My Apocalypse System Arrives 10 Years Early

Chapter 622 - 375: Picking a Star for You

Chapter 622: Chapter 375: Picking a Star for You

As their passion crested, the two began to unite in body and spirit.

During their Dual Cultivation, at Luo Feifei’s coquettish behest, Li Xiang called her "Little Aunt" many times, making her absolutely ecstatic.

Three days and three nights later, Luo Feifei returned to City No. 03. She visited her mother and stayed with her for a few days before leaving once more.

Her mother was, of course, very reluctant to see her go. But she also knew that while Earth might seem safe, it was still fraught with peril, and her daughter was destined to be one of its saviors. So, rather than holding her back, she encouraged her.

Luo Feifei had no desire to live in City No. 03, either. Her mother was an ordinary person, so living in such an advanced Underground City was a perfect fit. She, however, much preferred her old house.

The surface was a frigid world of ice and snow, but for an Extraordinary Being like her—at the Peak of Divine Tier with the Water-Inference Ice Element—it was far more comfortable than the Underground City.

Besides, City No. 03 was filled with cameras and surveillance systems. While she could evade them, it was still an inconvenience.

The Dual Cultivation was of immense benefit to both Li Xiang and Luo Feifei. Li Xiang’s Cold Ice Sword Qi, for instance, became even keener and more incisive as he gained some insight into Luo Feifei’s Sharpness and Armor-Piercing Superpowers.

Luo Feifei’s power also increased dramatically, and her Spiritual Power grew much denser. However, she was still stuck at the Peak of Divine Tier. To enter the Divine King Realm, she had to "fuse" with an asteroid.

"Feifei, let’s go," Li Xiang proposed. "I’ll take you into space to claim an asteroid."

Luo Feifei was thrilled, of course. ’Her man is taking her on an adventure in space, helping her advance her Realm. Could anything be more exciting and romantic?’ This was like him "plucking" a star from the sky just for her.

’This was something even that Jiang Cai’Er had never experienced.’

’Jiang Cai’Er hasn’t even reached Divine Tier yet, so she’s nowhere near meeting the requirements to contend for the Moon Wheel Divine King Realm.’

Wasting no time, they set off at once. Li Xiang took her hand, and with a blur of motion, they shot toward the Asteroid Belt at a speed of 600 kilometers per second.

He had done his research. Their destination was one of the most well-known of the five dwarf planets in the Solar System: Ceres.

This dwarf planet is approximately 413 million kilometers (2.8 astronomical units) from Earth. Of course, since celestial bodies are constantly in motion, the distance varies. At its closest, it’s about 263 million kilometers (1.8 AU) away, and at its farthest, about 563 million kilometers (3.8 AU). The exact distance depends on the two bodies’ positions in their orbits.

At Li Xiang’s speed, factoring in time for searching and rest stops, they could reach it in a week at most.

In truth, there were closer asteroids, such as Hygiea and Phobos, but they were all too small. Hygiea has a diameter of only 300 kilometers, Phobos is just 22.2 kilometers, and Deimos is even smaller at a mere 7.3 kilometers.

Fusing with an asteroid or satellite that small to enter the Divine King Realm would result in mediocre power.

Ceres has a diameter of a full 945 kilometers. While not as large as the Moon, it was the closest suitable dwarf planet they could find.

Luo Feifei had been to space before—she’d even fought her way back from a distant Star Realm. But she had always traveled alone. Now, with her beloved by her side, holding her as they flew, the experience felt entirely different.

The two of them sped through the cosmos, at times even engaging in Dual Cultivation as they flew. The mysteries of such an experience are not for others to know.

Roughly six days later, Li Xiang and Luo Feifei reached the Asteroid Belt and landed upon the largest body within it.

This celestial body was Ceres.

Ceres is the smallest dwarf planet in the Solar System and the only one located in the Asteroid Belt. Its mass accounts for roughly a third of the entire belt. It was unmistakable, clear at a single glance under his Nine Nether Falsehood-Breaking Gaze.

"There’s water on this world!" After arriving on the dwarf planet, Li Xiang and Luo Feifei were delighted to discover its surface was covered in vast amounts of water ice and hydrated minerals. Inside, there was even liquid water, like a small, subterranean ocean.

And since Luo Feifei was a Water-Inference Ice Element Extraordinary Being, the Attribute of this world was a perfect match for her.

Ceres’s surface was covered in craters and fissures, making it look quite similar to the Moon. It was composed mainly of rock and ice, along with some sparkling, translucent crystals that were likely salt or Ice Crystals.

The dwarf planet also had an atmosphere, but it was extremely thin and composed mainly of nitrogen, with trace amounts of methane and other compounds.

However, the presence or absence of an atmosphere was irrelevant to Li Xiang and Luo Feifei. Their bodies were self-sustaining, each containing its own microcosm, and they had long since transcended the need to breathe oxygen from an external environment.

HISSS~

An ugly Exotic Beast spotted them and charged. It had two heads, eighteen legs, a deathly-pale body, and resembled a giant spider.

Before Luo Feifei could even make a move, Li Xiang’s Star Pill shot out like a streak of light. Impacting with the weight of a million tons at Mach 20, it instantly obliterated the spider-like Exotic Beast, splattering it into a gory mess.

A system reward was quietly credited to his account, but it was just for a small Tier Sixteen Exotic Beast. Li Xiang no longer cared for such meager rewards; he couldn’t even be bothered to check his inventory.

Li Xiang’s standards were higher now; he had configured his system to no longer show notifications for any rewards below Divine Tier.

The Space Exotic Beasts seemed to have no fear of death. Though Li Xiang had easily killed one, hundreds more appeared in the distance. Each was enormous, and they charged toward the pair like a stampeding army.

Li Xiang and Luo Feifei both sprang into action, turning it into a competition to see who could kill more, and faster. For them, it was merely a warm-up.
