Chapter 546 - 575: The Easiest Afternoon (Part 2)

Chapter 546: Chapter 575: The Easiest Afternoon (Part 2)

"Gu Chen?" Lin Xi said in surprise.

Yes, this boy is Gu Xiaoxian’s younger brother. He came here last time and underwent a cleansing.

He was taught a set of fist skills, so technically, he doesn’t need any more lessons in the short term!

The same goes for Peng Bo and the other two; they don’t need much supervision for now, they just need to practice their punches daily.

When Gu Chen saw Lin Xi, a hint of excitement appeared on his lean face, "Brother-in-law!"

"How long have you been here?" Lin Xi asked.

Gu Chen scratched his head, "I just arrived."

Peng Bo and the other two greeted Gu Chen as well, then opened the door to the dorm.

Once the five of them entered the dorm, Lin Xi noticed that Gu Chen’s strength had skyrocketed!

If he used to be just a capable high schooler, now his abilities far surpass those of the average martial cop, though there’s still some gap to being a special ops soldier.

The reason Gu Chen came to school to find him this time was to thank him.

At school, Gu Chen isn’t entirely clueless. Being somewhat of a school bully, he naturally hears lots of gossip from other students.

When he heard about what happened at the market, he was furious, though, thankfully, his brother-in-law was there.

Otherwise, who knows what would have happened to his mom and sister!

For Lin Xi, this matter hardly needed thanking; it was simply the right thing to do.

Gu Chen didn’t stay long; he left the dorm since he had classes in the afternoon.

After lunch break, Lin Xi and the other three returned to the field to start the afternoon’s military training.

Just as they were about to begin, Yang Feifei announced that they’d be reviewing what they’d previously learned this afternoon.

She also informed everyone this would be the final training session, and once the school leadership evaluates them tomorrow, the military training would officially end!

Upon hearing this, everyone was initially thrilled. This hellish military training was finally over, they were finally free, ready to embrace a wonderful college life full of happiness!

However, soon everyone felt a bit reluctant. Although Yang Feifei had been tough on them, they’d grown fond of her, especially after the Cloud Vein Mountain incident, leaving them with no resentment toward her.

"Also, congrats to everyone; your college life officially begins tomorrow!" Yang Feifei finished her sentence and seemed to recall something, "By the way, after the leaders finish their evaluations tomorrow, don’t disperse immediately!"

"We’ll find a restaurant outside to have a meal together as a farewell!"

Everyone cheered with joy upon hearing there’d be food, although more than anything, they felt reluctant.

The training then officially began.

However, unlike before, since this was a review of what’s been learned, there were no new materials, and Yang Feifei had been exceptionally strict when teaching; almost everyone had mastered 90% or more.

With Yang Feifei no longer making it difficult for them, the students from both classes found this day to be the most relaxing in the past ten-plus days.

After the training ended at 5:30, Lin Xi declined Peng Bo and the other two’s invitation for dinner and went home with Gu Xiaoxian.

Gu Xiaoxian had received a message from her mom, inviting Lin Xi over for dinner, mainly to express gratitude to Lin Xi.

After all, they now had a safe place to live, and such a great house at that.

Even though Lin Xi was supposed to receive rent, Gu Lan actually understood Lin Xi probably wouldn’t take it.

Under Peng Bo and the other two’s forlorn gazes, Lin Xi went back with Gu Xiaoxian.
