Mesmerizing Ghost Doctor

Chapter 4683: Who Are You?

Chapter 4683: Who Are You?

Muchen and Muyue followed Hao’er’s gaze outside and when they saw the Bifang bird, neither of them said anything. Their enigmatic master had been absent for several days, yet this celestial bird had remained a constant presence, safeguarding them and even providing them with spirit birds for food.

“Alright, can you tie it now, Yue’er?” Hao’er asked gently.

Yue’er glanced at her reflection, a smile gracing her lips as she nodded. “Mm hmm, Yue’er can tie it just the way Big Brother taught me. What’s more, Yue’er can also braid hair, so in the future, Yue’er will be able to manage her own hair~”

“Mm, that’s good. Let’s go! Let’s go outside to practice,” Hao’er announced to the two younger children.

“Yeah~” they replied in unison, trailing after him to an open area where they began to diligently learn the martial moves, one after the other. The Bifang divine bird, which had been circling in the sky for a while, cast a downward glance at the trio before gracefully landing on a neighboring mountain peak, settling there to observe their practice.

As noon approached, the Bifang divine bird perched on the distant peak seemed to perceive a subtle shift in the atmosphere. Its gaze turned towards the main peak, its magnificent wings unfurled, and it soared in that direction.

Meanwhile, at the main peak, the heavy stone door of a secluded cave creaked open, and a figure clad in pristine white emerged. His movements were fluid and elegant, each step accompanied by a gentle flutter of the white robe, as if a divine wind was billowing gently and surrounded them. Silence seemed to fall upon the surroundings, as if one feared disturbing an immortal dwelling in the mountains.

Beyond the striking celestial aura that enveloped him, his appearance was equally captivating. Their face possessed an unforgettable quality, deserving of the poetic title ‘fallen immortal.’ Yet, while his aura hinted at a detached, otherworldly being, their peach-blossom eyes held a spark of playful mischief, creating a captivating duality of both ethereal grace and earthly charm.

His jet-black hair cascaded loosely casually, unbound by any tie, falling naturally to frame his face. Stepping out of the cave, he gazed towards the sky, noting the return of the divine bird Bifang. A subtle curl tappeared on his lips as he asked, “How are those three little guys?”

The Bifang divine bird tilted its head, its intelligent eyes fixed on the figure before it. “They came looking for you after they woke up, but they’ve been practicing on their own these past few days. They did try to wander off, but I gently guided them back and let them play within the thatched hut. Do you wish to see them?”

“It is indeed time,” the white-clad figure replied. He turned and strolled leisurely towards a stone table situated beneath the shade of a large, ancient tree, and gracefully sat down as he said,”Go, bring them here!”

With a powerful beat of its wings, the Bifang divine bird ascended into the sky once more. Reaching the three children, it alighted beside them and announced, “Come, I will take you to see your master.”

Upon hearing these words, Hao’er, Muchen, and Muyue exchanged startled glances. Without hesitation, they clambered onto the divine bird’s broad back, their small hands gripping its feathers tightly. As the Bifang bird took flight, their bodies lifted into the air. A rush of wind swept past their faces, prompting them to instinctively close their eyes. Moments later, they felt the gentle descent and stillness of the bird.

“We are here, you can get down now.” The Bifang bird announced, crouching low to allow the children to safely get off its back.

The three children cautiously dismounted and looked around, their gazes naturally drawn to the person seated serenely beneath the large tree. For a fleeting moment, a shared sense of bewilderment washed over them, for the figure before them bore little resemblance to the master who had brought them to this place.

Despite their confusion, they stepped forward, their small feet moving in unison. Their eyes scanned the surroundings, noting the absence of any other individuals. Finally, Yue’er, her voice filled with innocent curiosity, posed the question that was on all their minds: “Who are you?”
