Mr Fu, I Really Love You

862 It's Not Like Mrs. Fu Said!

Little Lu maintained a polite yet distant smile in his eyes as he spoke.

Sun Miaomiao didn't know if Little Lu was being serious when he said that he had contacted her parents, so her heart beat very fast. Her vision swept over the black limousine. Sensing the driver release her wrist, Sun Miaomiao lowered her head and stroked it, looking as if she might cry at any moment.

"Miss Sun, contact your insurance company to see what the highest amount they'll cover is!" Little Lu said to Sun Miaomiao.

"I haven't bought insurance for my car, only compulsory liability insurance…"

Little Lu was speechless.

The amount covered by compulsory liability insurance was a lot less than what she would need to pay as compensation for the limousine!

Little Lu snapped a photo of the damaged part of the Lincoln and sent it to a friend of his who worked at a 4S shop to inquire about the repair fees.

In just one minute, Little Lu's friend replied. He said that if he were to replace the car door at a 4S shop, it would cost around 70-80K RMB, but if he were to get it replaced elsewhere, it would be cheaper.

Since she hit someone else's car, the other party would definitely ask to have it repaired at a 4S shop.

Indeed, it was the right call to contact Sun Miaomiao's parents, else Lin Nuan and Fu Huai'an would need to cough out the money on behalf of Sun Miaomiao first!

Although Lin Nuan and Fu Huai'an didn't lack money, this borrowing and returning… would give Sun Miaomiao an excuse to contact Fu Huai'an again!

Little Lu didn't expose her even though he saw through her intentions. He simply wore a very slight smile. After the traffic police arrived, it was determined that Sun Miaomiao ought to bear full responsibility. The traffic police asked the two of them to exchange copies of their driver's licenses and settle the compensation later. For now, he asked them to drive their cars away and not affect traffic.

The driver feared that Sun Miaomiao would simply run away and wasn't assured. The repair would cost quite a big sum, and, furthermore, Sun Miaomiao wasn't a local.

Sun Miaomiao gazed at Little Lu with her watery and large eyes. Little Lu maintained his polite smile and undertook a guarantee for Sun Miaomiao. "Don't worry, she's an intern at the Kaide Corporation, so she can't run away! If she really runs away, you can come to look for me at the Kaide Corporation with this name card!"

After they exchanged copies of their driver's licenses and the driver obtained Sun Miaomiao's contact number, the driver called Little Lu on his phone according to the contact number stated on his name card. Upon seeing that the number got through to Little Lu's phone, and with the traffic police around, he felt more assured.

The driver walked around the front of the car, mumbling to himself, "How unlucky! To have something like this happen on the first day at work. I still have to pick the boss up at noon to socialize. How am I going to explain this to him!"

Watching the Lincoln Stretch Limousine leave, Sun Miaomiao wiped her tears and thanked Little Lu. "Thank you, Little Lu!"

"Miss Sun, you're being too polite!"

Sun Miaomiao's vision swept over the black limousine with the double flashing lights turned on and said, "I want… I want to go over and thank Mr. Fu. I feel bad troubling Mr. Fu and you to make this trip early in the morning when you should be at work."

Sun Miaomiao sensed her phone vibrating in her pocket. After taking it out to look at it, she saw that it was her mother. She hung up, then heard Little Lu say, "No need for thanks, Miss Sun, since you'll be the one forking out this sum anyway! The company has already contacted your parents. By now, they should have come to know about your car accident. As for the subsequent compensation… you need to liaise with that person later. Tell your parents properly. I was the one who came out to guarantee for you, so I hope you won't affect the company's reputation because of this incident and cause Mr. Fu and I to lose our face."

Sun Miaomiao was surprised. Little Lu really contacted her parents!

She gripped her phone tightly and gazed at Little Lu. "Regardless, I still wish to thank Mr. Fu. I have no one to depend on in Haicheng. This time, if it weren't for Mr. Fu and you, I really wouldn't have known what to do! I won't hold up Mr. Fu's time, I'm just going to thank him!"

