He seemed to sense it as he laughed and activated his full power before swinging his sword in response.

I could feel the power behind his attack and the full power of the laws behind it.

It isn't just him; everyone sensed that the end was near and that they were going all out. Harnessing every bit of power, they could use against their enemies.

My sword clashed against his, and I shook as the power of the law of strength hit me like a cannonball, but he wasn't much better either.

He also shook, from top to bottom.

In the minutes, I fought against him. I studied his energy and law, how it would stop my inheritance energy attacks, until I created someone who could bypass them.

It could not bypass all the defenses of the law, but it did with 40% of the power.

His eyes turned somber, before he grinned.

"You are full of surprises, Prime Arys," he replied, attacking with even greater power than before. I responded in kind.

CLANNNNG CLANNNG CLANNNNG!

Once more, our weapons clashed, and we shook again, but this time, it didn't stop us from attacking each other again and again.

I responded. Keenly aware of the sharp gazes and powerful soul senses that had started scanning us openly.

Some of them are feeling more confident about their chances. I have to show them that this is a bad deal. I still have a lot more strength than I am showing.

I would have preferred. If I didn't shake under his attack, but I made it seem like I was restricting my power against my opponent.

I hope they will buy into it.

If it didn't convince them and they attacked, they must defend on Carter to activate the organization's defenses. If he didn't, then I will escape.

I nearly spent all my forbidden power crystals. They wouldn't believe it. Even if they do, they will ask for it or something else.

Both Carter and Kanxin are barely defending themselves against the enemies who want to finish them. The only reason the three are doing well is because of my two shields.

It is actually one shield that split into two; they are the weakest. They do not need the strongest version of my single shield.

I attacked my opponent, and he retaliated. Each strike shook us, and the force of our blows grew stronger, making it hard to avoid taking a step back.

His attacks are getting stronger, while mine are beginning to affect it more.

Our battle will end soon, and the result will depend on whether his superior power triumphs over me or my method works on him first.

This uncertainty is dangerous, but it has made my heartbeat go wild.

This is a battle; I had been yearning for.

I just hoped that I wouldn't have been fighting so openly. In front of people who wouldn't hesitate to take a chance, if they felt like, they would succeed.

Seconds passed by another, and now every attack of ours is sending us back before we shoot at each other for another attack.

We are moving so fast that we have become nothing but streams of lights.

We would only become visible in class before we repelled and approached each other again.

I am pushing myself harder. Harness every speck of power I have while making live changes in the energy attacks I send toward him.

It is affecting him, but so is his law, which seemed to be getting stronger.

I was really really reaching my end, when suddenly pale and vomited the blood while his eyes flashed in confusion and surprise.

'Finally!' I muttered in my heart.

For a while, a small amount of my energy gathered in him undetected by law. The reach was enough, so I decided to attack.

I didn't think it was enough, but I didn't have a choice, but to launch the attack, giving my worsening condition, and it worked.

I appeared in front of him almost instantly, before launching another attack.

He moved to stop the attack, but he was slow. That is my energy, but he is visibly getting faster. It won't be long before I deal with my energy.

My sword moved fast and crashed again into his chest hard. It is back of my sword. If it had a sharp edge, I would have killed him.

I sent him flying, pushing a big dose of energy inside him. Unlike in the last battle, I didn't stay in my place. I followed him toward the ground.

They need to know that attacking us is not without a cost.
