Behind Restaurant Dongyu, in the backyard of the residence, there was a garden. Within the garden, there was a pavilion where Xue Ying was currently sitting beside Jing Qiu as they enjoy warm fruit wine together.

A red robed-teenager greeted respectfully, "Teacher." It was Ye Qing.

"Ye Qing." Looking towards this disciple he was most fond of during the last hundred years of teaching, Xue Ying couldn’t help but reveal a grin. "I’ll be leaving White River Town with my wife. This restaurant now belongs to you. Whatever you do with it, whether you decide to sell it or keep it, is all up to you."

That Scarlet Flame Knight, the Sand Tiger of White River Town, was now treating Ye Qing with great care, and seeing how formidable Ye Qing’s combat power already was, he would certainly step into the Legend realm sooner or later. Managing a restaurant was but a minor matter to him in this situation.

"Teacher and teacher’s wife will be leaving?" Ye Qing hurriedly asked.

Ye Qing had no father as he grew up, while his mother was like a broken thread who cared not whether he lived or died. It was only now, with Ye Qing’s combat power becoming stronger, that his mother opened her eyes at the sight of money and came over to coax her son, though their relationship remained as distant as ever.

Regardless of his real family, Ye Qing had a very deep affection for his teacher and his teacher’s wife and saw them as his real parents.

And the Restaurant Dongyu…had become his own home!

"There is a very important matter I must attend to," Xue Ying began. "There is not much I have to leave behind for you which I don’t think you could attain with your own combat power. Which is why I’ll hand over this flask of fruit wine to you. Remember, you may only drink two sips of it per day." With those words, he waved his hand to send a copper-colored flask flying towards Ye Qing.

"I’ve taught you all I could, but cultivation is ultimately something where you must rely solely on yourself," Xue Ying explained. "Move according to what your heart and soul dictate! Don’t let external matters confuse or influence you!"

"Yes, teacher." Ye Qing held onto that copper flask; his eyes were starting to get red.

"Little Ye, remember to cultivate well. Don’t let your teacher down." Jing Qiu was also entrusting a task to him.

The two of them—husband and wife—had watched Ye Qing grow ever since he a sickly eleven-year-old child who looked more like a seven- or eight-year-old boy. Back then, he was guileless and left up to fate’s devices.

"Then when will I be able to see teacher and teacher’s wife again?" Ye Qing asked.

"We can meet once you’ve become a Transcendent." Xue Ying laughed, but Jing Qiu sent her husband a meaningful look. She understood that, this time around, it was hard to say whether Xue Ying would return from Crimson Rock Mountain with his life. "If there are any problems, you can seek the Dragon Mountain Manor. They can find a way to contact us immediately."

"Yes." Ye Qing nodded.

He had to…he had to become a Transcendent no matter what. He didn’t want to disappoint his teacher.

"Let’s go." Jing Qiu and Xue Ying stood up and then began to fly into the sky. They tore apart space and left through the tear.

Ye Qing looked up at this scene. "Teacher, teacher’s wife, we’ll definitely meet again in the future."

  ******

Tranquil Sun Province, Azure River County, Water Rites Town, Snowrock Castle.

Snowrock Castle had presently turned into the ancestral home of the Dong Bo Clan, where only those of the clan’s direct bloodline lived. The defense provided by arrays was also at a different level compared to what it was before, and many more refined organisms guarded the region. There were even Deity warriors protecting the perimeter. The current defenses of this area had become truly terrifying, even approaching the standards of the Water Daoist Faction and the Black White Deity Mountain.

Of course, this was also due to the Water Daoist Faction as well as the other factions not really spending too much on defenses, seeing as how they had already been forced to give up on those places multiple times in the past.

"Great uncle!"

"Great grandfather!"

"Ancestor!"

There were many descendants of the clan living inside Snowrock Castle, which made Xue Ying feel awkward whenever he returned and was faced with the scene.

These descendants all originated from the line of his little brother, Qing Shi. A year after Xue Ying married, his brother had also found a wife for himself. Quickly after the ceremony, he broke through to become a Transcendent and began having children. These delightful moments were truly piling up! Back then, the entire Snowrock Castle was truly happy for Qing Shi who ended up having three children—two sons and a daughter. However, all of those children of his were quite ordinary in terms of cultivation. In spite of the help provided by the Dong Bo Clan while they were still young, which helped them all reach the Star realm, none of them had been able to break through to become a Legend expert!

Eventually, however, those children grew up to have their own children, and they became more and more numerous.

This was especially the case with Qing Shi’s second son, Dong Bo Feng, who was essentially a flower prince who spread his love all over the place. Sixty children were discovered to be his progeny, and there was a high chance of many more being yet to be found. While the Dong Bo Clan had a way to appraise the bloodlines of people, they did not know who those illegitimate children might even be, so it was impossible to test them.

