Chapter 3113: Chapter 3202: You Don’t Like Cake?
Not far outside Manton Coffee, Enna Clark was unaware that two cars were monitoring her from the outside. After the waiter put down the coffee they ordered, he served them each a dessert.
"Your strawberry cake, please call me if you need anything else."
"Thank you."
Enna Clark took her portion and indeed saw the man opposite her starting to eat unceremoniously. He ate with principles, separating the large, pretty strawberries to the side first, and starting with the smaller strawberries.
After finishing the small strawberries, he moved on to the cake, and finally, the beautiful large strawberries which he had specifically put aside.
Enna watched him devour more than half of the strawberry cake in no time and proactively pushed her portion over, involuntarily saying, "Mr. Nicholson, you don’t have to eat so quickly, you can have mine too."
"You’re not eating?" The man, head down, eating strawberry cake, looked up, but it wasn’t at her, it was at the strawberry cake in her hand. With a conflicted frown, his bright eyes glanced at her. That look carried anticipation, clearly wanting her to say she wasn’t eating.
Enna suddenly thought of Gigi. Whenever Gigi shared her candy with her, she did the same, clearly drooling, still pretending otherwise. However, there was a bit of an age difference between the person in front of her and Gigi, and she couldn’t help but laugh, expressing through action, "I don’t like to eat things that are too sweet, you can have it."
"Oh." The young man was laughed at but didn’t react at all, very straightforwardly and unceremoniously took Enna Clark’s piece of strawberry cake as his own. He even encircled it with his arm to prove that piece was his territory. Once something entered his territory, it was his.
He once again divided the strawberry cake into three parts, just like before, then slowly lifted his head, looked at Enna Clark, and said, "You don’t like cake?"
His expression seemed to say how could there be such a fool in this world who doesn’t appreciate such delicious food.
Enna Clark’s mouth twitched, she seriously explained to him, "It’s not that I don’t like cake, I just don’t like cakes that are too sweet. Strawberry cake is too sweet; I’m not particularly fond of it."
Especially now that she’s pregnant, she dislikes overly sweet foods even more. If she had to choose, she’d rather have a sour and spicy bowl of Hot and Sour Noodles in front of her, with the option to add vinegar and chili freely.
Strawberry cake...
Enna imagined the taste of the cream and her stomach protested a bit uncomfortably.
Forget it.
She’s been too easily nauseous from sweet things lately due to pregnancy.
"What about blueberry cake?"
"Uh..."
Blueberry cake, what the heck?
The man sitting opposite her didn’t seem to age, with a stubbly beard, looking like he was in his early thirties, yet his talk was peculiarly childish, "You don’t like strawberry cake? What about blueberry cake? Do you like it?"
Is there a big difference between strawberries and blueberries?
Enna Clark decided to extend her range of dislikes a bit, "I don’t like fruit cakes."
"Oh." He paused, popped a strawberry into his mouth, his clear black and white eyes still on Enna Clark, seeming to be in a good mood, "Then what kind of cake do you like?"
Enna Clark, "..." Why does it have to be cake? She doesn’t like cake...
The other person finally realized what she wanted to express beneath her frustrated expression, asking belatedly, "You don’t like cake?"
