Chapter 2907: Chapter 2916: Not a Word Is Believable!
Of course, he won’t give her as many chances as Adam Sinclair did.
The hospital where he would take her for an inspection must be his territory, and he absolutely wouldn’t let her have any opportunity to bribe a doctor!
"Let’s go." He walked ahead first.
Renee Anderson’s face looked a bit pale, as if she’d been caught lying. She bit her lower lip and followed him, staring at his back.
...
Brilliant Private Hospital is a high-end hospital invested by the Lawrence Corporation, primarily serving a mid-to-high-end clientele.
The hospital building is undoubtedly the most beautiful among all hospitals in City W, and in terms of both the doctors’ qualifications and service attitude, it surpasses public hospitals by far. Moreover, internationally renowned specialists visit the hospital weekly, and it has treated many difficult cases that other hospitals couldn’t solve. So, even though the examination fees are relatively high, many people still come here to consult the experts.
This week, the hospital has a specialist in gastroenterology because, in modern times, many people suffer from gastrointestinal issues, attracting quite a crowd to the hospital.
After receiving a call from Assistant Terrence, the Hospital Director was waiting outside to greet his arrival.
As Baron’s black Bentley came to a stop, the Hospital Director immediately went forward to open the car door for him respectfully, "Hello, President Lawrence."
"Mm." Baron Lawrence got out of the car first.
He couldn’t possibly ride in the same car as Renee, so Renee got out of the back of the Land Rover driven by Assistant Terrence.
"President Lawrence, didn’t Young Madam come?" The Director looked around for a while, not seeing Enna Clark getting out of the car. He was stunned for a moment and asked in confusion.
He had received a call saying President Lawrence was bringing someone for a pregnancy checkup.
Could it be that President Lawrence didn’t bring the Young Madam?
He automatically ignored Renee’s presence.
It’s not that Renee wasn’t good-looking, but it’s well known among the Lawrence Family that being beautiful means nothing in the eyes of their President.
No beauty could compare to a single strand of Mrs. Lawrence’s hair, and they had long become accustomed to this over the years.
So, what if she’s a beautiful woman? To President Lawrence, any woman by his side wasn’t really a woman.
Assistant Terrence, seeing the Director’s puzzled expression, coughed awkwardly and hinted subtly with a glance towards Renee, softly reminding him, "The person here for a checkup today isn’t the Young Madam."
"Not the Young Madam, then who is...?" The Hospital Director was startled, looking at Renee beside him, finally giving her a serious look, eyes filled with astonishment and caution.
In that instant, Renee felt a great sense of satisfaction inside.
She knew the Director was just misunderstanding, but even so, the fact that a single sentence could make someone treat her with such caution was intoxicating.
She couldn’t imagine what it would be like to be cherished by such a man, but it must be the kind of happiness where even the stars in the sky could be fetched by him.
She glanced at the man beside her in a daze, slightly charmed by his handsome and noble aura. Yet, she could still remain rational.
She understood very well what kind of man Baron Lawrence was—definitely not someone that could be trifled with casually. Such a man, when he likes someone, he really likes, but if he doesn’t, he could just as mercilessly crush someone. Though she felt an impulse in her heart to conquer a man like him, she was well aware of her limits. Since this man already had a wife, she had basically no chance of breaking up that relationship.
