Chapter 267: Too Much for a Coincidence
Chapter 267: Too Much for a Coincidence
The night was once again enveloped in silence as everyone drifted off to sleep. Xin Cheng was sitting in one of the corners of the pavilion with his gaze fixed on Xiang Ling who was deep asleep while protectively wrapped in Wei Guang and Zhang Xuan’s arms.
Instead of returning to their rooms, everyone just ended up sleeping in the pavilion. The spell that Xiang Ling cast during the game, was keeping the place warm and away from chilling cold that was surrounding the rest of the Chen Manor.
While everyone was fast asleep, including Dao Ming, Xin Cheng was the only one who was struggling to even close his eyes. The moment he closed them, he found himself recalling all the scenes where he watched Xiang Ling being pleasured by the other four.
He regretted staying there and not leaving the moment he realized where the things were heading. But more than that, he regretted lowering his walls in the first place. Ever since that night when he allowed the woman to step over his high walls and spent time together, he ended up losing. Because from that very night, he had been failing to raise those walls again.
Only he knew how jealous he was when he watched the others touching her the way he wanted to touch her, pleasuring her the way he wanted to pleasure, and taking care of her the way he wanted to take care. He was beyond jealous. Every single cell in his body was protesting and so was his heart. The only thing that kept him in check was his head and the knowledge of what might happen if he crossed this last line.
He shifted slightly to get a more comfortable position, but it turned out to be wrong move as it resulted in his trousers rubbing against a certain part of his lower body that was beyond angry at this point. Despite the layers of clothing he had on his body, anyone could see his standing hardness that was punishing him for not giving his body what it wanted.
His gaze once again shifted to the sleeping form of Xiang Ling, and all he wanted was to take her away from there and show her for the remaining of the night just how well he could make her moan and scream in pleasure.
He closed his eyes and shook his head to get rid of those thoughts. Never in his Immortal life of forty-three thousand years did he felt this affected by anyone or anything.
Knowing fully well that staying in the pavilion would only worsen his situation, he stood up while suppressing his groan. He walked out of the pavilion and immediately teleported away, heading to the Demon Realm for the night.

The Underground Slave Market ~
Huang Jun was once again submerged in his work inside his study when a figure materialized in the room and immediately kneeled on one knee to greet him.
"My Lord, the array in the Enchanted Forest-"
"Has been destroyed." Huang Jun spoke before the other man could finish speaking. He kept his gaze fixed on the account book he was checking and market a few places while adding, "You also lost the disciples of the Jingsheng Academy and the Seventh Prince. Do you know how much planning and hardwork it took on our part to make this plan come to action? Yet, you are coming to me with the news of our failure. How am I supposed to answer the Master?"
Despite the words he spoke, Huang Jun’s voice was calm and collected without any hint of anger in it. Yet, the kneeling man’s hands had already started shivering in fear.
"M-my Lord, it was Chen Xiang Ling and her people who interfered." He quickly explained the reason of the last-minute failure of their plan.
Huang Jun’s hand stopped on its way to mark another set of numbers on the page and he finally raised his gaze to look at the kneeling man. "Did you say, it was Young Lady Chen again?"
"Yes, My Lord. She was flying over the forest with a group of people when they somehow ended up in the forest. She then activated the array and found the disciples. We left from there after that, but our resources said that the group headed to Dongzhi City after that. And they have also destroyed the array." The man quickly presented all the information he had.
Huang Jun remained silent and there was a little frown decorating his face. It was quite hard to predict what he was thinking about. After a couple of minutes of silence, he finally asked, "Why was she suddenly flying over the Enchanted Forest?"
"She went to the Capital City for business. It seems like she was on her way back to Dongzhi City when she ended up in the forest." The other man quickly answered.
Huang Jun immediately shook his head as if he didn’t find the reason acceptable. "Every time it seems like she just ended up stumbling across our set-up by mere coincidence. But how is it even possible that every time we try to create trouble in the Mortal Realm, she’s always there to destroy our plans? This is too much for just a mere coincidence."
"But My Lord, she’s a mere mortal with some cultivation powers. How can she be involved in all this if her appearances aren’t coincidental?" The man asked.
Huang Jun shook his head as he had no answer to that question. "That’s exactly what we need to find out."
"My Lord, do you want me to..."
"Don’t!" Huang Jun was quick to dismiss the thought of killing Chen Xiang Ling. "Master has given strict instructions to not take any action against Young Lady Chen. Inform all our about the same. Ask our men to keep an eye on her, but don’t take any actions."
"Noted, My Lord." The man accepted the order and bowed again before his silhouette disappeared from the study.