Qing Shi had been truly angry upon noticing that.

He had a single wife to his name, and his big brother whom he greatly idolized, Xue Ying, was also loyal in love..

Why did he have to give birth to such a flower prince?

Meanwhile, the oldest ancestor of the clan and Xue Ying’s father, Dong Bo Lie, was actually quite happy about this matter. He felt that this descendant of his had allowed the Dong Bo Clan to truly start branching out and grow leaves, which made him truly happy. He thus decided to protect Dong Bo Feng!

As a result—

A hundred years down the road, the number people belonging to the direct line of descent started growing, while those who were allowed entrance to the ancestral home were all quite outstanding.

"What are you thinking about?" Jing Qiu looked towards Xue Ying.

Xue Ying took a quick glance at the group of teenagers in the distance, all part of the Dong Bo Clan, and laughed. He turned to speak to Jing Qiu. "Jing Qiu, wait until I get back from Crimson Rock Mountain and get cured of the Six Ghosts Resentment. I want us to have our own children."

"Mn." Jing Qiu blushed ever so slightly. "So old and yet so shameless…speaking of this in public."

"Haha, what about me is old and shameless? I should be considered quite young among Transcendents, right?" Xue Ying laughed and joked about. His mood now that he arrived at Snowrock Castle was quite good. This was where he grew up, and the architecture of the Castle remained just as he remembered it, bringing many of his memories to surface. Over time, many of the people he was familiar with were no longer around.

The servants he was most familiar with and whom he grew up with, Mage Bai Yuan and Uncle Tong, were also not around anymore.

But many more descendants were born and were growing up.

"It’s close to a month since I’ve returned to Snowrock Castle," said Xue Ying. "I will leave tomorrow."

"Do be more careful inside Crimson Rock Mountain," Jing Qiu reminded him.

"Relax, I’ll certainly survive and come back," Xue Ying reassured her.

  ...

The next day, after bidding farewell to his Qing Shi and his parents, Xue Ying left together with Jing Qiu.

He did not tell them about Crimson Rock Mountain, which was still a secret despite those on Battleship D9 becoming aware of it—all of them were ordered to continue keeping it a secret.

"Xue Ying, do try to come back more often. You always leave and only return many years later." Mo Yang Yu reminded him. Her current temperament was quite extraordinary.

"Rest assured, mother." Xue Ying laughed.

Hu.

Xue Ying took Jing Qiu along into the sky, and they both disappeared.

Mo Yang Yu, Dong Bo Lie, and Xue Ying’s brother, Qing Shi, didn’t pay this matter any more attention. The way they saw it, this was just one of Xue Ying’s visits back home.

  ******

The couple first went to the Xia Capital of the Infernal World, where they greeted the true body of Palace Head Chen inside.

"Palace Head Chen." Xue Ying passed him a ring. "These are some of the treasures I’ve attained after killing Nuo Nuo An and General Ku Meng. Inside, there are two Deity weapons, though they likely possess some restrictions set by the Great Demonic God. As for the other treasures, I’ve taken some which seemed useful to leave behind for my clan."

"These are originally your spoils of war." Palace Head Chen didn’t decline the offer, taking the rings from Xue Ying.

Indeed, the Deity weapons could not be used for the moment.

But once a Deity emerged from the Xia Clan, they would be able to use Deity energy to forcibly refine the weapons! While Deity warriors had command seals which were necessary for controlling them and could not be refined without attaining them, Deity weapons were different! They did not have anything like the command seals of the warriors, so it was possible to use Deity energy to slowly erase any restrictions left behind on the weapons. Once the restrictions were gone, the Deity weapons would be usable again!

Naturally, the time it took to refine those sorts of weapons depended on how formidable the original restrictions were. Some might take a thousand years, while others might even have to be refined over ten thousand years!

If they didn’t manage refining them within ten thousand years, the Xia Clan Deity could then bring the weapon along to the Deity world—as long as it originated from the Dark Abyss.

If the weapon belonged to a Deity from the Deity world, they would be able to sense its presence and kill a path to the user!

Of course, the more common case was these Deities leaving behind the acquired weapons within their hometown and waiting for another Deity to emerge and continue slowly refining it. If one wasn’t enough, they could always wait for another.

"I’ve attained seven Deity warriors inside the Black Wind Deity Palace," Xue Ying began. "The gold man was forcibly taken away by the Beast Clan when I was surrounded, though, so I now only have six! I have ordered them to return to the Infernal Palace and forever protect the Xia Clan once I, Jing Qiu, and Qing Shi are no longer around. The weaker ones will remain in my clan to forever protect it."

