Chapter 3051 - 3060: Wrapping Up Early and Heading Home
Chapter 3051: Chapter 3060: Wrapping Up Early and Heading Home
The final words, "good friend," were a mockery of Rosalyn’s betrayal.
Even though she knew deep down that the one who betrayed her wasn’t Rosalyn but Cyrus Taylor, she felt uncomfortable and refused to acknowledge that Cyrus liked Rosalyn. Stubbornly, she pinned the blame on Rosalyn, who ultimately chose to ensure her happiness. Yet, no matter how angry or upset she was, her nature remained too timid.
She was afraid of losing her happiness, and even her provocations were cautious, fearing that the two of them would notice.
Timidly, she chose a timid way to accept her good friend’s concession and forgive her boyfriend.
This scene was the turning point of the whole movie. Afterward, Rosalyn would leave the country to fulfill her friend’s wishes, and they wouldn’t meet again until many, many years later when they had grown up.
Lydia Bell knew this scene was important. She had prepared extensively in advance, seeking the guidance of a specialized acting teacher several times.
Yet when it came time to perform, she was still worried about not doing well.
Fortunately, she passed in one take.
"You’ve really improved a lot. You can ask the screenwriter, they’ll tell you. Honestly, at first, I was worried you wouldn’t be able to portray Sophia well. Fortunately, you handled it perfectly," the Director said straightforwardly, with a thoughtful expression.
Lydia pursed her lips, relaxed her mood while further solidifying her determination to hone her acting skills in the future.
Previously, she hadn’t found acting to be a joyful endeavor.
Now, she was gradually falling in love with being an actor.
Because through interpreting characters, she could experience various kinds of lives.
Jeremy Payne, ignored by the Director, couldn’t help but tease the Director with a couple of complaints, "Director, you skipped over me, complimented Sister Olivia, and praised Lydia. Isn’t that a bit much? Wasn’t my performance good just now?"
"Haha." The Director patted his shoulder, chuckling with squinted eyes, "Of course it was good. If it wasn’t, would I have passed it in one take?"
The Director was still quite satisfied with Jeremy’s portrayal of Cyrus Taylor, although it was overshadowed by the excellent performances of Olivia Lewis and Lydia Bell.
Besides, the movie itself was a story about two women, with the male protagonist merely being an embellishment and not particularly remarkable in character design.
Even if Jeremy acted well, it wouldn’t leave a stunning impression.
Moreover, during the kissing scene they just filmed, it was evident that Jeremy, as Cyrus, wasn’t fully engaged.
However, the Director understood the reasons why Jeremy couldn’t fully immerse himself. Anyway, Jeremy’s final performance was good, and those minor flaws were insignificant, so the Director could pretend he didn’t see them.
While they were talking, the Director turned his head towards Olivia Lewis and said, "Olivia, you’re done with your scenes for today. You can go back and rest. I’ll shoot some scenes with Lydia and Jeremy next. We’ll continue your scenes tomorrow. Your shoulder injury hasn’t healed yet, and getting too tired might slow down the progress."
"OK, I’ll change clothes and come back early tomorrow morning." Olivia knew this well too.
She calculated that the remaining scenes yet to be shot were mostly the ones with a certain degree of physical activity, which had to wait until she recovered to film. Rushing through other scenes made no sense and was better done slowly for quality.
The Director nodded, kindly advising her, "It’s alright to come later; we need to reconstruct the scene tomorrow morning anyway. I estimate we can start around ten o’clock. I’ll call you half an hour before starting, so you can head over then."
