you’re the CEO of GK Global. If you come back to work, wouldn’t you be lowering yourself?” asked Huo Mian coquettishly.

“Not at all. Spending time with my wife and kids is my biggest happiness. Money and power are not my business.”

Qin Chu said this with ease but Huo Mian was feeling really emotional.

Being a doctor had always been her dream. She never thought that she could return to the hospital one day.

Her life back then was such a beautiful experience, and her husband had already arranged everything without her knowing.

“Honey, thank you. Thank you for always secretly arranging everything for me.”

At this moment, Huo Mian felt so happy. What more could you ask for when you have a husband like this?

“Because you are Huo Mian. No matter what I do for you, it’s worth it.”

Just like Qin Chu said, Huo Mian was so important that he would do anything for her.

– The Next Morning –

The family of four was going to fly to Hawaii.

Before leaving, the twins reluctantly parted with Qin Ning.

“Auntie, you are really not going to go back with us?” asked Pudding sadly while looking at Qin Ning.
