Chapter 3059: Chapter 3068: He’s Too Ruthless
Olivia Lewis really wanted to say she wasn’t feeling bad.
But she’s not someone who likes to lie, and she isn’t feeling too great right now, "Didn’t you say the test results would be ready in three days? Show them to me once you’ve got them."
"Will seeing them make you feel a little better?" Adam Sinclair didn’t believe it would make her feel better, or she wouldn’t have deliberately filmed a staged kiss scene in front of him today.
Olivia distractedly replied, "Maybe it will."
"What I just said was in anger, you don’t need to take it too seriously."
Clearly, she had relented and was no longer as aggressive as before. Yet, Adam felt a heavier, oppressive sensation in his chest. It was like punching into cotton.
The worst part was, he could feel the person in his arms beginning to get distracted again, a state she’d often been in these past days.
Always avoiding him.
That’s why he chased her to the set today.
And she deliberately staged a kiss scene for him.
Adam’s breath was unstable; he wasn’t a man of low emotional intelligence like Baron Lawrence. He knew they couldn’t continue like this, and that if Olivia kept this up, she would eventually erupt.
On the day her emotions exploded, she might make the most resolute decision. And once someone in this state makes a decision, it’s hard to sway them.
Adam pursed his thin lips, watching her intently in the darkness. He suddenly did something astounding. Out of nowhere, he found a small knife and forced it into Olivia’s hand, "But I feel you’re not speaking in anger—it’s your last resort from the heart."
"I don’t know how to make you feel a little better, but if this can help, I’d rather you stab me twice than punish me in another way."
In the darkness, Olivia only felt something cold and metallic in her grasp. Without comprehending what was happening, Adam gripped her hand, pushing it forward.
The knife pierced into something soft, and Olivia heard a muffled groan in the dark, followed by the smell of iron.
She suddenly opened her eyes wide, realizing what had happened, and tried desperately to free her hand, "Adam, have you gone mad? I’m telling you, I wasn’t serious. I was just saying things in anger; I swear everything I said was out of anger."
The muscle in the man’s arm was tense with pain, but he didn’t let go. He forcefully held Olivia’s hand, even as she struggled to pull away, inch by inch he continued to press his wrist forward.
In horror, Olivia’s mind was a storm, "I swear, I was speaking in anger. I was wrong, okay? I was wrong, I shouldn’t have said such things."
"You filmed a staged kiss with another man, and deliberately said you’d take on even more provocative scenes..." Adam’s voice was hoarse. He was ruthless, cunning, and emotionally intelligent enough to know how to maximize his own benefit. He also knew how to shake her heart to get another chance.
Olivia smelled the blood in the darkness, uncertain where her hand had been forced to stab him, fearing he would do it again, she quickly explained, "I didn’t film a kiss scene, it was just a camera trick. I kissed my own finger, not him! And I won’t do more provocative scenes; I was just saying it. I was wrong, okay? Let go of my hand."