"Thank you." Palace Head Chen did not speak too much.

Of the seven, he only held in his regards the three most powerful of the Deity warriors! All three had reached the peak of the Demigod realm, but with the gold man having been taken away, only two remained.

According to the previous practices the Xia Clan had, they would usually exchange these for goods of an equal value.

But Xue Ying had contributed too much to the Xia Clan! Palace Head could only keep all of these actions in his heart, and when the time came to write Xue Ying’s dossier, he would make sure to record all of his achievements.

"I originally planned to not take the green-armored protector with me inside Crimson Rock Mountain," Xue Ying added, "but another invitation from the Temporal Temple caused me to change my mind and decide to bring him along after all."

"Another invitation from Temporal Temple?" Palace Head Chen asked in shock. "Then, why did you reject it?"

Xue Ying explained what happened previously.

Palace Head Chen understood as well.

"Ai, won’t your hexing poison be cured the moment you accept their invitation?" Palace Head Chen shook his head.

Xue Ying likewise shook his head. "But the Sorcerer God and the Great Demonic God will definitely look for the moment when I’m outside the Xia Clan world on a mission to begin the war. There’s no point in discussing this further, seeing how I’ve already rejected the invitation."

"A 99% chance of defeat, and we’ll face extinction?" A feeling of anxiety overcame Palace Head Chen. "For the Temporal Temple to have said this…what exactly is this plan the Sorcerer God and the Great Demonic God have drawn to have such a high chance of success?"

Xue Ying nodded. "I’m feeling quite anxious as well. As for the green-armored protector; whether he’d be there or not would not make much of a difference for the Xia Clan. But to me, since I don’t have any Qi and can’t properly use a Demigod robe, the protector would be of much greater help, which is why I’ve decided to bring him along. I’ll certainly do my best on this trip. I’ll get the poison cured and undoubtedly return alive!"

This point of curing his poison was of great importance. After all, returning alive would not mean much if the poison remained inside him. The Sorcerer God and the Great Demonic God could just delay the war until Xue Ying’s poison relapsed and then trigger the war.

"I’ll have to trouble you again, Senior Green Armor," Xue Ying said.

"Contributing to the Xia Clan is the why I exist," a voice coming from his green-gray wristband said.

  ...

Xue Ying brought his wife along as he left the Infernal Palace. Soon, they had torn through space to reach the underground area some five thousand kilometers deep. The pressure emitted by the unseen laws at such a depth was not something Jing Qiu could withstand alone.

"Dong Bo Xue Ying." The three people from the Bloodshed Tavern team had already arrived.

"Brother Chen Jiu," Xue Ying greeted. The silvery-white robe which covered Jing Qiu was none other than a transformed Deity warrior in the form of a protective layer of silvery-white material.

"The only ones missing are the members of Jian Huang’s team, and we’re already prompted them to come," Chen Jiu explained. "We depart as soon as they get here. Brother, this should be your wife, right? Truly beautiful; your eyesight must be truly good to have found such a beautiful partner."

Xue Ying exchanged a glance with Jing Qiu.

"Jing Qiu, take a look. That’s Crimson Rock Mountain." Xue Ying pointed to that tiny, meter-long area of dark void. "It is that single point at the very center."

Seeing it, Jing Qiu muttered, "So mystical."

The two of them chatted amongst themselves for a while, until an undulation in space reached them; the final team arrived at last.

"Aiya, I’m truly ashamed to have made everyone wait for us," the gold-robed teenager, Jian Huang, said. He had brought a tall, muscular man, and an enchanting woman along.

"Ladies and gentlemen." The golden-armored teenager Wu Ma Hai’s eyes were cold; he was currently revealing his capability. "It is now time for us to set off."

With those words, he entered the dark void along with the red-haired Bo Bo and the thin man by the name of Ba Han.

"Let’s go." The Meishan Clan Master’s was the next to set off.

The golden-armored teengager, Jiang Hu, and his team also entered, as well as Chen Jiu and his team who were next.

"I’ll be leaving now." Xue Ying sent Jing Qiu, who was beside him, a big smile and then flew into the dark void.

These thirteen figures were the only ones visible as they flew towards the dark void. Approaching Crimson Rock Mountain, they became smaller and smaller, as if turning into particles.

"You must return safely." The silvery-white robed Jing Qiu watched as Xue Ying left her; her eyes were filled with longing and worry.

She was afraid…afraid that this might truly be their last farewell.

"Rest assured. Xue Ying will certainly return." Chi Qiu Bai, Palace Head Chen’s Magic Avatar, Mountain Lord He, Si Kong Yang, and the Grand Elder Palace Head were all watching from a distance.
