Chapter 190: Profound Bird Eagle-devouring Snake Versus Netherworld Thunder Fall
Chapter 190 -153: Profound Bird Eagle-devouring Snake Versus Netherworld Thunder Fall
He stomped on the ground, launching himself forward like a cannonball.
He moved with incredible speed.
He then threw a punch, smashing it down on the Profound Bird Eagle-devouring Snake’s head.
BAM!
It was an incredibly powerful strike.
The Profound Bird Eagle-devouring Snake had just dodged Zhao Yao’s attack and hadn’t had time to react before it was struck by Yue Tianrui.
The Demon Beast’s entire body was sent flying.
“Netherworld Thunder Fall!”
At that moment, Fang Xiu seized the opportunity.
He immediately used the Forbidden Curse Skill, Netherworld Thunder Fall.
Fang Xiu had used it before, but that was just an ordinary version of Netherworld Thunder Fall. Even though it was still a Forbidden Curse, at his Level 26, he could hardly bring out its true power.
But things were different now. Fang Xiu was using the Sea Guardian Staff, which added a significant amount of Attack.
Now, he unleashed his most powerful Attack, bringing it down on the Profound Bird Eagle-devouring Snake.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Countless bolts of Thunder struck the Profound Bird Eagle-devouring Snake.
Fang Xiu could see the Profound Bird Eagle-devouring Snake struggling relentlessly.
Netherworld Thunder Fall was proving to be very effective against it.
Fang Xiu could now see that the Profound Bird Eagle-devouring Snake’s flesh was torn and mangled.
A great number of its scales had been blasted off.
“Good kid!”
Zhao Yao glanced in Fang Xiu’s direction and smiled.
There was a trickle of blood at the corner of his mouth.
It was clear that Zhao Yao had been injured during the fight with the Profound Bird Eagle-devouring Snake.
However, the injury wasn’t too serious.
“Uncle Zhao, are you all right?”
Fang Xiu asked, looking at Zhao Yao.
“I’m fine, just a flesh wound. But this Demon Beast is something else!”
Zhao Yao sounded resigned.
His Skill actually dealt very high damage.
It could even increase his speed.
But unfortunately, he had run into a Demon Beast that was also a Fire Attribute.
As a result, his Attack damage was greatly diminished.
To make matters worse, this Fire Attribute Demon Beast was not only a Level 70 BOSS, but it also had a Skill that boosted its speed.
With that, Zhao Yao found himself completely countered.
Fortunately, his own Power was great enough.
Even though he was at a disadvantage, he had created an opening for Yue Tianrui and Fang Xiu.
Meanwhile, Fang Xiu’s Netherworld Thunder Fall continued its bombardment.
‘It’s a shame Fang Xiu is only Level 26,’ Yue Tianrui thought, watching the writhing Profound Bird Eagle-devouring Snake. ‘If he were Level 40 or higher, this Skill could definitely finish this Profound Bird Eagle-devouring Snake!’
He couldn’t help but worry.
After all, the Demon Beast’s Defense Power was extraordinarily high.
Even though it looked like many of its scales had been blasted off, it wasn’t guaranteed that the Demon Beast could be killed so easily.
“Old Yue, get ready! Something seems off about this Demon Beast!”
Zhao Yao said, staring at the writhing Profound Bird Eagle-devouring Snake.
He had a feeling something was wrong.
“Right!”
Yue Tianrui nodded grimly.
They had never fought this Demon Beast before.
They didn’t know the full extent of its Power.
“ROAR!”
Sure enough, at that very moment, the Profound Bird Eagle-devouring Snake let out a furious roar.
Just like Zhao Yao had done earlier, its body suddenly erupted in flames.
Then, it shot rapidly toward the sky.
Powerful flames, incredible speed.
“It’s trying to scatter the thunderclouds!”
Seeing this, the flames on Zhao Yao’s body flared up once more.
“Old Yue!”
He turned and shouted to Yue Tianrui.
Without a moment’s hesitation, Yue Tianrui ran to Zhao Yao’s side.
Zhao Yao then leaped into the air.
Yue Tianrui thrust out a palm.
Using the force from the blow, Zhao Yao launched himself toward the sky.
He couldn’t fly on his own, so this was the only way he could get airborne.
“Hmph!”
Fang Xiu snorted, took out a Recovery Potion, and drank it down in one gulp.
His Spiritual Power surged, and the dark clouds in the sky roiled once more.
Bolts of even thicker, black Thunder crashed down from the heavens.
CRACK!
The sound of the sky itself tearing apart.
Immediately after, black lightning struck down at the Profound Bird Eagle-devouring Snake.
Zhao Yao, who was in hot pursuit, saw this, his pupils constricting slightly.
‘This Skill Old Fang gave him is way too strong!’
