Chapter 1151: A Shameless Copy.
After a good beating to bring the senses of the daughter obsessed with her father back into place, Kassandra was lying on the floor with her butt up, burning, even though she was the personification of destruction, this power was sealed, and nothing would protect her from her mother’s beating.
Sniffling and with a crying tone, she spoke: "I will tell my father about this."
"You can tell your father whatever you want, and that won’t change anything." Kali spoke disdainfully: "Now, stop your nonsense and get up and behave like the Imperial Princess that you are."
Kassandra did not get up immediately; instead, she stopped sniffling and looked at her mother. Unlike before, her eyes were completely empty, like two violet black holes.
Kali shuddered slightly. Those eyes reminded her a lot of Victor when he became possessive of her.
"You really aren’t cheating on my father, right?"
"Of course not. Stop your nonsense. I love my husband and wouldn’t trade him for anyone." Kali replied seriously.
"Hmm." Kassandra simply stood up gracefully and lightly patted her butt to make the pain stop. "Good." She smiled gently, and her eyes returned to normal: "I would hate to hurt my mother."
"...." Kali put her hand on her forehead and sighed. She did not even try to argue because she knew very well that her daughter was serious now.
’This family has a serious problem... Well, it’s not like I didn’t know that.’ Kali thought. She knew very well what she was getting herself into when she decided to court her Husband. The problem was that she did not expect her daughters to become like this too, and some of them were even worse than Kassandra. Victor’s daughter with Kaguya, for example, was a completely shameless female version of her father. Yuno didn’t even hide her type of personality anymore, and to make matters worse, her father completely supported her. Kali began to feel a headache again, that familiar headache that all of Victor’s more rational wives had.
Putting that aside, she decided to return to business. Using her dragon powers, she returned to the throne room with her appearance completely intact. Neither she nor her daughter had changed at all.
"Sorry for the delay, let’s get back to the matters I came here for today." Kali, not wanting to waste any more time, decided to get straight to the point. After all, the longer she took, the more reasons Kassandra would probably have to find reasons to lose control.
"First of all, what do you think of my Husband’s announcement?"
"Understandable. If he is preparing for these beings, the more military forces he has, the better." On this matter, Shiva shared the same opinion as the Heavenly Father. He did not think that any competent ruler would disagree with Victor’s actions. He simply did not like being bound to Victor, even if it was a promise of protection. To Shiva, it seemed more like a collar.
"I understand." That answer was enough.
Kali did not even need to use her powers to read Shiva. She had known him for quite some time, and already had an idea of Shiva’s opinion on the matter, but this was something she did not care about. If the price of the Empire’s protection was having his soul bound to her husband, so be it. It was better than mutual destruction. Kali raised her hand and a red sphere was created.
"This is..." Shiva’s eyes narrowed.
"My knowledge, and Victor’s, about destruction, a complete report on the enemy forces." A gift similar to the one given to the Heavenly Father, but in the form of knowledge, and this was not, in any way, Victor being partial. It was simply that, for the current Shiva, more power in the divinity of destruction was useless.
He was stuck because he did not understand the concept of destruction itself. Therefore, the insights from Victor and Kali about destruction were much more valuable to him. With this item, he would be able to progress even further in his mastery of destruction. And the report on the enemies was something Victor had also given to the Heavenly Father. Since angels were different from gods, he did not need to give any knowledge about how to strengthen the gods. After all, the gods themselves already knew how to become stronger; they were simply too lazy. Victor gave them everything they needed most at that moment to progress; the rest was up to them.
"I understand... And the reason for such a gift is?" Even though he really wanted that knowledge about destruction, Shiva was not a fool.
"Strengthening our allies. The Heavenly Father and Amaterasu received the same treatment." Kali replied neutrally.
’Although Amaterasu’s treatment is much better than the other two, after all, she is my sister.’ Kali thought. In this regard, Victor was clearly very partial, but this was understandable; the other side was his wife, who had given him a daughter, and she had been his ally for the longest time.
Now that this thought had taken shape, the Dragon Goddess of destruction furtively looked at Shiva and thought: ’If I become the Goddess Queen of this pantheon, won’t the treatment improve even more?’ After thinking about this for a few seconds, she immediately discarded the idea. She had no patience to deal with fools, thank you very much. She had never been a very sociable goddess anyway. It was better not to get involved in problems that would only give her a headache and make her want to destroy everything.
