In one of the guest courtyards of Chen Manor, Zhang Xuan was busy fixing his long silky hair in a high bun. After struggling for a moment or two, he finally secured it with a beautiful golden hairpin.
A sigh of contentment left his lips as he looked at his reflection in the mirror. He looked so much better in a wedding robe than he expected. He was indeed way too handsome to not look good in whatever he wore. His emerald eyes sparkled with satisfaction at what they were seeing. He was confident that his appearance would take away his bride’s breath the moment she would see him.
While his eyes were busy appreciating his beauty, his ears were busy listening to the heart-melting conversation that was taking place in the courtyard next to his. He didn’t mean to pry, but the moment he sensed someone using their powers to place a protective shield within the manor, he got intrigued. Little did he knew that his curiosity would lead him to hear his soon-to-be bride’s worries.
A smile made its way to his lips when he heard her husbands melting to her one by one. But the smile soon turned to a frown when he realized that two very stubborn men were still trying to act stupid.
"Tsk tsk... looks like the Demon Emperor and the Spirit Beast King needs a little bit of more drama to accept their feelings. Never mind, I’m more than happy to provide my help." He spoke to himself as the smile returned to his lips once again.

In the tranquil Main Hall of the Chen Manor, people were filled with anticipation as the announcement of the arrival of auspicious hour was made. Wedding melodies filled the air as the bridal sedan arrived at the entrance of the Main Hall where Zhang Xuan was waiting.
Dressed in golden embroidered red silk robe, he looked so elegant and powerful, as well as insanely handsome. He carried a strong aura around him that pulled people’s attention toward him without him needing to do anything.
He stepped forward to receive his bride as she stepped out of the bridal sedan. She was dressed in dark green silk hanfu with a beautiful red silk outer robe covered in beautiful and intricate golden embroidery. A veil was hiding her beautiful face and her hair that was styled in elaborate updo, adorned with a beautiful set of golden hairpins with red and green jewels in them.
Xiang Ling accepted Zhang Xuan’s offered hand and the two of them made their way inside the Main Hall. All the servants, students, and family members were already present inside the Main Hall to witness the harmonious moment.
The ceremony began with the melodious tunes of music, setting a serene ambiance. Xiang Ling and Zhang Xuan knelt before the ancestral tablets of Chen family, paying homage to their ancestors and seeking their blessings for a harmonious union.
Officiant: (intoning solemnly) "In the presence of their ancestors and loved ones, we gather to witness the union of Xiang Ling and Zhang Xuan. May their love be as enduring as the mountains and as deep as the ocean."
Xiang Ling almost felt nervous as she heard the words. In her entire life of then thousand years, this was the first time she was getting married, and the realization started dawning on her as she and Zhang Xuan moved to complete the bowing rituals.
With each bow to Heaven and Earth, to parents, and then finally to each other, she realized that it was not the Chen Xiang Ling who was getting married at that moment, but her - the Supreme Immortal Xing of Celestial Realm.
With the exchange of bows completed, Xiang Ling and Zhang Xuan rose. Their hands were bound together with a red silk cord which symbolized their unity and commitment.
Officiant: "By the power vested in me and the blessings of our ancestors, I now pronounce you husband and wife. The ceremony comes to an end."
Cheers filled the Main Hall as everyone clapped to celebrate the union. There were smiles on everyone’s faces as they enjoyed the beautiful moment. Even Wei Guang, Li Xian, and Zhe Yuan carried soft looks on their faces as they joined the celebration. However, the same couldn’t be said about Xin Cheng and Dao Ming. The two of them came to attend the wedding ceremony was already a great deal on their part.
Once the wedding ceremony ended, Xiang Ling and Zhang Xuan performed the Dragon and Phoenix Candle Ceremony. The two of them lighted candles shaped like Dragons and phoenixes to symbolize harmony and unity. Then it was finally time for Feast and Celebration.
While Zhang Xuan joined everyone for drinks, Xiang Ling was taken to her bed-chamber which was decorated for the occasion.
"My Lady, have some light dinner while Young Master Zhang is busy entertaining others in the Main Hall." Fu Xiao said as she helped Xiang Ling in taking off the veil and then handed her a plate full of crispy fried potatoes.
Xiang Ling didn’t waste any time as she started stuffing her stomach with food. It was already late afternoon and she hadn’t eaten anything since the previous night. Once she finished eating, Fu Xiao helped her in tidy up before she once again placed the veil on her head.
"Let me go and see how long will it take for Young Master Zhang to arrive here." The young woman said before she quickly left the bed-chamber to see the ongoing feast in the Main Hall.
Around fifteen minutes later, she returned to the bed-chamber. "My Lady. Young Master Zhang is here."
For some stupid reason, Xiang Ling’s heart started beating wildly as soon as she heard those words. The veil was made of a light material that was transparent enough for her to catch glimpses of whatever was going on in the chamber.
She watched as Zhang Xuan entered the room and Fu Xiao left while closing the door behind her.
