Journey of the Fate Destroying Emperor

Chapter 1879: Foreign Qi

Chapter 1879: Foreign Qi

Now that he couldn't rely on foreign aid, he needed another approach to ensure this experiment's success. Otherwise, he might not meet the required standard even after more than a million attempts. "The best choice is something that could increase our computing power, but I have already reached the limit that my soul can bear, and non-soul binding methods are not reliable.

"The second-best option would be to elicit the aid of the Source Qi Cardinal or any expert with immense Qi knowledge. Wait, Qi? Damn it, how can I be so stupid? Ai, I know how we can proceed."

"I'm all ears, sir."

"Use my Qi Spirit Flower Ability to create an energy as close as possible to the one we want. Then, we will use it as the foundation to gather more data."

"But, sir, your divine ability is a product of this Chaos Universe. If you try this method, it might have an adverse effect."

"We can take a page from Grand Dao's book," Wang Wei explained. "First, create numerous Genesis Lifeforms with unique innate powers and abilities. With a bit of manipulation, one of them should develop an ability similar to my Qi Flower. Then, we just need to push things behind the scenes for that creature to create the energy we want."

"Sir, let me calculate…This plan is feasible."

"Very well. Let's begin Experiment #1876."

The team rebuilt the world, but this time, they did not restart everything after failing to meet their requirements. On the contrary, they allowed this universe to evolve life; the Genesis Lifeforms were these humongous, ugly creatures whose physical appearances were the combination of many animals and races from Wang Wei's mind. However, their physical appearance was not what Wang Wei cared about. Instead, it was the fact that they were all born with immense authority directly from the source code of reality.

"I wonder whether my universe has a version of [Observer] and what would happen if the latter transcends the universe's limitation?" Wang Wei thought as he watched this new race slowly explore the cosmos and develop their own civilization.

"They would need to become Primordial Chaos Saints to escape," Wang Wei analyzed. "Now, I can say for sure that the minimum requirement to survive in Hongmeng is the Primordial Chaos Saint Realm. More importantly, the weakest Chaos Universe out there has the same strength as my current main body." Without sufficient power, a Chaos Universe cannot survive in [Hongmeng], let alone give birth to a Saint capable of surviving that dangerous environment.

Wang Wei reigned in his mind, focusing on the task at hand. "Ai."

"Yes, sir."

"Keep your eyes on these creatures. The last thing we need is someone who has escaped our grasp."

"I will put a limiter on their potential."

"That's not enough. Still keep an eye on everybody," Wang Wei added.

"As you wish."

The plan continued. With a bit of behind-the-scenes planning, one of these creatures — oddly enough, one with a humanoid shape, though he had three faces and six arms — was finally born with an ability similar to Wang Wei's.

"I'll call you Ei."

"Sir, did you just remove one letter from your own name to name someone else?"

"Mind your own business," Wang Wei waved.

The banter of these two would not stop what fate had already started in motion. One day, while traveling the cosmos, Ei discovered a planet of weak Acquired Lifeform. A sudden pity welled up in his heart upon seeing these pitiful creatures desperately trying to survive the harsh environment. Ei chose to help them and soon became the Guardian Deity of the race that called itself human.

However, the humans' short lifespans and the fact that Ei does not want to stay long in this place soon became an issue. After contemplating for a while, this compassionate Genesis Creature tried to share his power with these humans, but he failed; the bodies and souls of Acquired Creatures were incompatible with Innate Creatures, and his attempt only harmed them. Ei then tried to create a cultivation system for them, but the humans were simply unable to absorb or utilize the cosmic energy in the environment.

Ei was about to despair when a sudden idea popped into his mind: create a unique energy for these humans. His Innate Talent was perfectly suited for such an endeavor, so he did not hesitate. Years passed, and generation after generation of humans was born and died, but Ei — their guardian — remained the only constant in this weak civilization's existence.

"He's finally succeeded?" Wang Wei thought as he glanced at this giant creature celebrating, an act which almost destroyed the planet these humans were living on. "Alright, Ai, let's continue." Before Ei or any other creature could react, the universe ushered in its destruction. A few creatures tried to resist, but Ai cruelly annihilated them.

