Chapter 253: The Same Bloodline

Sima You Yue came in front of the mountain. That mountain was a little smaller than the other two mountains. Most of the clansmen from earlier chose the other two mountains, it was only Sima You Lin and the others who chose to enter this one.

There was a huge boulder at the foot of the mountain, and on top of it was a hand imprint. In front of that boulder, were many chaotic footprint imprints, as if they were stepped upon by those who had entered just now.

Sima You Yue wandered around one circle in front of the mountain, but she did not find any place through which she could enter.

“Could it really be that only those who are of the same bloodline are able to enter?”

She came in front of the stone and stared at it for very long. However, she could not find a single hint.

“This must be the thing that can distinguish the bloodlines?” She muttered, however, she still placed her hand on it. “Who knows, this might not be accurate and allow outsiders in as well! Ah-”

Sima You Yue felt as if her hand had been pricked by something. She had clearly seen the the inside of the imprint was smooth, with nothing inside. So what had pricked her hand?

She lifted up her hand and saw a small hole in the heart of her hand, and her blood dripped into the imprint.

“This thing is really strange.” Sima You Yue looked on with puzzlement as her blood slowly seeped into the stone.

Suddenly, a bright ray of light shot out from inside the imprint. It was too blinding, so she subconsciously closed her eyes, stretching a hand in front to block it.

“You Yue?”

Sima You Yue heard Sima You Yang’s voice and blinked. She saw that she was already standing in front of a cave. Sima You Lin, Sima You Yang, Sima You Lin, Sima You Qing and the other brothers were staring at her with confusion.

“Eh, what are you all doing here?” Sima You Yue asked.

“We want to ask you instead, how did you did in here?” Sima You Yang directed the question to her instead.

“Oh, I touched the imprint for a bit, then there was a white ray that brought me here.” Sima You Yue said.

“You have Sima Clan’s blood flowing in you?” Sima You Qing asked in astonishment.

Sima You Yue shook her head, saying, “No way, right? Grandfather said that my birth father placed me in his care. How could I have the bloodline of the Sima Clan?”

“Then how did you manage to enter?” Sima You Qing didn’t believe her, saying, “Only those who have the Sima Clan’s bloodline are able to open that.”

“Who knows, maybe it’s spoilt! How can a stone differentiate who has it and who doesn’t.” SIma You Yue could only explain it this way.

“In the past, there was a person who was able to enter despite being an outsider. However, he wasn’t able to enter via this third great mountain.” Sima You Lin said. What he meant was that this wasn’t the problem with the stone.

Sima You Yang looked at Sima You Yue, saying, “Could it be that you really are our Sima Clansman?”

“Grandfather wouldn’t lie to me. Furthermore, my master said as well that my parents are not people from this great continent.” Sima You Yue said very definitively.

“Not of the Sima Clan’s bloodline…” Sima You Lin chewed it over and suddenly thought about the the time where he heard Sima Lin mention before while they were looking at the genealogical records, that Sima Clan seemed to be from the upper realms.

He looked at Sima You Yue, saying, “Could this really be the case?”

“What is the case?” Sima You Yue asked.

“Maybe you’re from the Sima Clan in the upper realms, while our ancestors came down from the upper realms. That’s why your bloodline is recognised by that God stone.” Sima You Lin voiced out his conjectures.

“Eh- it won’t be that coincidental, right?” Sima You Yue looked at Sima You Lin with disbelief. Could it be that her father was of the same surname Sima?

“We used to be from the upper realms…” Sima You Yang said slowly, “Who knows, maybe that really is the case!”

“No matter whether it is or not, You Yue is in here, so let’s choose a door.” Sima You Lan said.

“Choose a door?” Sima You Yue looked at the cave and realised that this cave, that was about the size of a football field, had many doors with shining white lights. The white lights were restricting their sight and mental strength, making it impossible for them to see what was inside.

“Behind these doors should hold a legacy. In the past, there was a Divine beast here. That’s why very few could enter. You Yue, choose a door and enter it.”

“You all can choose. I want to properly investigate which one I should enter.” Sima You Yue said.

Actually, she had felt this place had something that was pulling her. However, there were many people here and she didn’t want take one step further to feel for it.

Sima You Lin and the other had already chosen, so they nodded their heads and entered the doors they had chosen.

RIght now, she was the only one left in the cave. She came in front of every door, closed her eyes and tried to sense for it. After she had passed a few tens of doors, she finally ascertained the door that the wanted to enter.

“I wonder what the inside is like. I’ll know once I go in and take a look.”

After speaking, she walked towards the white ray of light and her silhouette disappeared inside the ray.

Unexpectedly, there was nothing behind the door. There was only a very long pathway. She continued to follow it, and arrived at a stone house not long later. The walls of the stone house embedded a five colored turntable. However, there was nothing else.

“Could it be that the turntable is the legacy?”

Sima You Yue looked around, but she didn’t see anything else that looked suspicious. She came where the turntable was again and began to study it.

“What use does this turntable have?”

She stretched forth a hand and turned the turntable, but it didn’t move at all.

“I don’t know, what a bother! The five different colors are the same colors as the five different Spiritual Qi. Could it be that I need to insert that corresponding spiritual Qi?”

Thinking that this might be possible, she first inserted the flame attribute spiritual qi into the red portion of it. When the spiritual qi entered the turntable, that red portion actually lit up.

“This should be the case.”

Sima You Yue immediately gathered the other four types of Spiritual Qi, and the other segments lit up as well.

“Clang-”

When all the colors had lit up, the five colored turntable actually turned. The pin also turned three circles, then three circles anticlockwise. Then, the turntable was divided into two halves and moved apart. It revealed a hole in the wall and there was a box in that hole.

“So it really was the case. That five colored turntable represented the five types of spiritual Qi. Only one person can enter that door per time, and this turntable requires one to insert five types of spiritual qi all at once before it awakens. That’s no nobody was able to obtain this item before. I wonder what else is here.”

She stepped forward and took that box. As she opened it, a wave of murderous qi shot out from inside.

“Whoosh-”

The moment she opened the box, she felt a sense of danger, so her head subconsciously tilted to the left and avoided it. That wave of murderous qi shot past the left side of her face and the sound of a bang was heard as a hole was formed in the wall behind her.

Sima You Yue turned her head and looked at the hole in the wall. She rejoiced in her heart that she had avoided it swiftly, otherwise her head and her body would no longer be connected.

“What could this be that this attack can stay so dense even after a thousand years!”

She opened the box carefully and saw a broken sword hilt. The hilt only had three inches of sword, which was a broken spirit tool. Furthermore, that spiritual tool was still released dense spiritual qi.

There was a book placed under that spirit tool. It was a thick one.

“Was the killing qi just now released by that sword hilt? Whose spirit tool is this?” Sima You Yue stretched forth a hand and took that sword hilt. As she held it in her hands she felt a kind of bone chill.

“If it wasn’t because you had a contract with me, you would already have turned into a ball of fire.” Mo Sha’s voice sounded and his silhouette appeared from her bracelet, materialising beside the box.
