Chapter 135 - 118: Fortunately, This Elite Monster Died Early
Chapter 135: Chapter 118: Fortunately, This Elite Monster Died Early
Ye Fan was currently questioning his very existence.
A Level 15 Sacrificial Master had shattered a Defense that even a Level 50 Power Awakener couldn’t break—with his bare fists.
’Holy crap, I’m this strong?’
Fang Xiu hadn’t expected his physical Power to be this monstrous, either.
No wonder Yu Boyuan had been no match for him back then, even after using Beastification.
Looking back, Fang Xiu felt he had been a bit unfair to Yu Boyuan.
To have beaten him with such absolutely crushing strength.
’Yu Boyuan must have been in agony back then, right?’
’After all, to be forcefully defeated in the one area you’re strongest in...’
Fang Xiu felt that even without the fifty percent Power boost from his gloves,
he could still defeat this Heaven-Shattering Red Sand Rabbit Elite Monster with his physical strength alone.
It might not have been as easy, but defeating it would have been no problem at all.
’So my greatest strength isn’t Sacrifice, or Netherworld Thunder Fall... it’s my own raw Power?’
The realization was finally dawning on Fang Xiu.
Just then, his fist, having broken through its Defense, landed squarely on the Heaven-Shattering Red Sand Rabbit’s body.
POW!
The Heaven-Shattering Red Sand Rabbit was sent flying once more.
"A Level 40 Elite Monster can’t possibly have only two Skills, right? I’ll give you a chance. Show me what else you’ve got."
Fang Xiu looked at the Heaven-Shattering Red Sand Rabbit as it crashed heavily to the ground and said, "Don’t say I didn’t give you a chance. If you don’t use everything now, you probably won’t get another one!"
Fang Xiu watched the Demon Beast spit up blood.
If the Heaven-Shattering Red Sand Rabbit took another one of his punches, it would probably die for real.
Fang Xiu didn’t want the Demon Beast he was using to test his Power to die just like that.
Sure enough, just as Fang Xiu finished speaking, the Heaven-Shattering Red Sand Rabbit’s body began to glow once more.
This time, however, the light converged on its legs.
’What Skill is this?’
Although Fang Xiu had briefly looked over the information on all the Demon Beasts before,
he hadn’t paid close attention to their Skills.
Besides, this was an Elite Monster.
Its Skills would be different from the standard version.
So he didn’t know what Skill the Heaven-Shattering Red Sand Rabbit was using now.
Fang Xiu waited quietly.
"That’s... Fang Xiu, the Heaven-Shattering Red Sand Rabbit is trying to run!"
Fang Xiu didn’t know much about Demon Beasts yet.
But Ye Fan had been dealing with them for decades.
Even for Demon Beasts he hadn’t personally encountered,
he had memorized all their data until he knew it by heart.
The third Skill of the Elite Monster, the Heaven-Shattering Red Sand Rabbit, was to Enhance the Power in its legs.
With a single leap, it could make a quick escape.
’Run?’
Fang Xiu was taken by surprise.
The Heaven-Shattering Red Sand Rabbit’s third Skill was actually for escaping?
But Fang Xiu wasn’t about to let it get away so easily.
Just as the words left Ye Fan’s mouth, the Heaven-Shattering Red Sand Rabbit’s body crouched low.
Fang Xiu knew that as soon as it leaped, it would be gone.
However...
"I won’t give you the chance!"
Fang Xiu let out a low shout. "Blazing Flame Burst!"
He directly used the Skill that came with his gloves.
A ball of fire condensed in Fang Xiu’s hand.
But this was different from an ordinary Fire Mage’s Fireball Technique.
Flames constantly flared up and exploded on the surface of Fang Xiu’s fireball.
From time to time, the sound of explosions could be heard from within it.
Fang Xiu didn’t hesitate for a second.
Just as the Heaven-Shattering Red Sand Rabbit was about to jump,
Fang Xiu hurled the [Blazing Flame Burst] fireball.
It was incredibly fast.
In just a split second, it struck the Heaven-Shattering Red Sand Rabbit’s leg!
The Heaven-Shattering Red Sand Rabbit had just leaped into the air when it was knocked back down.
"F-Fire... Fireball Technique?"
Ye Fan was stunned.
He knew Fang Xiu was a Sacrificial Master; countless posts on the Awakener Website said so.
But the Fang Xiu Ye Fan was seeing was—a Power-type, with more Power than a Level 40 Power System Elite Monster.
And also—a Mage, a Fire Mage at that!
BANG!
