Journey of the Fate Destroying Emperor

Chapter 1888: The Highest Firmament Battle VII

"Here is your share," the Duchess said, handing Wang Wei the sealed imprint.

"Thanks," Avatar A said with a smile. With this imprint, he might be able to access the [Hall of Records]. Of course, the most important thing is that he now has another key for his perfect [Otherworldly Foundation]. Although it wasn't a part of the primary Grand Constructs, it was still valuable.

"Can you give me the data on the Anti-Dao Matter?" Wang Wei asked.

"Sure, but it's probably useless."

"Why do you say that?"

"It's been proven that Anti-Dao Matter cannot be fabricated in the Primordial Timeline, or even most other timelines," the Duchess explained. "And honestly speaking, this thing is nothing but danger with no reward. I plan to hand it over to Grand Dao in exchange for something more valuable."

"Hm? Why?"

"All the tales I've read about people who hold Anti-Dao Matters or even knowledge about it end in two ways: they either hand it over or die a tragic death."

"Grand Dao killed them?"

"Not directly," the duchess shook his head. "However, their fates are always tragic."

"Is that so?"

"Do you still want it?"

"Of course." Whether he has the knowledge or not, his relationship with Grand Dao is already beyond repair. So, why would Wang Wei give up any opportunity that would give him an advantage?

"Well, it's your choice," the duchess shrugged. With one thought, she activated an array to scan the cube and record everything. "What do you think of his proposal?"

"Do it," Wang Wei replied without hesitation. "We only need to buy ourselves time. The outcome of the battle does not affect us as much as it does everybody. Not to mention, we are not the protagonists in this event."

"I understand."

The duchess agreed to the Trinity Venerable's temporary alliance, which once again tilted the battle toward a balance as the court lost its numerical advantage. However, both sides knew this balance could not last long, especially with the dispersed authority tempting everybody with more skill than a demoness.

Each side began discussing how to solve the issue. The court expected Lady Suiji to do something by now, but she remains aloof. As such, they can only rely on themselves. They decided to use a secret technique once again to end this battle as soon as possible. Meanwhile, the Trinity Venerable chose to gather more allies: he contacted the Primordial Heaven Sword Saint, trying to bring him to their side.

Death Beam Dimension:

"So, they have all shown up in using unique avatars?" Death Reverence thought, his gaze fixed on all the expeditioners. "Well, it doesn't matter since my original target was never you. Your death will be time itself or the Longevity Realm."

Death Reverence snapped his finger, and another colossal change occurred between Heaven and Earth. First, the exit to the Highest Firmament was blocked. Things could enter, but nothing — not even a grain of sand — could exit.

The projection of the Six Paths Samsara manifested, and before anyone could wonder what was happening, more than three-quarters of it collapsed into the purest essence of [Death], then rapidly fused with the Death Beam. The destruction of the underworld — of the afterlife — should have been a major incident, but with so much happening in this timeline, this was a minor issue. Even in terms of damage to the universe, the collapse had little to no effect, as all the rules had already been overwhelmed by [Death] itself.

However, what occurred next was significant — it could be said to be a defining moment in Timeline NP89076H. A terrifying aura spread to every corner of the universe, and everyone recognized that aura even if they didn't want to: Future Reverence. Without wasting a second, the False Grand Dao Saint directly teleported to the 27th Heaven. Then, with a casual wave of his hand, he instantly annihilated all the expeditioners' clones/avatars.

Future Reverence turned to the Infinite Divine Court's Lords; he raised his hand to surround them with a dark bubble. These Tribunal Lords resisted with all their might, but it was to no avail. With a casual clench, Future Reverence exiled them from the mortal coil. Or, he should have.

"You're finally willing to show up."

A portal appeared in the middle of the dimension, and Suiji — dressed in all white — slowly walked out. She sighed deeply. After swallowing a significant portion of the Six Paths Samsara, a decent portion of her injuries and strength were restored, which was barely enough to contend with this monster. And since she had the strength, she couldn't allow all of them to die. More importantly, Suiji couldn't allow these people to fully control Grand Dao's Consciousness, or there would be no chance for.

