Chapter 4349 Bloodline + Ancestral Power

Chapter 4349  Bloodline + Ancestral Power

Step!

I stepped out and saw the night sky and nothing else.

There are no stars or moon and not even a wind. Making the whole scenery pitch black and silent.

"They are not here," said Kanxin. Her voice is filled with relief but also the disappointment.

She is relieved that the Grimms aren't here, but also disappointed, that she won't be able to fight them to text her new powers.

"They are here," I replied with a laugh before looking directly at the eyes of Foxman.

"Why don't you come out," I said, and for a moment, there was nothing but a moment later. The Foxman came out, and it wasn't alone; there were two more Grimms beside it.

I could see the Crockman, but there was a Fire Tusk Boarman.

"It seemed like, you had quite an increase there," he said, appearing before me. "I would have been able to sense you even before the increase," I replied with a smile.

"You have become confident. Different from the scared cat that ran away for the door not long ago," it mocked. "I have," I replied with a grin.

"It won't save you from a very painful death. The difference between our strengths is big enough that it couldn't closed. Even with that formation," It stated.

"I beg to differ," I replied.

"Then, let me show that to you," I said, and a powerful aura burst out of it.

The aura of the bloodline, with the marks of the ancestral power appearing all over its body. They are deeper and complex, burning with ancestral power as well as the bloodline.

That makes it very dangerous.

The Foxman is lowered and leveled more than the Grimms behind it. It's only a Mid-Prime, but it has the bloodline, and they don't.

The long red rapier appeared in its hand, and on it were hair-thin yellow strings of lightning.

They may be thin, but each of them holds a massive power. I wouldn't want to get struck by them, without any defensive method.

As it released its power. It came at me; it was fast, with light covering its whole.

It appeared in front of me like it had teleported. I knew the battle would be difficult, but seeing that speed, I knew I had underestimated it.

I just hope my increase will be enough to deal with him or at least survive against this monster.

"Die!" he said and swung his lightning-covered rapier toward me.

Burst 30%!

The power of the burst filled me, and I moved my sword toward it to defend against its attack.

CLANG!

Our swords clashed, and it created a shockwave. That made the Grimms and Kanxin shake on their spots.

They aren't the only ones who shake. I shook as well hard before taking a step back. It might be using the rapier, but it has the force of a hammer.

However, I am less worried about that and more worried about the thin lightning bolts entering my armor.

Its energy is extremely strong. The combination of bloodline power and ancestral power is no joke.

I have made massive progress with understanding ancestral power and have a deep knowledge of the Grimms bloodline.

I had used that to design an effective defensive mechanism, but I saw what they were doing to the formation. I couldn't help but feel scared.

My clones move immediately to adjust the formation with the data they are getting, but I am worried.

I pushed that thought away the next moment and turned to the Grimm. I cannot afford to get distracted by worries; I need to focus on Grimm while letting my clones deal with everything else.

"Even my weakest attack was able to send you back a step. Imagine what would happen if I used my full power," it said.

It is talking a lot. It is one of the most talkative Grimm I have encountered recently. Though, I am surprised; the Foxmen love to run their mouth.

"I do not deny you are stronger than me, but not enough to kill me," I replied to that grin.

"We will see about that," it said with a grin before turning to two Grimms behind. "You two, finish the human off," it ordered.

Immediately, the powerful aura burst out of the two, and they went for the Kanxin, who, too, had released her aura.

I felt worried about her. The Crockman is powerful, and the Boarman is slightly more powerful.

Now, she will be facing two.

I would have been a little relieved if she had had experience with law power; she had just comprehended it, but she didn't. She is a native. This means she didn't even have experience with rule powers.

It would make things very difficult for her, and I couldn't even help her.

She will have to survive on her own.

As they approached her, Foxman attacked again with a lightning-charged sword, even denser lightning covering it than before.

CLANG!

I defended, but it attacked again while I was still reeling from the attack.

I extended some of my focus to Kanxin and saw Grimm attacking her while she moved to defend herself with a covered weapon.

The frost isn't just covering her weapon but also hanging in the air around her.

It is not intentional, but as I said, she never had law power and had a hard time controlling it. She might have had better control if it wasn't as powerful as it is right now.

The power shocked me despite her telling me about it earlier. Her comprehension is at the same level as Carter's.

I wanted to watch more, but I pulled my focus back to defend against the powerful attack coming at me.

CLANG CLANG CLANG!

I barely defended, but another attack came, and then another—each one stronger than before and sending more energies inside me.

I wish I had fought a bloodline Grimm with ancestral power before. It would have given me a chance to design a better defense.

I shook my head as the thought came to me.

It is good I didn't, or I wouldn't have been standing here right now!