With the data at hand, Wang Wei's experiment progressed dramatically. Then, on the 8076th attempt, a brand new Qi was finally born. Wang Wei looked up at the blue energy spreading between Heaven and Earth, and he uttered, "Is this magic power? No, a better name should be mana."

"Yes, we have succeeded, sir, congratulations." Ai nodded. "But, what's next? What's the end goal?"

"Next? We need to develop a magical civilization, especially the system of Necromancers. Then, we will proceed with Anti-Magic."

Lesser Heaven and Earth Origin Cycle Array, Headquarters:

Avatar A teleported into the room and immediately accessed everything that had occurred since his other avatar had begun fighting Dugu Baitian. As he watched Death Reverence forcefully alter all the rules of this timeline, Wang Wei frowned, "Such brilliant yet forceful use of Order-Disorder. I'm glad I had Ai's help for Project Order."

His focus then shifted to the battle between the expedition and the Infinite Divine Court. Things were approaching a conclusion. With the desperate use of secret techniques, the court was very close to capturing the Karma Root Monarch. However, Wang Wei was convinced Death Reverence would not allow this outcome, so he waited to see what would happen.

"Hmm?" Wang Wei suddenly sensed something. The Primordial Heaven Sword Saint suddenly raised his hand, and a terrifying Qi Luck Dragon suddenly flew out of the Black Tortoise Array. "Is that the Sword Destiny of the Sword League Path? Could it be?" He did a quick calculation on his finger, letting out a deep sigh. The Seven Strike Sword God — one of the pillars of the Sword League — was dead; the worst part is that most of their faction's destiny and luck were taken away.

"Well, maybe it's a good thing Yan Hai went back on her word," Wang Wei thought. While this statement contained both truth and a heavy bias, Wang Wei knew things were not that simple. Now that the Sword League Path has lost such tremendous fortune, they will value the Ultimate Path Destiny even more. As such, the battle between the two sides will intensify as soon as the Slaughter Sword God returns home.

"Should I use this opportunity to eliminate him?" Wang Wei pondered. "Forget it: I don't want to get involved in this Dao Battle between Sword Dao and other Weapon Daos. I have enough problems as it is."

Reigning in his mind, he focused on what was going to happen next. After absorbing the Qi Luck Dragon, the Primordial Heaven Sword Saint didn't change much. However, his broken sword had repaired many of its cracks. And after resonating with his weapon, the Sword Saint's aura increased drastically, and upon reaching its peak, he swung his sword twice.

The first attack targeted the Heavenly Wolf Khan. And as the Khan watched a bright, half-moon-shaped sword slash rush toward him, his years of experience told him that he could not survive such an attack. So, without hesitation, he summoned his companions to combine their strength to block the slash.

The second attack headed directly to the Death Beam. Death Reverence — who was hiding in a separate dimension — was forced to exit it and used one of his trump cards to stop the attack. He had just used extreme measures to stabilize the situation, so the last thing he wanted was for these ants to ruin all his efforts.

Taking this opportunity, the Trinity Venerable caught the Karma Root Monarch and rushed back to his formation, with his two allies following him. After gritting their teeth, the Lords of the Infinite Divine Court had no choice but to return to their headquarters as well. They had suffered a terrible defeat; not only did they lose their prince, but Suiji was nowhere to be found, and they also failed to capture the only person they might be able to use to search for their prince.

Avatar A watched everything with a deep frown. The expeditioner's success was not necessarily good news for him. However, his main concern was Death Reverence. After the latter successfully stopped the attack, he wore a dangerous look. Wang Wei was familiar with that look: it was the same look he had when he was enraged, but he forced himself to remain cold and calculating — it was his cold fury state.

"Things are about to escalate," he thought. He swiftly flickered his hand to send the message back to his main body. Although he didn't know what Death Reverence's next move would be, something tells me the endgame of the entire event was nearing.
