Adam Sinclair furrowed his brows but didn’t let go.
Benjamin Sinclair was furious beyond measure and disregarded everything, saying directly, "If you insist Renee abort the child, I won’t spare that ’Olivia Lewis,’ the star! You’re my son, and I might not be able to deal with you, but I won’t show her any mercy! You better think this through!"
Renee Anderson heard Benjamin’s words, and while she felt a secret delight, she didn’t show it on her face, still appearing troubled. She softly called out to him, "Uncle Sinclair..."
"Don’t be afraid. Uncle will stand up for you!" Benjamin reassured her with a pat on her hand.
Renee gave a grateful smile, "Thank you, Uncle, I..."
Her eyes turned slightly red, as if she was too moved to speak.
Benjamin’s anger eased slightly as he sternly looked at Adam, "Let go now!"
Adam considered for a moment and released his grip but shot Renee a cold, warning look, saying, "You always believe in such poor acting. You trust your own judgment; I will prove I never touched her. I hope you won’t regret protecting her so staunchly now."
Benjamin knew he was still talking about Alexander Sinclair’s biological mother, frowning. He was dissatisfied with Adam, as a junior, meddling in his affairs, "I’m defending Renee for your sake. You’re the one going around all day with that star. I hope you won’t regret it later!"
Renee, now free, let out a sigh of relief, her palms sweaty, her legs weak. She knew very well that she had made her choice. There’s only one path forward now; otherwise, not just Adam, even Benjamin wouldn’t spare her.
She touched her belly, feeling utterly restless.
Adam would definitely do as he said, having someone keep a close eye on her. How to discreetly deal with the child then was an issue.
But there was nothing much she could do about it now.
With Benjamin around, even if Adam didn’t want to accept the child in her belly, he had no choice but to!
"I won’t regret it." Adam glanced at Renee, who felt like she had narrowly escaped a crisis, and with a touch of restrained emotion, he said, "I’ll spare her for today, but don’t touch Olivia, or I won’t spare her!"
"If you give Olivia any trouble, I’ll make sure, right in front of you, to have her taken into the operating room to abort the child!"
This was harsh and resolute enough!
Benjamin, enraged, almost couldn’t catch his breath, "You’re simply being unreasonable!"
Despite his anger, he knew his son well; Adam would do what he said. If he secretly acted against that star, this rebellious son might actually have the guts to abort his grandson.
That’s why he was so furious. He grabbed Renee’s hand, too irate to even look at Adam, and said directly to Renee, "Let’s go!"
Renee was dragged by him, stumbling as they walked towards the Hospital’s exit.
Assistant Terrence signaled the bodyguard to release the man pinned against the wall like a lump of dead meat, "Let him go."
The bodyguard released him and stepped aside.
Austin Harper had been pressed against the wall for too long, struggling with exhaustion and breathing difficulties. Once the bodyguard let go, he almost slumped down embarrassingly.
Fortunately, he managed to stand with some effort, leaning against the wall with red marks pressed onto his face. Once he steadied himself slightly, he staggered towards Adam, gritting his teeth, "Adam, Sister Renee likes you so much, and you don’t cherish it. You insist on liking some insignificant woman. One day, you’ll regret it."
