413 Dracula’s Castle 5
The floor-to-ceiling French windows broke into pieces and came pouring in vampires that had transformed into beings so terrifying that even the strongest among them trembled in fear.
All thoughts of revenge against Leonel and Isolde were thrown out of the window. The players screamed and scattered.
The vampires and the monsters’ numbers were too much for them to even think of facing them.
“RUN!”
“Get out of the way!”
Players raced in all directions to exit the area. Their fear got the best of them first, and they pushed every player that were blocking their path.
Faced with plenty of monsters, outnumbering them one to ten, a normal person’s initial instinct was to run and save themselves.
“Let’s get out of here, Leo!” Isolde pulled the trigger of her rattling gun, killing a few vampires that blocked her path while running away from the group of vampires who were chasing them.
Those damn creature were too fast that they could even avoid bullets.
Leonel tried his best to keep up with Isolde’s pace, but he couldn’t match her speed.
His AGI wasn’t as high as hers, to begin with, and he could only run so fast with his short legs. The unfortunate thing was the vampire kept on following them.
Other monsters were also gradually catching up with the other players. The majority of them had already been snatched by the enemy, and some even burst into particles after being bitten by dozens of vampires all at once.
Their armor didn’t do much to defend them against the monsters’ claws and large fangs.
“What are you doing? We’re going to get killed if we don’t move!” Isolde cried out when she saw Leonel pause with a white heaving face like he had lost his soul from what he saw.
“We can’t fight here! There’s too many of them!” Isolde said while dodging an attack from one of the monsters and firing her own.
She then clicked her tongue, seeing that there was no end to them. More kept pouring in from the broken windows.
“This is bad!” Isolde gasped as she noticed that it would only be a matter of time before they were surrounded by the vampires. “We need to get out of here now!”
Leonel nodded his head while looking around in search of a way out. For some reason, the doors magically disappeared as soon as the vampires broke in.
He then immediately noticed the large French windows. Since this was only the ground floor, it would not be an issue to jump out of it.
“Isolde, let’s get out by the window!” Leonel yelled.
Despite the situation, Isolde smiled at Leonel for thinking about the window. She didn’t waste time and destroyed the windows with her gun.
“I’ll go first,” she said and jumped over the window. She landed on the grass outside with ease before turning to Leonel.
Leonel quickly followed her, but his feet slipped when he tried to jump over the window. He fell onto the glass shards and accidentally cut himself badly on one of his legs.
The slight pain made him yelp out loud, which attracted the attention of the vampires who were already coming closer.
“I-Isolde! A little help!” Leonel shouted when his body froze from fright.
Isolde looked back at Leonel and saw how the vampires were getting closer to him.
“Get up!” Isolde quickly pulled Leonel to his feet.
When they were about to make their way to the graveyard, they heard a loud thud behind them.
The two turned their backs and saw that one of the vampires had broken through the window and landed on top of the lawn.
The vampire quickly grabbed hold of Leonel’s neck with its sharp nails. Leonel wanted to fight back, but he couldn’t do anything since he was frozen solid with fear and blanked out upon seeing the vampire’s face warp into a hideous form.
The vampire then bit into Leonel’s neck and started sucking his blood.
Isolde watched the situation, feeling both amused and amazed at Leonel’s slow decline of HP.
To her surprise, after what seemed as short as a blink, a total of four vampires clung to Leonel, feasting on his blood. The slow drop in HP had now become four times faster.
“A-a . . . a little help here,” Leonel choked, and blood spurted from his mouth. Puzzlingly, he still managed to smile wryly.
Isolde even had the cool of watching him getting devoured like she was just watching her favorite show.
Isolde laughed a little. “Don’t worry. It’s not like you’re going to die for real.”
Isolde quickly switched her firearm into the [Repeating Crossbow] that Ren gave her before and her ammunition into the [1000 Bolt Clips].
Bolts rained upon the vampires, but they didn’t seem to care at all though. They continued sucking blood from Leonel’s neck.
Their greed and hunger eventually caused their demise. With dozens of bullet holes across their body, they were naturally dead.
“Come on! We have to run!” Isolde cried out and quickly grabbed Leonel’s collar. She dragged him along with her as she tried to escape from the vampires.
The two of them ran into the lawn, inadvertently dashing toward the graveyard.

A small path led into the grave.
Isolde turned around, but she didn’t see any traces of vampires chasing after them. They must be busy with the other players.
Leonel fell onto his knees and gasped for air.
“Whew! I thought I was a goner there.” he panted.
Ironically, Isolde was the one running, yet it was Leonel that was panting.
Leonel couldn’t let himself get caught by those vampires again. It wasn’t just because of the pain that would come if they bit him, but the addicting feeling it brought.
When their fangs bit into his skin, it felt like he was being injected with a euphoric poison that oddly made him feel high and happy.
Louder shrieks and screams sounded, making Leonel and Isolde look back at the mansion.
It seemed like the vampires were searching for other players who had run away, and the sound grew louder by the second.
