Chapter 4399: That’s Quite a Big Piece

I entered the violet zone, feeling the pressure I had felt yesterday, but today, it didn’t hit as hard.

It isn’t just me feeling, but something that is being supported by the data in front of me. The changes I had made last night seemed to be working.

Let’s hope they work just as well when I enter, with a higher density of energy than yesterday.

It is early morning. I came straight here after I practiced the session of Garsonath.

I took step after step, leading me toward the deeper part of the zone. I could feel the energies getting denser with every step I took.

Soon, I went further than I had gone yesterday.

Yesterday, it was only the outer range. Today, outer middle-range.

The region is divided into five parts—the outer range, where everybody is advised to stay. Outer middle-range, where I am right now.

It is an outer range of the middle part.

After that, it is middle-middle, it is the middle part of the middle range. It is a place where only the powerful primes dare to venture.

Later comes the inner-middle range, the area closest to the core. Only two people had come this far, the two most powerful primes of the village and the whole realm.

The last one is the core; nobody has reached it.

The two had tried, and the few that were as powerful as they were, but they were never able to reach there. The energy was far too strong there; it had started breaking through their defences.

I planned to stay in this layer, and I really don’t want to walk any deeper, but I might, if I don’t find enough metal here.

It is too important for my effort to get out of this realm that I am risking my life for it.

"Let’s just hope that monsters today are calm," I said to myself, and even prayed for it. I had a hard time dealing with the plant; the monster will surely kill me.

I kept walking deeper, stopping now and then to collect the resources and ore nuggets.

Finally, I stopped.

It is deepest, I will go. Now, it is time to make the round, and I didn’t waste any time and began to move.

This time, I am really careful. Looking at not only what is on the surface, but also what is hiding deeper in the ground. Yesterday, my method wasn’t great.

Today it is, with longer range and better clarity.

It will not only help me find the things I want, but also the monster. I had asked my clone to focus on that part equally.

Staying alive is just as important as finding the stuff.

"The resources are really good here," I said as my strings harvested another plant. I am not surprised; greater density helps in breeding better plants.

It isn’t just the resources, I am finding, but also the nuggets.

Still, I wish I could get more of them. I need to get the quantity I want, or I will have to take the risk and go deeper into this place.

I took a deep breath and calmed my thoughts as I moved forward.

The energy waves came out of me every moment, while at the same time, data flashed in front of me. Most prominent is the energy pressure on my armor.

It is steadily increasing, but at a lower speed than I had expected. It made me happy.

Because this means I will be able to stay in this place for longer. Which will save me a lot of time and reduce the danger by lessening the number of trips I will need to take.

Unlike yesterday, I don’t plan to rest quickly. If the pressure becomes too much, I will leave, but I will return soon.

Soon, an hour passed, and everything went well. I found a good number of nuggets and resources. Most importantly, I didn’t come across any monsters.

Nor the man-eating plant.

I am looking at every inch of the ground carefully. I had survived yesterday, but I won’t be able to survive today, if I fall into the trap.

The plan in this density of energy is going to be stronger than the one I faced yesterday.

A few minutes passed, and I found another nugget of ore. It’s very small, the smallest I had ever found; the size of my pinkie nail, but I still dug it out and put it in my core.

’Every small bit counts,’ I said to myself, and moved forward.

Hun!

I had just taken a step when suddenly, I froze as I sensed the monster.

A graceful feline, with eyes bright as gems. Its eyes are moving around while sniffing the air.

I could feel the same emotion in its eyes as I had seen in the eyes of the monsters yesterday. It is more intense than them; whatever it is, the cheetah seemed to hate it.

’Fuck!’ I cursed as I watched. Freezing in my spot.

This is a very powerful monster; there is no way I would be able to fight against it.

Thankfully, it barely stayed in place for two seconds before it moved, and its speed is blurry. It’s so fast that I am having a problem seeing it.

I remained frozen for a few more seconds before I started moving.

I hoped too much. I will now need to be more careful. That monster was fucking terrifying; it would have torn me into shreds in seconds.

I sighed and moved while my strings moved around me for the nuggets and resources.

Hun!

Minutes passed, and another time, I suddenly stopped, with a shock in my eyes. For a second, I remained in shock before a big smile appeared on my face.

In the next seconds, the strings entered inside, and a few seconds after that, the Earth began to move.

It didn’t take long for the reason for that to come out.

A large piece of ore came out. It is larger than my head, and looking at its color, it is also likely the purest I have found.

I was looking at it when suddenly all the hair on my body stood up, and I felt like I had fallen into deep depths.

I wanted to run away, but knew it was useless. So, I turned and saw a person flashing in front of me like a ghost with incredible speed.

"That’s quite a big piece," it said with a smile on its face.
