Chapter 6065, Heavenly Demon Queen’s Power

At this point, all the noise had disturbed the precious princess sleeping. Yang Ling’s eyes struggled to open. But when she did, she saw that she was no longer embracing Yang Ji, but Yang Xu at her thighs.

Yang Xu, sitting up on the bed, was obviously fuming while disgusted. Naturally, Yang Ling’s eyes followed hers’ and it landed upon a curious being that had taken its place on Yang Ji’s shoulder.

The creature was long and seemingly hairless but had two round eyes that held a hint of loftiness.

Being the first time Yang Ling had seen such a creature, her tired eyes soon turned excited as she exclaimed, “What’s that!?”

The Heavenly Demon Queen was obviously pleased with this little girl’s insightful and curious eyes. It was certainly better than the hostile eyes the other girl wore or the ‘so be it’ eyes her main host wore. 

The Heavenly Demon Queen was quite quick to act. She immediately shot through space, quickly arriving next to Yang Ling. It was similar to tearing through Space but also different.

However, she had forgotten that the one next to Yang Ling was Yang Xu. How could she possibly let this disgusting creature approach her like this? Once Yang Xu sensed that Space had distorted, she immediately manipulated Space and Time Principles to freeze. Then, at where the Heavenly Demon Queen would appear, she had already swung her hand, reinforced with Space Principles, creating a solid block in her hand.

*Pa!*

The sound of something being struck rang out. However, the Heavenly Demon Queen had not truly been struck. Instead, the solid block formed by Space Principles on Yang Xu’s hand had been the one that got damaged instead. In that block, there was what appeared to be a small hole.

“What!?” Yang Xu cried out, but all she could hear was a scoff from her opponent.

“Ridiculous. If even a being like your Uncle proves incapable of containing this Queen, how presumptuous of you to think you would fare any better?” The Heavenly Demon Queen mocked while landing on Yang Ling’s open hands. As though showing off she had accomplished her goal. 

“Damn it! You! How could you break through my Space Principles so easily?” Yang Xu seemed to be unable to admit defeat. She had already started to condense Space again to form a hand to grab a hold of the Heavenly Demon Queen. However, that proved futile once more as it was easily bitten through.

“What you have mastered is but a mere paltry glimpse into the true Dao of Space and Time. You know not about the true role of Space Principles. Indeed, that man who is your Father has surpassed the limits of this world. But, what of it? Do you think he reigns truly supreme in this Realm? And you two, though talented here, you two are but younglings who have not truly stepped out into the wider world. Yet, here you are, already in disbelief that someone else might be able to trample over you?” The Heavenly Demon Queen spoke in a regal manner. At this point, other than mocking them, she was trying to educate them to the reality of things.

“Enough of your presumptuous challenges. I seek substance, and we must definitely bring this young one along.” She pointed her tail at Yang Ling while looking at Yang Ji, completely ignoring Yang Xu and whatever expression she was making.

“Eh? Me?” Yang Ling pointed to herself, confused as to why this small being, who she was seeing for the first time, was so fond of her. They had not even talked, at most, they had only made physical contact.

“Don’t belittle yourself. This Queen has approved of you. Naturally, you would need to attend.” The Heavenly Demon Queen had jumped off Yang Ling’s hand, as though she was done confirming something, and had already moved next to Yang Ji.

However, how could Yang Ji be like her and ignore his Sister?

“You expect us to leave after you made my Sister like that?” Yang Ji scolded.

“Stop it, Brother.” However, Yang Xu had cut him off. His protectiveness would not work here, and she knew it. At this point, it was clear that the Heavenly Demon Queen was a being far stronger than them. Though her origins are a mystery, and Yang Xu found not just her form but her attitude to be repulsive, she chose to swallow those feelings down. [If she wanted to harm us, she could have done so way earlier. But she did not… Brother, there is no need to fall out with such a being and endanger yourself.]

The Heavenly Demon Queen seemed to have read her thoughts and praised while smiling. “Though our association may be less than harmonious, I do acknowledge your sharp mind. Sharper than this Queen’s main host at least. Your vigilance is warranted, but ultimately misplaced.”

How could Yang Xu believe her words at face value?

Yang Ling, sensing the tension in the air rising, and just wanted everyone to get along, said with an adorable stammer. “B-be nice!”