"You will understand when you look at the actual battle report." With a gesture of her hand, Kali sent the sphere to Shiva.
Shiva looked attentively at the sphere for a few seconds, then took the sphere in his hand and absorbed the knowledge within it. For now, he ignored the knowledge about destruction and focused on the report.
"... Shit." Even he could not contain himself when he saw what had just happened. He would be able to survive that attack, but something told him that this was only a basic attack; therefore, in the worst-case scenario, that would not be the only attack he would suffer, and he was not very confident about taking attacks capable of destroying an entire solar system head-on several times.
The scale of this battle was ridiculous, and sacrificing an entire solar system, these enemies were crazy.
"Are all the enemies like this?" Shiva asked.
"Perhaps, we don’t know, but we are working under the assumption that they are all like this." Kali replied.
"The lowest level of the enemy, we categorize as CODE: V-03; they have the power to destroy entire continents, and these are only the lowest-level soldiers."
"If it’s only that level, it’s easy. The problem will be the elite."
"You don’t understand; there are billions of soldiers at this level. I repeat again: they are low-level soldiers, which means they are the enemy’s cannon fodder."
"... Well, damn." Even if many ants joined together, they would eventually bring down an elephant. After all, except for a few selected beings, not everyone had absurd amounts of energy.
"The enemies’ elites and strongest gods, we presume they will be at the level of CODE: V-06, beings capable of destroying entire galaxies, and we don’t know how many of them they have, but since they are factions that have existed for a long time... We are assuming that they will have a good stock of these forces."
"Damn, the situation is bad, huh."
’No wonder Victor is preparing so much; I would do the same if I had this information.’ He now regretted some decisions he had made recently. Shiva thought.
"We are preparing for the worst-case scenario, but we will only know what the situation is really like when the barrier falls."
Currently, sending spies to the upper sectors was very risky. The barrier between the sectors was already very thin and close to breaking. If Victor broke the barrier somewhere else to send spies, it was possible that the barrier would break completely.
It was as thin as the cheapest plastic now. It was the only available gate that led directly into enemy territory, where they were probably camped on the other side, waiting for the barrier to fall.
Despite this fragility existing only on Victor’s side, on the enemies’ side, the barrier remained as strong as ever.
For now, they were blind about the other side, but since Victor did not like working blindly, he positioned his heralds at the weakest locations. Any information they obtained was immediately transferred to the Empire. But Shiva did not need to know this yet. Giving incorrect information was dangerous for hundreds of other reasons.
While Kali and Shiva talked, Kassandra simply became one with the environment. She just stood there without moving like a truly exquisite and beautiful divine ornament.
’Boring, I hate this. When will my mother stop talking? Can I destroy this place? Why am I even here? Ah, politics. Boring... Father, I miss you.’ Her eyes scanned the place, and finding nothing useful or anything to do, she became even more bored.
Kassandra swore that she would never come back here again. She was not a very quiet person like almost all of Victor’s daughters, and standing here posing as a dignified Imperial Princess was very boring.
’This place seems very fragile. Even if I just increase my power a little, this entire dimension could collapse. Everyone here is ugly, my eyes are stained, I need to look at my father... My beautiful father...’ She created Victor’s appearance on his throne with her powers of destruction.
’I am getting better at this, fufufufu. Soon I will be able to make my father completely lose the power of destruction, fufufufu~’ She held herself back as much as possible from drooling.
’I wonder what my sisters are doing. I hope they are as bored as I am.’ Kassandra was petty when she was bored.
’Hmm?’ Kassandra narrowed her eyes when she sensed something, and then, without even warning her mother, she used her power to bend reality, appeared in front of a boy, and grabbed him by the neck. She returned to where she had been and threw him in front of Shiva and her mother.
"Ugh, what is this?" The boy was confused, but when he looked at his father, he immediately became silent. Even though he had done nothing, he knew he was screwed.
"What is this?" Kassandra asked while her eyes visibly darkened, her dragon eyes glowing with the pure power of destruction.
In front of Shiva and Kali was a boy who looked 50% to 60% like Victor, but was not exactly him. The rest of his appearance looked more like Shiva. It was like a profane mixture between the two.
Kali stopped for a moment, looked at the boy’s appearance, and looked at her friend with dangerous eyes: "... Shiva, what did you do?"
"This is my son." He spoke in a neutral tone.
"Why does he look so much like my father? Answer me." Kassandra’s mood, which was already bad, began to fall even further, and this time even Kali did not stop her.