The Heaven-Shattering Red Sand Rabbit had been trying to escape, but just as it pushed off, Fang Xiu’s fireball struck its leg.
The impact completely broke its momentum.
Fang Xiu immediately charged forward.
"I give you time to use your Skill, and you try to run?"
Fang Xiu roared angrily.
He had just wanted the Heaven-Shattering Red Sand Rabbit to use its Defense so he could test his own Power.
He never imagined it would try to run after only three punches.
’Does this thing have any of the pride a Demon Beast is supposed to have?’
This time, Fang Xiu didn’t hesitate at all.
After knocking the Heaven-Shattering Red Sand Rabbit down,
Fang Xiu leaped directly onto its back.
"Evil Dragon Chain Attack!"
Fang Xiu once again used another Skill from the [Divine Artifact - Demon Dragon Gloves].
Every Attack had a chance to inflict Dragon Breath damage!
Fang Xiu slammed a punch straight into the Heaven-Shattering Red Sand Rabbit.
BAM!
BAM!!
BAM!!!
Fang Xiu showed no mercy.
His gloved fists rained down on the Heaven-Shattering Red Sand Rabbit’s head, again and again.
After the first blow, the Heaven-Shattering Red Sand Rabbit still struggled a little.
But by the second, it had been knocked unconscious.
But Fang Xiu’s Chain Attack had only just begun.
The scene that followed made Ye Fan’s scalp tingle.
He watched as every one of Fang Xiu’s punches landed on the Heaven-Shattering Red Sand Rabbit,
sending sparks flying.
’This... Just what is he?’
At this point, Ye Fan was even beginning to doubt that Fang Xiu was a Sacrificial Master at all.
Black Thunder, Power, Flame!
’Are these really Skills that a Sacrificial Master can possess?’
Ye Fan didn’t know.
He only knew one thing for sure: he could afford to offend anyone in the future, but not Fang Xiu.
Otherwise, he might not even know how he died!
"Try to run, will you! Try to run!"
Fang Xiu shouted with every punch.
He couldn’t believe this Elite Monster had tried to flee after just three punches.
Of course, that was because Fang Xiu himself had no idea just how powerful those three punches were!
Fortunately, the Elite Monster died quickly.
Its body began to glow.
Only then did Fang Xiu stop. "It’s dead already? Isn’t this thing supposed to have strong Earth Element Defense? How did it die so fast?"
"Ahem, Fang Xiu, it died on your third punch. Your Power... is probably comparable to a Level 60 Power Awakener!"
Ye Fan said, sounding a bit resigned.
He had been watching from the side just now.
Fang Xiu knocked the Heaven-Shattering Red Sand Rabbit down with one punch and knocked it unconscious with two.
With the third punch, he killed the Heaven-Shattering Red Sand Rabbit outright.
It’s just that Fang Xiu didn’t realize it and kept on hitting it.
At that time, Ye Fan had been too shocked by the sparks flying from Fang Xiu’s fists.
To punch a Demon Beast so hard it created sparks—that level of Power was simply too terrifying.
By the time he snapped out of it, the Heaven-Shattering Red Sand Rabbit’s Demon Core had already rolled out.
And Fang Xiu was still punching.
He only stopped when the light appeared.
"Huh? A Level 60 Power Awakener only has this much Power?"
Fang Xiu froze upon hearing that.
In his mind, Power Awakeners were supposed to have immense Power!
Was this really all there was to it?
’Holy shit, you call this not strong? Killing a Level 40 Elite Monster in three punches? Other Awakeners could only dream of doing that! And you’re complaining that it’s weak?’
Ye Fan roasted Fang Xiu viciously in his mind.
"Fang Xiu, if you want to know how strong your Power is, just look at this Heaven-Shattering Red Sand Rabbit!"
The Heaven-Shattering Red Sand Rabbit was now battered beyond recognition.
Fang Xiu looked down and saw that he had punched the Heaven-Shattering Red Sand Rabbit’s eyeballs out of their sockets.
Its face was also caved in.
Even the Demon Core had rolled out.
"Ahem, I guess... it is pretty strong!"
Fang Xiu coughed awkwardly.
After all, he was only Level 15 but had unleashed the Power of a Level 60 Awakened.
That was already quite impressive.
Unfortunately, Fang Xiu’s Power didn’t increase along with his level.
After all, he relied on the Flower Dew; he wasn’t a true Power Awakener.
If he wanted to improve it, he could only rely on training his physical body’s strength!
Fortunately, at that moment, the glow faded from the Heaven-Shattering Red Sand Rabbit’s body, and the dropped items scattered on the ground, dispelling the awkward atmosphere!