Yang Ji, seeing how even the shy Yang Ling had spoken up, took it upon himself to stop everyone. “Enough. As promised, we will head out to eat. Any more fighting would just waste time.”

“Hmph” 

“En”

Yang Xu snorted and started to move on ahead while the Heavenly Demon Queen, who just wanted to get to a restaurant already, just remained quiet. Meanwhile, Yang Ji and Yang Ling just breathed out a sigh of relief.

*Snap* With a snap of his fingers, Yang Ji once more teleported back up to the sky. However, this time, he had brought along with him his two Sisters.

As they floated high up above, he asked, “It’s been so long since we last went out to eat. Any place you want to go?”

Yang Xu shook her head while Yang Ling raised her hand.

“I want to go and eat at the Recalling Dreams Pavilion. Is that okay?” Yang Ling asked, with some hesitation.

“Recalling Dreams Pavilion?” Yang Ji and Yang Xu looked at each other. They had obviously never heard of this restaurant before. Then again, they had never really sought out restaurants, and every time they snuck out, it was mostly to explore or play.

“En, it’s Aunt Qiu Yi Meng’s restaurant… Mother brought me there a few times before, and the food there is really good.”

“Oh? Aunt Qiu Yi Meng? Hmm… it had been quite a while since we last saw her. Might be fun to see her again.” Yang Ji said with a nod, which was easily agreed upon by Yang Xu. 

Though they did not know the location, with their powerful Divine Sense, they did not even ask where it was. They just scanned the whole High Heaven Star City, splitting the task of searching left and right of the city to each other.

Each signboard was checked, and within seconds, Yang Ji found it. 

“Oh? It’s over there!” Yang Ji pointed at the location with excitement. Then, at the next moment, he snapped his fingers but nothing happened. He snapped again and exclaimed. “Eh?” 

Yang Xu, seeing the confusion on his face, swung her whole arm this time, intending to tear into Space to create a Void Crack. However, though Space did indeed tear right before their eyes, it was quickly mended back, and restored to its original form.

“Attempt once more with more force. I’ll aid you this time.” The Heavenly Demon Queen, who had kept silent this whole time, suddenly spoke up.

Yang Ji gave a nod, and this time, with two arms, he forcibly tore Space apart, creating a bigger Void Crack. Naturally, like before, it started to mend. However, this time, the Heavenly Demon Queen charged forward and quickly bit at the edges.

With each chomp, the mending seemed to have stopped. It was until she did a loop that it stopped entirely. Nevertheless, she warned, “Enter at once, before it seals itself.” 

The Twins both looked at each other and gave a knowing nod. Yang Xu charged forward first, while Yang Ji took Yang Ling’s hand and ran in.

Once all three Children entered, the Heavenly Demon Queen scoffed and entered as well.

Meanwhile, inside her room, Su Yan’s closed eyes fluttered a little. When she focused her Divine Sense at the Void Crack that her Children had passed through, she muttered, “To even be able to stop me… who is at the Ninth Order… just who are you? Still, those two naughty Children should be able to tell that it was my doing but they still went ahead and left…”

Naturally, Space would not mend so quickly unless it was done by an Array or by someone else. Su Yan was the one who purposefully closed all those Void Cracks and sealed the Space around Starry Sky Palace.

Her target was not the children, but their Father. Who knew when he would be back, trying to sneak in? Nevertheless, she happened upon an interesting sight.

The first time Yang Ji tried teleporting out, her interference was not on purpose. However, noticing the familiar little worm with them, she intentionally blocked their other attempts.

If she had used her full strength, the Twins would naturally not be able to tear through Space. So, she merely mended the Space once it was torn.

Unexpectedly, that mysterious being had managed to stop her from mending Space. Though she did not know the extent of the mysterious being’s power, it had led her Children to go through the Void Crack, essentially disallowing Su Yang from further interfering. After all, if those three were inside the Void, and she messed with it, who knew where they would end up?

So, seemingly before the Heavenly Demon Queen needed to expose more of her strength, she hid behind the well-being of the Children.

Still, since the Void Crack was there, Su Yan easily deduced where the Children went. She naturally got up and left to keep an eye on them, sending a message to Xia Ning Chang, Qu Hua Chang and Tao Ling Wan about the situation before she left.
