Infinite Mana In The Apocalypse

Chapter 5321: Terrifying! III

Chapter 5321: Terrifying! III

In Chernobyl, in the midst of the surging Infinity transforming the domain from Terminal to something carrying Noah’s identity, Noah sensed his power augmenting.

THE Infinite Cause- amplification confirmed. The successful resuscitation and transformation of Chernobyl has added the weight of a second Observable Existence to your Infinite Cause. THE Infinite Cause now backs two Observable Existences. THE Infiniverse is designated the Main Observable Existence under THE Infinite Cause and is further amplified by the Cause’s increased grandeur. Chernobyl is designated a secondary Observable Existence under the same Cause, transforming around your installed Prime Cause architecture.

First Infinite Scale- completion threshold reached. Sufficient power is now flowing through THE Infinite Cause to complete your First Infinite Scale of Existence. Infinitas Corpus, Infinitas Architectura, and Infinitas Causa could potentially be fully satisfied with the current input of power.

Galdr Source- transformation initiating. Your Galdr Source has been pushed to its absolute limit by sustained Persevere stacking and the events of Chernobyl. It is now transforming. Unlike standard transformations, which draw on ambient Source from the surrounding Source Lands, yours is drawing on the Pure Primordial Essence already within your existence. The transformation from Galdr Source to Einherjar Source is underway.

He felt it move through him.

The Galdr Source had always carried a thick viscous quality, dense and heavy, the second Demarcation’s character pressing through his foundations. As the transformation took hold, it became heavier still, fortified, the viscous liquid solidifying toward something that felt less like a substance flowing through him and more like a structure forming around him. A bastion!

Unshakable and immovable, the Einherjar Source establishing itself as a fortress at the foundation of his existence, the third Demarcation carrying the quality of something that could not be moved by force because it had stopped being the kind of thing that force acted upon.

Einherjar Source- innate quality awakening: Hamingja.

Existence is filled with adversity and unfairness. Competence is required to navigate it. Hard work is required to advance through it. But the factor that beings least like to acknowledge, and that determines outcomes more than either competence or hard work, is luck.

Some beings move through existence and attain great things through luck alone, arriving at fortune that no amount of effort would have produced, while equally capable beings of equal effort arrive nowhere. This is not fair. Existence has never been fair. It is simply true.

Hamingja is the Einherjar Source quality that governs this factor. It is a grand form of luck. It does not produce small fortunate coincidences. It rewrites the surrounding existence, within the scope of an Observable Existence or vaster depending on the strength of the Source, to favor the wielder. It causes existence to favor you. It causes adversity to favor you. With sufficient Hamingja, a being can persevere through boundless adversity and emerge many times grander, because the adversity itself bends toward outcomes that benefit them.

Noah recognized Hamingja the moment it bloomed.

It was a constantly moving golden light, woven through his Einherjar Source, restless in a way the other expressions of his power were not, the motion of something that was always recalculating the favorable path through whatever surrounded it.

And as it bloomed, his Civilizations responded. Loot. Cheats. Plot. Destiny. Kismet. Fate. The full collection of Civilizations he carried that touched on fortune and outcome and the shaping of what existence delivered, all of them buzzing to life within THE Aura of THE Source Barbarian, resonating with Hamingja as though they had been waiting for exactly this quality to give them a foundation to organize around!

He gazed at all of it. The potential completion of his First Infinite Scale. He would attend to it deliberately rather than letting it complete in the middle of everything else.

Because there was something else demanding his attention.

Seo-yeon.

His expression went heavy as he looked at her. While everything around them transformed, while Chernobyl came back to life and his Source advanced and Hamingja bloomed, an unfathomable amount of power was concentrating on the little girl!

Her infinite existence was pulling in THE Prime Cause of Apocalypse more than any other, the power of THE Infinite Cause flowing through Chernobyl seemingly channeling through her in abundance, and the immensity she was giving off was, frankly, alarming!

Terrifying!

It felt uniquely equivalent to somewhere within Vakochev’s Fourth Scale of Existence.

This little girl. This child in tattered blue rags who had been weeping to be released from her pain!

He looked at her.

Her small hands touched her own figure, patting at her arms, her chest, the careful disbelieving motion of a being checking whether something was real.

She was checking for the pain. The pain that had defined every moment of her existence for eons. And she was not finding it.

Her eyes came up to his, and tears fell freely down her small face, and at a speed that genuinely surprised Noah, she crossed the space between them and smashed into him in a hug, her small arms wrapping around him as far as they could reach, her face pressing into him as she let the tears out without restraint.

BOOM!

"It hurt," she sobbed into him. "It hurt so much. For so long. It hurt so much and it never stopped and I couldn’t make it stop and it hurt, it hurt, it hurt!"

Noah held her.

He patted her head with the gentleness of a someone consoling a child who had been through something no child should have been through, his hand careful against her hair, his expression soft in a way it rarely was for anyone.

"I know," he said quietly. "I know it did. It’s done now. You wont have to feel that again, okay?"

She cried into him, eons of pain finding their way out now that there was finally room for them to leave, and he let her, holding her through it with the patience of someone who understood that this was a thing she needed to do and that rushing it would be a cruelty after everything she had already endured.

As he consoled her, his existence received information about her.

His Infinity resonated with hers, recognizing a genuine Infinite Lifeform, and her collated information assembled and floated before his eyes.

Infinite Lifeform- Full assessment.

Designation: Seo-yeon.

Nature: Progeny of an Infinite Lifeform and a Source Lifeform. She is the child of the two lovers whose union helped trigger the war that destroyed Chernobyl’s First Cause. She carries the heritage of both her parents, with inherent access to the deepest reaches of Infinity and THE Primordial Source both, contingent on her developing the understanding to use them.
