Shanghai City was best known for its gigantic scale, it was no doubt a G-cup among all cities.

After getting off the train, they went straight to the university through the subway. Guided by his future brother-in-law, Yu Luocheng was saved from the trouble of looking for seniors that awaited new students at the train station.

S.U. was situated at the Baoshan District. When they reached the university, Yu Luocheng was welcomed by a youthful and heart-throbbing scene. Camisoles, deep V’s, backless tops, hot pants, tight skirts, one-step skirts… One after another, the thin fabric danced wildly in front of Yu Luocheng’s eyes.

How does the saying go? I am willing to turn into a stone bridge, suffer from the wind blowing for 500 years; a downpour for 500 years; and exposed to the sun for 500 years; so that a pretty lady in a beautiful dress would walk above me… 1

“Tell you what. There are many pretty girls here at Shanghai University, let me introduce some good-looking seniors to you when we have the opportunity. I guarantee you will not be disappointed. The few of them will not be able to stop talking about a handsome newcomer like you,” Yang Ying tapped Yu Luocheng’s shoulder and said candidly.

“Cool. I am looking forward to getting to know more beautiful girls too.” Yu Luocheng’s eyes shone with anticipation.

Yang Ying’s face changed immediately as he said, “I am just saying that for fun. Wait a minute… Are you planning to cheat on my sister?”

Yu Luocheng was speechless. ‘This b*stard is setting up a trap for me to jump into!’

“I am just saying that for fun too,” Yu Luocheng defended himself calmly.

“Sigh. Don’t be so serious. My sister is not around here in Shanghai., she wouldn’t know what you are up to,” Yang Ying’s serious face relaxed instantly as he laughed out loud while grabbing onto Yu Luocheng’s shoulder.

Yu Luocheng’s face turned grim. ‘This b*stard is as cunning as Littlefinger in Game of Thrones 1 .’

Electronic and Information Engineering.

Alright, through the name alone, you could easily guess that this was a place where only a bunch of male losers or creepy perverts would gather.

Yang Ying told Yu Luocheng directly that this course was heavily “undersupplied”, meaning, it was one of the few unique courses in Shanghai University that were dominated by single males.

“A rabbit doesn’t foul its own hole. Ambitious men would always aim for girls from other courses. You don’t need to feel dejected,” Yang Ying comforted Yu Luocheng.

“I am here to pursue knowledge, this kind of thing does not bother me,” Yu Luocheng declared.

Yang Ying who was walking in front of him stopped abruptly and turned back toward him with rounded eyes.

‘Such a shameless guy. If so, take your eyes away from those scantily dressed girls!’

***

Yang Ying was a typical rebel. Instead of bringing Yu Luocheng for his registration, he first led him to visit his E-Sports Club.

In the past, the E-Sports Club at Shanghai University had been at the bottom of the pecking order. It received little to no attention from the university as well as the students.

But ever since LoL was launched and the E-Sports Club members had achieved the top ten placement in the National College Competition, the E-Sports Club had begun to turn more eyes, and Yang Ying as the club president naturally gained the fame and respect he yearned for.

The most awesome part about this club was that it had its own E-Sports hub.

The E-Sports hub was none other than a computer room. This computer room was first set up for the students’ convenience after class, but due to some unknown reason, the E-Sports Club had managed to claim it for their own use. They decorated it with trendy posters as well as eye-catching lightings which suited their own taste.

Inside the hub, there was a small stage and fifty high spec computers specialized for LoL gaming. According to Yang Ying, all they lacked now was a LoL competition server.

The game server is fairly important. Nowadays, players are scattered all around different regions under different data providers (Telecom and Netcom). It becomes increasingly difficult to match up with real-life players from another region because level, masteries, runes, and champions can’t be transferred across different regions.

With the server, players could be matched up much easier, regardless of which region you are at.

“Most of our accounts are placed in Telecom 1 Ionia Region. We have accounts in some other regions too and some are shared accounts which can be used freely by E-Sport Club members. This enables players from different regions to exchange skills and experience,” Yang Ying explained.

“How many members are there again?” Yu Luocheng asked.

“I think around 500, more or less, though core members and committee members are only around thirty people. Members from the club can walk in freely and use the computers here without charge,” Yang Ying said while walking toward the thirty computers placed at the back of the room.

Fifty-six computers were lined up neatly in the room. Thirty of them were opened to all members, so in other words, the hub served as a free cyber café for all members of the club.

The remaining twenty-six computers were private computers and were available only to the thirty core members mentioned by Yang Ying. Most of the time, they would assemble here whenever they were free.

The front-most eleven computers out of the twenty six were of competition-grade specs.

One of the eleven computers was connected to a projector. Onlookers would be able to spectate the game through the Observer Mode by using this computer, so this basically resembled a miniature competition stage.

To be able to own such an exclusive space equipped with all the high spec equipment just for themselves was really rare for a university E-Sports Club. It appeared that Yang Ying was not bragging after all.

“In our club, almost 75% of the members are playing LoL while the rest are also elites in other games,” Yang Ying told Yu Luocheng.

“Are there many strong players in the club?” Yu Luocheng continued to ask.

“That’s for sure. Ten of us have league points above 2000. Some of them are very good too but lack the time to gain points. Also, even though I am the president of E-Sports Club, I am not the best player here,” Yang Ying clarified.

“Oh, there is someone better than you?” Yu Luocheng’s curiosity was piqued.

Yang Ying’s skill was acknowledgeable and Yu Luocheng regarded him to be at least on par with a semi-professional player.

If someone was better than him, then his or her skills were definitely comparable to a professional player. This person must be a true LoL powerhouse.

“He’s not here right now. Don’t worry, you’ll certainly have the opportunity to know and play with him. Moreover, our club is about to get another player better than me!” Yang Ying said in high spirits.

“You mean…?” Yu Luocheng let his question trail off.

“Oh. What I meant is that for sure some of the new recruits are going to play better than me. We can only know for sure when they play their first game here,” Yang Ying responded allusively.

Yu Luocheng rolled his eyes inwardly. ‘Damn you. Is it so hard for you to just admit that I am the one who is better than you?’

Yang Ying guided Yu Luocheng to the registration venue after they had finished their little tour around the E-Sports hub. Rather than following Yu Luocheng to the registration, he passed him over to a female senior from Electronic and Information Engineering.

The senior, who coincidentally had a nice figure, was wearing a student top paired with a short skirt, and she kindly welcomed Yu Luocheng. Yu Luocheng, in return, asked for her phone number politely before she left.

‘It’s a basic courtesy to treat my senior to a meal or even a movie after she has helped me out.’

After everything had been done, Yu Luocheng felt good about his first day at the university. After having his lunch at the canteen, he decided to take a nap in his hostel, where he dreamed that he had become a stone bridge.

When he woke up, he cursed the person who had invented safety shorts.

‘Skirts with safety shorts are not considered skirts!’
