Chapter 4309 Coming Back
Chapter 4309 Coming Back
Tick!
The formation of the storage band broke. Seeing that, I got up and walked toward the door.
I had completed what they had asked me to do, and it was time to return home. There were many things for me to do, but most importantly, I needed to practice my methods.
It had been over one and a half years since I returned. I thought that by now, I would have reached the limit of both of my methods, but I was wrong.
I haven't reached the limit in a single one of them.
For the past half year, I have felt I will reach the limit in the next session, but I haven't.
The forbidden power had made things difficult. I couldn't predict the limit, which used to be easier for me, like breathing.
Click!
I opened the door and was about to step out when I saw Carter in front of me. He didn't look good.
"You look like shit," I said, and a small smile appeared on his lips, but there is no mirth in it. "Belial's Star is coming back," he replied, and my smile slipped.
"They wouldn't. Did they not know You had made a breakthrough?" I asked.
Carter extensively advertised his breakthrough, which greatly helped. Since then, only one organization has attacked, which he dealt with.
"This time, their leader is coming personally, along with the top powerhouses," he replied, and my heart skipped a beat.
The ones that attacked a year and a half ago weren't the most powerful of their members. It will make things troublesome. Even for me, since my help had been instrumental in dealing with them.
"When will they be here?" I asked. "It could be in a day or week, but they are coming," he replied, and his tone suggested that he was quite confident about their arrival.
"Do you have a plan?" I asked. "Yes, but I'd rather not use it," he replied.
Hearing the unwillingness in his voice. I could tell what his plan was, and it's not something leader of the organization like to use unless their survival depends on it.
"You can give them the rest of the forbidden power crystal you have left," I said, shaking my head immediately.
"It's a terrible idea," I corrected myself immediately. He nodded.
It's a bad idea because if he gave it to them, the others would demand it as well, and they would not take no for an answer.
We walked in silence before separating. I flew toward my home, thinking about the options I have.
'I wish it would just end,' I thought before shaking my head. I have plans already. If things become dangerous, I will escape without hesitation.
I owe nothing to the Taurus. They owe me. So, I will be within my rights to escape without feeling guilt.
Thud!
A few seconds later, I landed in front of my house and walked through the snow-covered steps before entering.
I freshened up and brought out the dinner box before eating by the glass wall, watching the light snowfall and my neighbors.
Soon, I finished eating, but stayed in my chair, for a while before closing my eyes.
I appeared in my core, beside the library and stepped inside.
It had been a few months, but most of my clones have returned to the library. All the work backlogs had been finished. Now, the four are working on the inheritance and the rest are studying and researching the runes.
Yes, I have already started working on the High-Sky Sovereign inheritance, before even breaking through the Mid-Sky Sovereign.
I have no choice; I cannot wait for the breakthrough.
I am making good progress, which is encouraging since I have not made any progress on the other things.
I spent a few minutes on inheritance before sitting down and closing my eyes. A minute later, I was comprehending the law of healing.
I was tired when I opened my eyes and could only draw out one rune.
It was the worst I had done in years, but I was not completely focused. Carter's words are still ringing in my ear because I might need to escape this time.
I don't want to leave this place. I come to like it a lot.
I will do it, though. I left Tor for my survival, and I will not hesitate to leave Taurus. That doesn't mean I will like it.
I worked on the inheritance, but stopped a few minutes later and left the library. I am not focused, and forcing myself to work on it would be a waste of time.
I walked around my core, before entering a hive. I have not increased their numbers, but a lot of things have changed.
With each generation of bees, the honey gets better and better. They are still improving and have become very skilled at using the forbidden power to increase the quality of honey.
At first, they couldn't even sense the forbidden power, but after a few generations, they began to sense it.
After they reached Prime, they started to manipulate it actively. It is such a regret that it has become so powerful that I could only use a small amount of it.
Most of the honey, I use is still Sky Sovereign, with barely 1% of it being Prime honey.
That percentage would increase after I make a breakthrough. I had already formulated and crafted it. The only thing I have to do is make a breakthrough and I will be able to use the formula.
I pushed those thoughts away because I didn't know how long it would take me to make a breakthrough.
Instead, I extracted the honey from the hives and stored it, adding it to my ever-growing collection. Just seeing the rows and rows of honey bottles made me smile.
I regret that I couldn't sell this honey. I would have received a lot in exchange.
I sighed and exited the core before making my way to the practice room. It's a bit early, but I might as well get it done since I'm not in the mood for anything else.
