Chapter 111: Finally Opened Eyes
Chapter 111: Chapter 111: Finally Opened Eyes
Yang Bo had never been inside Iron Bull’s cave before. Sneaking in now, he found it to be quite spacious, reaching a depth of about a hundred meters. Iron Bull was cornered in one spot by a Mutant wearing a green Biological Mecha, which stood only five or six meters tall.
Although Iron Bull’s single horn continuously fired streaks of Energy Radiance, the Biological Mecha was completely unaffected. Instead, the Mutant held a large Bone Hammer that exuded a faint black glow!
"Good stuff!" Yang Bo muttered. Now, whenever he saw anything that glowed—whether it was Energy Metal or an Energy Stone—he knew it was a treasure.
Every time Iron Bull charged, the user of the Biological Mecha would swing the Hammer and ruthlessly smash it against Iron Bull, knocking the beast back with every blow.
The Bone Hammer was about five meters long, and its head was roughly a meter in diameter. It looked like a round pellet drum, though a noticeable depression at the top suggested it had been crafted from the thigh bone of some giant beast. Every strike from the Bone Hammer radiated a faint black glow. Whenever Iron Bull was hit by the black light, it appeared somewhat dazed. It would stagger back a few steps, shake its head to clear its mind, unleash another Energy Attack, and then violently charge forward again.
"That guy’s Mecha probably isn’t made of Metal, which is why Iron Bull’s Metal Passivation Ability is useless against it." Yang Bo didn’t know much about Biological Mechas, only that they were cultivated, though he had no idea how.
Yang Bo first retreated to the cave entrance and summoned his own Mecha, transforming it into its original form—the appearance of a third-generation Mecha. Having already memorized the terrain, he didn’t blindly poke his head out. Instead, he violently pushed the control stick. The entire Mecha swept forward in an arc, both hands gripping its Energy Weapon. It was just like a cavalry charge—there was no need to hack or slash. He only needed to tightly grip the Horse Saber in his hand and let the speed of his mount tear the enemy apart with the blade.
The sudden appearance of this Mecha horrified the Mutant inside the green Biological Mecha. Its tribe had over a hundred Mutants guarding outside. Where did this unfamiliar Mecha come from? The green Biological Mecha dodged Yang Bo’s Mecha’s ambush with a quick flash, but in the very next second, it was knocked back several steps by a headbutting charge from Iron Bull.
As for the unfamiliar Mecha, after dashing past the Mutant, it kicked off the distant stone wall, spun its body around, and swiftly fired up its Rocket Backpack. The entire Mecha shot forward as fast as a cannonball.
BOOM! With a deafening crash, the green Mecha, which had yet to regain its footing after Iron Bull’s charge, was directly rammed by the unfamiliar Mecha. The impact slammed it straight into the rock face, deeply embedding the entire Mecha into the stone wall. The brilliant radiance erupting from the Energy of the two Mechas, combined with the colossal sound of their Energy collision, made the entire cave feel as if it were about to collapse.
The Mutant inside the green Mecha coughed up a mouthful of blood. Staring at the Battle Armor emitting a faint radiance, he was completely dumbfounded. He was just as bewildered as the Black Blade King had been—a Battle Armor forged from Energy Metal? Was this a new Battle Armor from the Alliance? It didn’t look like it.
Then, in the very next second, Iron Bull ferociously charged forward, its massive single horn instantly piercing through the green Mecha.
Gravity Control +32!
In the next second, Yang Bo almost jumped for joy. Gravity Domain! This was an incredibly badass Superpower. Such an ability was exceptionally rare, even in the human world.
"Iron Bull!" Yang Bo immediately called out, ignoring the blaring alarms in his Mecha that indicated it had sustained damage. He looked at Iron Bull, who was staring at him warily.
Upon hearing Yang Bo’s voice, Iron Bull instantly turned its head and shook its shoulders, appearing extremely delighted. Yang Bo tentatively opened the Mecha’s cockpit and saw Iron Bull looking up at him with its small eyes. He carefully jumped down; there didn’t seem to be any anger in Iron Bull’s gaze.
"Iron Bull!" Yang Bo called out again, slowly approaching. He gently rested his hand on Iron Bull’s silver skin. It gave off a warm and smooth sensation, completely devoid of the icy chill typical of Metal. Iron Bull also cautiously nudged its head in front of him.
Yang Bo affectionately patted the creature all over. Iron Bull was extraordinarily massive and shimmering with a golden luster, making it look incredibly beautiful. The beast, on the other hand, seemed rather reserved. Its tiny eyes stayed fixed on Yang Bo, tracking his every movement.
Yang Bo stored his Mecha away before walking over to inspect the guy Iron Bull had just killed in one strike. He looked at the massive Bone Hammer. He initially expected it to be incredibly heavy, but to his surprise, he lifted it effortlessly. After swinging it a few times, he realized that Gravity Control was at play. This Bone Hammer was a Weapon with a Gravity attribute. When swung, it could be as light as a feather, but upon striking an opponent, its Gravity could be increased, with a maximum amplification of over a hundred times...
"Good stuff, such good stuff," Yang Bo muttered, practically drooling. This thing was amazing, absolutely phenomenal.
"No wonder even Iron Bull was beaten into a daze!" Yang Bo exclaimed. He wondered just how much Power he could unleash with this Bone Hammer by utilizing Gravity Control.
Yang Bo then closely examined the Mutant’s Biological Mecha. He started by removing its Helmet. Inside, it was a slimy, sticky mess, with tentacles that seemed to have connected directly to the Mutant’s head. These tentacles appeared to burrow straight into the host’s skin or brain. Suppressing his disgust, Yang Bo took a closer look but couldn’t make any sense of it.
"Disgusting!" Yang Bo couldn’t bear to look any longer. He realized that this Biological Mecha was completely different from those manufactured by humans. It was more like a separate organism parasitizing the body. This thing had no memory of its own; it was entirely controlled by the Mutants, who manipulated the parasitic entities through those tentacles.
"The evolutionary direction of this Biological Mecha is quite unique. Who exactly developed it, and how is it cultivated?" Yang Bo wondered, staring at the Biological Mecha in bewilderment.
There was definitely a secret hidden here. Mutants possessed a high amount of beast genes, so they likely didn’t have the brains for this.
Inside the Mecha was a Mutant over two meters tall. This Mutant also wore a Battle Armor, though it appeared to be made of leather. The Mutant was entirely encased within the Biological Mecha, which was filled with a slimy liquid. Yang Bo wasn’t sure if it was like this because the creature had been beaten to death, or if it was originally this way.
"Iron Bull?" Yang Bo glanced at the imposing beast. Unfortunately, it couldn’t speak, so there was no way to communicate.
Iron Bull stared at the Mutant it had rammed to death. Still indignant, it walked over and viciously stomped on the corpse twice. Seeing the Mutant covered in sticky slime, Yang Bo lost all desire to collect biological samples from it. He glanced at the massive bone club in his hand. It felt like a waste to just throw it away, but what was he supposed to do with it? Take it back?
"It’s time to train my abilities and grind some Skills.
"At the very least, I need to master the applications of Sound Waves, Electric Energy, Metal, Gravity, and even light." Yang Bo had Superpowers, but he had nowhere else to practice them. It was just like having the Power of a Boxing King—you still had to train.