Zhao Yao could clearly see it.
In an instant, Fang Xiu’s black Thunder had actually torn through space itself.
He could see fragments of space falling away.
And this was just the effect of the Skill when Fang Xiu was only Level 26.
If Fang Xiu were Level 36, Level 46, or even stronger, the power of this Skill would be ten, even twenty times greater than it was now.
At that point, forget a Level 70 BOSS. He might even be able to take on a Level 80 one.
“ROAR!!”
The Profound Bird Eagle-devouring Snake roared in fury once more.
The flames on its body raged even more intensely.
“Flaming Meteor!”
Zhao Yao didn’t waste any more time marveling.
As he saw Fang Xiu’s Skill land, he chose to use one of his own.
Instantly, countless Flaming Balls materialized around Zhao Yao and shot directly toward the Profound Bird Eagle-devouring Snake.
The Flaming Balls descended like meteors.
Their speed was incredible, and the Profound Bird Eagle-devouring Snake roared in pain as they struck it.
‘Thunder from the sky and someone chasing me from behind?’
“Uncle Zhao, look out!”
Just then, Fang Xiu yelled out a warning.
Then, they all saw the Profound Bird Eagle-devouring Snake turn and fly straight for Zhao Yao.
It had wings, allowing it to fly freely in the air.
Zhao Yao, however, did not.
He had only managed to pursue it by borrowing Power from Yue Tianrui.
In mid-air, Zhao Yao was naturally not as agile as the Profound Bird Eagle-devouring Snake.
“Damn it!”
Zhao Yao shot a blast of Flame from his hands.
He used the thrust to push himself back a bit, narrowly dodging the Profound Bird Eagle-devouring Snake’s Attack.
But that was only the first Attack. The Profound Bird Eagle-devouring Snake wasn’t giving up.
It seemed to know that this man was the highest Level among the group below.
If it could just eliminate him in mid-air, the rest would be no problem.
“Old Zhao, get back here!”
Yue Tianrui yelled.
“Strike!”
Fang Xiu commanded with a low shout.
His Spiritual Power surged.
The Thunder once again struck down at the Profound Bird Eagle-devouring Snake.
It struck just in time to block the creature’s Attack.
Zhao Yao seized the moment and dove back toward the ground.
“ROAR!”
The Profound Bird Eagle-devouring Snake roared in fury as it watched Zhao Yao escape.
Then, it spat a massive Flaming Ball from its mouth.
The ball shot directly at Zhao Yao.
BANG!
The Flaming Ball was even faster, striking Zhao Yao directly.
“Shit!”
Zhao Yao plummeted from the sky.
RUMBLE!
Just then, the Thunder from the sky struck the Profound Bird Eagle-devouring Snake once again.
“Old Zhao!”
Yue Tianrui shouted, rushing toward the spot where Zhao Yao was falling.
He managed to catch Zhao Yao at the last second.
“Old Zhao, are you okay?”
A large hole had been burned through the back of Zhao Yao’s clothes.
Even though Zhao Yao himself was a Fire Attribute user, his back was now slightly charred.
“ROAR!”
The Profound Bird Eagle-devouring Snake endured Fang Xiu’s Thunder.
It flew straight toward the dark clouds in the sky.
The snake, wreathed in flames, charged directly into the dark clouds.
“ROOOOAAAAR!!!!”
A blood-curdling scream echoed from within the dark clouds.
The Thunder from Fang Xiu’s Netherworld Thunder Fall was no ordinary lightning.
Even though the Profound Bird Eagle-devouring Snake was a Level 70 BOSS and Fang Xiu was only Level 26, the power of a Forbidden Curse was not something that could be so easily resisted.
By charging into the dark clouds to break the Forbidden Curse, the Profound Bird Eagle-devouring Snake was practically committing suicide.
Now, even if it didn’t die, the Profound Bird Eagle-devouring Snake would be critically injured.
And with that final roar, Fang Xiu’s Netherworld Thunder Fall was broken.
In all the years Fang Xiu had been using Netherworld Thunder Fall, this was the first time it had ever been broken.
But it couldn’t be helped. There was a gap of over forty Levels between Fang Xiu and the Profound Bird Eagle-devouring Snake.
If it weren’t for Netherworld Thunder Fall being a Forbidden Curse, Fang Xiu wouldn’t have been able to damage the Profound Bird Eagle-devouring Snake at all.
Of course, if this Profound Bird Eagle-devouring Snake had been a Level 40 BOSS, Fang Xiu could have killed it instantly with his current Netherworld Thunder Fall.
The power gap between them was simply too vast.
Fang Xiu stared intently at the dark clouds in the sky.
Zhao Yao and Yue Tianrui were watching as well.
Until a dark figure fell from within the clouds!
