Monster Integration

Chapter 2572: Running Like Hell I

Chapter 2572: Running Like Hell I

I was able to divert the force and change my direction, but so did the vines; they reacted instantly and came at me with even greater speed.

‘How intelligent is this vine?’ I asked myself, seeing with the accuracy and speed the vines are coming at me. It is without a doubt that these vines or the one that is controlling it all are intelligent; the question is how intelligent.

Are these intelligent as the Monsters of the same level or more, or they are as intelligent as humans. I will have to analyze this aspect as I fight, as only in this way I will be able to develop an effective strategy to deal with it.

But first, I had to survive; seeing the power of the vines, it seemed like even surviving a few seconds might come as a challenge.

“Second Burst!”

I activated the second burst, and its power filled me; I did not hesitate and harnessed all the power it could give me, as vines were coming at me from all directions, and I needed the strength to survive them.

Step!

The vine from behind reached me and was about to wrap around me, but before it could, a couple of formations had reached and turned me upside down on the left while my right foot stepped on the vines and used it to push myself forward left.

Sizzle!

It had happened very fast and was extremly dangerous; the beautiful pink freesia flowers covering is not just for releasing the hallucinogenic poison.

They also contain extremly dangerous vaporizing poison; the moment my feet touched it, they attacked it.

It was a good thing my armor was strong, but still, it had scared me as I saw the power of poison increasing extremly rapidly, reaching very near to breaking my defenses, and they would have, if my foot had stayed on them, a moment longer.

Not to mention, it would have bound me, and once I got caught in the vine, I could forget about ever getting out.

‘It seemed like we have chewed more than we could swallow by entering this poison domain,’ I said through my link to others.

I don’t know how they are doing; I am completely focused on my own survival. I am weakest, and I have to think about my own survival, lest I burden them with it; even with all their strength, I am sure their conditions wouldn’t be much better than mine.

‘We are dealing with a very powerful thing; my attacks are barely affecting it while it swarms me with the vines,’ Rai replied. ‘I think we should deal with the vine as soon as possible; given how intelligent it is, we don’t want to wait till an even bigger surprise pops up,’ added Lady Atkins.

Their telepathic voices felt distant despite them being only a few hundred meters away from me, likely because of the focus they are giving to the conversation.

I did not continue with the conversation; further, I had said what I had to say and, very clearly, what I had to do.

I looked at nine vines that were coming closer and closer to me; these nine were the closest, while around forty were in the surrounding direction. It would be a death sentence if I got caught even a single vine.

“Take this!”

I shouted as I swung my sword at the coming vines; this time, my target was not to cut them but to make the way through them.

BANG!

My sword crashed against the third vine, it was not the edge that had stuck it but the back of it, and I got the expected result. I was able to make enough space to move through it, and I did not waste any time in doing that.

The runes lit up, and I sped up like a rocket, passing through the gap I had created before the vines could do anything against me.

“Fuck!”

I cursed barely a second later; the vines had reacted instantly, and now, all of them are following me, all fifty-two of them, and they are gaining the ground fast, very fast. In less than two seconds, they will catch up to me, and I couldn’t let that happen.

“Third Burst!”

I activated my most powerful move; it had instantly filled my body with power, so much that even my body was barely able to contain it.

BOOM!

Feeling this immense power, a smile couldn’t help but appear on my face, and formations lit up inside me and across my armor, and a boom rang out as I shot toward the edge of the domain.

I could see myself gaining the ground against the vines fast and the boundary getting closer and closer as I pushed more and more power into my speed.

If I continued flying at such speed, I might be able to reach the boundary in less than one minute, and my chances seemed to be great, seeing how the distance between us widened every moment.

Hun!

These thoughts entered my mind when I saw some of the crystals on the vines lighting up. All these crystals are lighting up in a deep azure color, which is making the whole vine look beautiful while giving me a very bad feeling.

SUP SUP SUP!

My instincts seemed to be spot on, and in the very next second, the speed of vines following me behind increased manifold, and they began to gain the ground me rapidly.

“Shit!” I cursed and poured even more power into the formations, as much as I could to increase my speed, but despite that, the vines were still gaining ground, and within a few seconds, they will catch up to me.

I looked around and saw Rai and Lady Atkins, both of them little in front of me, fighting hundreds of vines as they tried to make their way toward the boundary.

Rai’s sphere is bathing in dense blue hellfire as it clashes against tens of vines that came to attack him, while Grandmaster Atkins has summoned the hundreds of monsters constructs of water elemental energy, which are dealing with the hundreds of vines.

I am very lucky that the vines think of me as weak and attack me with only a third of the vines compared to them. If I had been attacked by as many vines as them, I don’t know whether or not I would be even alive.

Seconds passed, and soon, the vines approached me; the closes vine was just three meters behind me and steadily gaining the ground.

Buzz!

The runes buzzed as I activated a couple of formations lit up, and I moved in the air by one sixty degrees and swung my sword with all the momentum I had got from the turn.

BANNG!

My sword clashed against the thick, woody tip of the sword, and even using all my strength; my sword had not able to piece through the vine even an inch; there was barely any scratch; while I am angry at it, I am also happy, as I accomplished my purpose.

The clash filled me with a huge rebound force, and I did not suppress it. Instead, I had amplified it, as I intended, so I could run away at even the greatest speed.

Shurrr!

My sword was about to leave the vine, and I moved back at the greatest speed when the green crystal on the vine lit up, and dense green energy released through it and entered my sword before it had fully left the vine.

BOOOM!

I moved back with a speed I had never filled before while the green energy was speedily climbing through my sword and coming toward me.

This dense green energy is horrifying; I know it because Rai and Grandmaster Atkins had already been attacked by it. I had made my avatar study it through, and I had instantly utilized the approach it had devised barely a second ago.

My armor lit up, and three Inheritance energies began to fill up; I had created multiple types of Inheritance energy, and I stored them in little packets; these special Inheritance energies could be used in many instances, from healing to defending against the dangerous poison such as the one coming at me.

SIZZZZLE!

A sizzling sound rang out as the thick green poison energy stuck against my hands.

It was good thick; I had increased their defenses; otherwise, this horrifying poison would have crushed their defenses into pieces.

Still, this is just the beginning as the poison had entered inside my armor, and I had to deal with it inside the armor; a spillage of a single drop inside my body would be a death without a doubt.
