Chapter 254: Tranquil Cloud Inn
"Right. It’s already noon. We need to get moving." Xin Cheng added as he had started getting homesick.
"Where are you all going?" Wu Ding asked and his question was mostly aimed at his brother.
"We all are heading to Dongzhi City. Since your sister-in-law is good friends with Lady Chen, we decided to have a trip to Lady Chen’s hometown." Wu Tian answered while sneaking a quick look in Xiang Ling’s direction who was staring back at him with her judging eyes. He knew that the lady didn’t believe in his story the slightest bit.
"Dongzhi City? Then can we come along?" Wu Ding asked excitedly.
"Why do you want to go there?" Wu Tian asked while looking at his brother with his eyebrows arched high in question.
"We have been hearing about a Tranquil Cloud Inn that has opened near Dongzhi City. Everyone is talking about that place, praising it for its food, services, tranquility, beauty, and what not. Since we are already in Nanxia County, we should take this chance to visit the popular Inn." Wu Ding revealed the reason behind his excitement for visiting Dongzhi City.
"There’s an Inn like that?" Wu Tian asked while turning his attention toward Xiang Ling who was quite taken aback to suddenly find the Seventh Prince talking about her Inn.
Clearing her throat, Xiang Ling nodded her head in positive and turned her attention toward her husbands.
"Why don’t we all head to this Inn then? I will love to take a look at such a popular place." Su LiangLin looked interested in the Tranquil Cloud Inn when she heard the Seventh Prince mentioning it.
Everyone agreed with the idea and in no time, several flying swords were making their way into the sky as their group headed toward the location of Tranquil Cloud Inn. They left the Enchanted Forest behind and traveled across long fields, villages, towns, small cities, rivers, and wilderness.
By the time they made it to the Tranquil Cloud Inn, it was already past sunset. The outside world had started turning dark but the grand Inn was illuminated with brightness that was coming from hundreds of lanterns that were hanging all around the place.
"What a view!"
Su LiangLin whispered in awe as they all appeared in clear sight and landed in front of the Inn’s entrance. Seeing a group of cultivators suddenly appearing in front of the Inn, the guards were immediately there to protect the Inn.
"Who are you? What do you want?" The chief of the guards asked as he pointed his seated sword at the Crown Prince and Su LiangLin who were standing at front of the group.
"They are my guests." Xiang Ling announced from the back of the group, making the disciples part their way as she made her way to the front along with her husbands.
As soon as she came to stand at the front, all the guards of the Inn immediately recognized her and the three Young Masters standing behind her. They all bowed their heads with their hands clasped in front as they officially greeted her - "Welcome back, Master."
Xiang Ling gave a little nod of her head before she stepped forward. The guards immediately stepped aside to give her way. Left stunned by what they just witnessed, it took a while for the Crown Prince and others to get a grip on what was happening.
"Master? Is she-?"
Wu Tian turned his questioning gaze at Su LiangLin but the woman had no idea whether the Inn belonged to Xiang Ling or someone else. She just shrugged her shoulders before rushing after Xiang Ling to ctach up with the woman.
"Sister Chen is indeed amazing. Turned out she’s the powerful owner behind this place." Wu Ding couldn’t help but praise as he too rushed inside the Inn, followed by the rest of the disciples.
All the servants greeted Xiang Ling and the three Young Masters when they noticed the four of them making their way inside the Inn. It had been nearly five weeks since they last saw their master and they all felt exceptionally happy to see her again.
"My Lady, you are finally back." An Xi greeted Xiang Ling when the girl noticed Xiang Ling entering the buzzing hall of the Main Inn with a group of people.
"An Xi, these are my friends. Prepare a private room for the disciples of Jingsheng Academy, and another one for my Young Master Wu, his wife, and younger brother. Make sure they have a good time here." Xiang Ling give directions to the girl who nodded her head in understanding and signaled two servants to show the group to their respective private rooms.
"You are joining us, right?" Su LiangLin asked while looking at Xiang Ling. But before the latter could have replied, everyone’s attention was pulled toward the man on the first floor who shouted Xiang Ling’s name in shock.
When Xiang Ling turned her head to look at the source of the voice, she found the man descending the stairs in a hurry as he made his way toward her. She was expecting a warm hug, even that was too much to expect considering they were in front of so many people. Yet, the man took her breath away when he not only pulled her into his arms but went as far as to smash his lips against hers in a deep, passionate, and hungry kiss.
