Chapter 3066 - 3075: In Their Plans
Chapter 3066: Chapter 3075: In Their Plans
He knew that today’s young people were different from those in the past, they didn’t place so much importance on the first time.
At Renee Anderson’s age, it’s impossible that she hasn’t had a boyfriend.
However, knowing is one thing, but hearing about it firsthand is another matter entirely. Especially during that ambiguous period between Renee Anderson and Austin Harper, Renee even became pregnant.
She claimed the child in her belly belonged to the Sinclair Family, but who could really say who the father was, or what was the truth?
Not only that, but after the Harrington Group went bankrupt, the baby she was carrying was lost as well. She didn’t even have that last thing that made him somewhat pleased, so of course, he didn’t want to deal with her anymore.
What he didn’t expect was that Renee Anderson came out so quickly and even saved Natasha Phillips.
"What’s going on here?" Benjamin Sinclair looked puzzled, frowning tightly.
Natasha Phillips had already confirmed a partnership with Renee Anderson during their meeting in the afternoon, as part of their plan; she naturally wanted to speak on Renee’s behalf, "Benjamin, do you know Miss Anderson?"
"You could say that I do."
Renee Anderson felt a pang in her heart at his words. She did not respond.
Natasha Phillips pretended to be unaware of their relationship and explained, "Here’s what happened. In the afternoon, I went to a cake shop to buy your favorite cake when suddenly a car rushed out from the side. I was startled and didn’t have time to dodge. Thanks to Miss Anderson, who happened to pass by and pulled me away, I wasn’t hit by the car. To help me, Miss Anderson even scraped her arm. I originally wanted to take Miss Anderson to the hospital, but she insisted it wasn’t necessary. She even accompanied me to the clinic to see a doctor. I really don’t know how to thank her."
Natasha Phillips was a very clever woman. She knew that although Benjamin Sinclair kept her, he didn’t want her to embarrass him by attracting attention, so she always kept a low profile. She didn’t even go to big hospitals when seeing a doctor, usually just visiting small local clinics unless something was really serious, only then would she ask Benjamin to help find a family doctor.
It was precisely this kind of small detail that ultimately moved Benjamin Sinclair, keeping her by his side all these years.
No matter how many young and beautiful women there were, they couldn’t shake her position.
Sure enough, Benjamin Sinclair relaxed his frown upon hearing her words, patted her hand lightly, "Next time, remember to go to the hospital; don’t put yourself through such trouble."
Natasha Phillips shook her head, pretending not to understand, giving him an out, "I just sprained my ankle, it’s not a big problem, the clinic doctor can handle it. I don’t want to go to the hospital, too crowded, I don’t like it."
"By the way, Benjamin, isn’t there a charity award ceremony in a few days? I received an invitation. Can I go?" she suddenly asked.
Benjamin Sinclair thought for a moment about which award ceremony she was referring to, then casually agreed, "Of course, you can go."
"Great, then can I have Miss Anderson accompany me?" she immediately followed up, "Alexander and Leah are going together, and I’m afraid I won’t have anyone to talk to if I can’t find a female companion on my own. I got along particularly well with Miss Anderson this afternoon, and I just so happen to have an extra spot for a female companion. Can I take her along?"
Benjamin Sinclair instinctively wanted to refuse, then glanced at Renee Anderson, who remained silent, not interrupting or asking why he hadn’t helped her at the hospital before, making things awkward for him. Remembering she had been pregnant with what he assumed was his grandchild, he eventually relented, "If you want Renee to accompany you, then let Renee go with you. I’ll inform the secretary."