"You look confident. I wonder why?" Future Reverence smiled.

Suiji did not answer him; she did not even look at him. Instead, she turned to glance at the black bubble. With a flick of her wrist, the Heavenly Wolf Khan and the others flew out, encased in a golden shield, and into the still-open portal. "Stay in the formation and wait until I return."

Future Reverence did not stop her. These people are destined to die — either of old age or in the Longevity Realm. Instead, he used this opportunity to gather a few of the scattered golden lights, thereby increasing his side's authority.

Suiji frowned, "You two come and help me, and I will directly hand over 10% of my authority to you."

"Make it 15%, and we have a deal."

"Fine." Suiji did not hesitate and separated 15% of the 20% she controls. Two people broke into this dimension, and she handed the control over to them.

"What an interesting person," Siwangji commented as she separated 7% to hand to her sister.

"Why do I get the smaller portion?" Shenghuovi asked.

"I came to rescue you; I help you recuperate your strength, and I'm the older one."

"You! Fine!"

"That's the source of your confidence? I must say, I'm disappointed." Future Reverence shook his head. However, despite his words, he had already raised his guard to the highest level. These two Chaos Demon Gods might currently be weak, but based on his analysis, when they were at their peak, their strength was the same as theirs, and maybe even the third step.

"Very well," Future Reverence smiled. "Since all the players are here, let's make this battle private." With a snap of his fingers, everybody secretly watching the battle lost contact; the Highest Firmament was officially cut off to outsiders.

Lesser Heaven and Earth Origin Cycle Array, Headquarters:

Wang Wei frowned. As soon as the Tribunal Lords were instantly annihilated, the Duchess's projection dissipated. He's been waiting for a few seconds, but she hasn't appeared. He then focused on what was happening and was slightly surprised by the appearance of Siwangji and Shenghuovi.

"Can the three of them defeat Future Reverence? The intensity of the situation will drastically decrease if they can," he thought. Unfortunately, he soon lost access to live viewing of this fight, leaving an air of uncertainty that made Wang Wei uncomfortable. The good news is that the Erudite Duchess's projection appeared a few seconds later.

"What happened?"

"That attack further reduced my lifespan," she explained.

"How much do you have left?"

"Less than 3 yuan epoch."

Wang Wei frowned, "Can you finish copying the Enlightenment Artifact?"

The Erudite Duchess did not answer, and Wang Wei understood her meaning. She could, but there won't be enough time for them to create and cultivate Wang Wei's plan.

"Don't worry about that. Use this for now," Wang Wei said, handing her the newest copy of the [Deceiving Heaven Longevity Art]. Now was the perfect time to cultivate this technique, since both Death Reverence and Future Reverence had their priorities elsewhere.

"This!" the Duchess murmured. After a quick scan, she realized this technique was enough to expand her lifespan by 10 to 15 Yuan Epoch. With their previous life-extending plan in place, there should be plenty of time to ascend to the False Grand Dao Realm.

"I won't say thank you, but know that if you ever need anything, just send a talisman and I will do my best to help you."

"I'll keep those words in mind," Wang Wei nodded.

The duchess closed her eyes to send the information to her main body. However, she suddenly opened her eyes, frowning.

"What is it?"

"Trinity Venerable just contacted me. He wants to work together to create a solution to their current longevity issue."

"Did you reject him?" Wang Wei asked.

"I did, but he's bringing up the contract."

"Don't you have any methods to disperse the contract?"

"Only the purest Dark Karma Water can erase our level of contract, and it's not something I have in my possession."

"Can the Karma Root Monarch condense some?" Wang Wei inquired.

"She can, but the time required is so long that it's not worth it. However, with her Dao, it's easier for her to discover already existing water. And even if she had some, she wouldn't hand it to me."

"True," Wang Wei nodded. "So, what are you going to do?"