Was that not insisting on thanking him?

Little Lu thought about it, then told Sun Miaomiao as it was, "The one sitting inside the car is Mrs. Fu, not Mr. Fu."

Sun Miaomiao paused in surprise, but she very quickly reacted accordingly. She said with a smile, "Regardless of Mr. Fu or Mrs. Fu, I must say my thanks!"

Little Lu nodded, then walked over to the car with Sun Miaomiao and knocked on the car window.

The black car's window rolled down, and Lin Nuan's strikingly beautiful and fair face appeared in Sun Miaomiao's sight. The latter subconsciously tightened her grip on her phone, restraining her expression as she smiled and thanked Lin Nuan. "Ms. Lin, thank you for coming here to help me! I'm very sorry about holding up your time. If there's a chance another day, I'll treat you to a meal!"

Sun Miaomiao had waist-length straight hair that fell over her shoulders, and her features were pretty and clean. She was the kind of girl that exuded purity, making others associate her with the feeling of first love.

Hearing Sun Miaomiao address her as Ms. Lin, the arc on Lin Nuan's lips became even greater.

"You can't call it help, Miss Sun. I'm just doing this for Aunt Blessing. But Miss Sun, you're not a little girl anymore, you're a 22 or 23-year-old woman who's about to graduate. You need to learn to handle some things yourself. It's common sense to call the insurance company and traffic police when you get into a car accident. If you keep thinking of asking others to help you take care of things, you'll never learn and grow up…" Lin Nuan said with a smile. "Especially Aunt Blessing, who's advanced in age and in poor health. Furthermore, she's far away in Jincheng. Is it appropriate for you to make Aunt Blessing anxious with one phone call from you?"

Sun Miaomiao's lips slightly parted, her eyes trembling as she remained silent. She lowered her head and apologized, looking like she had been wronged. "Sorry…"

Lin Nuan's smile broadened as she spoke in a relaxed manner. "I've been your age before, and I can roughly guess what your intentions are. Seeing a mature and handsome man with a successful career like Huai'an, you admire and idolize him. You think that with your beauty and youth, with how so many boys chased you in school, you can get Huai'an to fall for you. Because Huai'an is already married, you find it difficult to offer yourself up as his mistress, so you're hoping to ride on Aunt Blessing's connection and come to Haicheng, then make use of Aunt Blessing's relations with Huai'an to interact with him more, attempting to use your youth and beauty to attract his interest. This way, you won't have to feel guilty, you'll just tell yourself that it was the other party who first expressed interest in you…"

Having been exposed by Lin Nuan, Sun Miaomiao was so awkward she couldn't stand still.

"I… I didn't!" Sun Miaomiao denied it in a flustered manner.

"It's fine even if you don't admit to it. Just take it that I've maligned you. Aunt Blessing likes you very much. I hope you won't let down Aunt Blessing's fondness for you…" Lin Nuan smiled at Sun Miaomiao, then rolled up the car window.

Little Lu stood by the side, listening as Lin Nuan said all of that to Sun Miaomiao in a slow fashion. He discovered that Lin Nuan's style of doing things was becoming increasingly similar to Fu Huai'an's. She also didn't beat around the bush and got straight to the point!

She calmly exposed what the person didn't wish for others to discover, making that person horrified and panicked, yet she behaved as if nothing had happened.

The slowly rising black car window reflected Sun Miaomiao's pale-as-a-sheet face. She frantically looked towards Little Lu, appearing pitiful and helpless, like a lost sheep in the woods. "Mr. Lu… I didn't! I really didn't!"

Sun Miaomiao explaining things to Little Lu was actually her explaining to Fu Huai'an. She feared that Fu Huai'an would think that way of her too!

"Miss Sun…" Little Lu smiled lightly. "Whether you did or not, it doesn't concern me."

Sun Miaomiao shook her head. "It's not like Mrs. Fu said!"
