Infinite Mana In The Apocalypse

Chapter 3660 The Complexity of the Dead! II

Chapter 3660  The Complexity of the Dead! II

In the next breath, the memories and coordinates of the place he had just left poured from him- ripped from his control. His Dead True Source of Mnemosyne Abyssum was easily overridden, even though it stood at the Harmonized Sourcebound Icon Complexity level.

The memories were read, and rapidly at that.

Then…

"Hmm…good. There is potential in this. Here is the first part of your reward. You will also gain the privilege of joining us in an official capacity…keep working hard. Return to that Infinite Ravine and observe. I will assemble a team to confirm…"

…!

The being- Veltraxis, the Smiling Empty Maw, spoke while tossing something toward the bowing Vha'Nekrul.

An incandescent, colorless crystal.

A crystal!

Vha'Nekrul had actually been thrown a crystal, and he caught it like it was the most treasured thing in the world, his skeletal mouth even moving as he whispered what he held.

"A Sorrowglass True Source Panacea…!"

A crystal that every Dead Thing would do anything and everything to obtain. A rare relic found only in the Nullvein Gravewake Folds.

The Nullvein Gravewake Folds.

Broken stretches of existence, nonexistence, and unreality where remnants of Dead Wheels of Existence were scattered, where Dead Things roamed endlessly, hunting for even the faintest glimmer of life. Anything truly alive hid unfathomably deep in the crevices of the Nullvein Gravewake Folds.

Only when something died did its weavings become clear.

To find an Infinite Ravine of a living Wheel of Existence? That alone was a miracle.

The Sorrowglass True Source Panaceas were incomparably rare and vital to Dead Things. They could prolong the vitality of their Dead True Sources, even elevate their Complexity without forcing them to devour every Dead and Wild True Source they encountered…and risk becoming Fractal Beings.

Sorrowglass True Source Panaceas were remnants of collapsed True Sources, final dreams, unwitnessed paradoxes, and forgotten possibilities!

They appeared in unique locations where the very identity and purpose of existence began to unravel.

The Sorrowglass Crystal glowed with a colorless hue, woven from lost purpose and fractured possibilities, the remnants of shattered wheels flickering within it.

Vha'Nekrul, the Corpse Lattice of Memory, felt his Dead True Source pulse just from holding it.

Without hesitation, he devoured it. Then, with a nod toward Veltraxis- the Smiling Empty Maw whose obsidian eyes shimmered with turbidity, he turned to leave.

He didn't overstay his welcome.

The rush he felt after consuming the Sorrowglass True Source Panacea made it all feel worth it!

But he didn't know.

He didn't know he had just acted as the bridge between forces that were never meant to be joined.

He left behind an entity of terrifying Complexity, floating amidst storms of swirling existence, who murmured quietly to himself.

"Could this one be it? I cannot bear to see another Wheel of Existence shattered and broken…"

…!

Veltraxis spoke those words.

And yet… the permanent grin carved from ear to ear across his face made the sentiment sound eerily unfathomable. The words and the expression simply didn't match.

Across Existence.

Beyond the Infinite Ravines of a certain Absolute Complex True Source.

Inside that True Source, this grandiose Wheel of Existence…within the Frequency of Blood.

A region thick with crimson strings of existence, where the air radiated the metallic taste and scent of concentrated bloodlust and power. In this place, the figures of Noah and Ruination could be seen.

Noah floated in a stellar sea of blood, watching Ruination as she finished absorbing another crimson-gold Piece of a Spoke of the Wheel.

They had been moving through frequency after frequency, gathering more pieces of the Wheel. And with each one, her status as a Ruined Miniare Wheel of Existence grew- her Complexity rising to terrifying heights.

Noah watched her closely as he had already discussed with her what he needed. A methodology- an Affix! One that could purify Wild and Dead True Sources of Existence. A way for him to use Source Devouring Evolution…without triggering a Fractal Collapse of Existence.

Without becoming a Fractal Being.

After he proposed the task, the most important thing wasn't what she said.

It was what she didn't say.

She didn't say that it was impossible!

Instead, she turned contemplative. And after a few long moments, her wide crimson-gold eyes lifted to meet his.

"I'll have to abandon all other potential Affix plans except Burnt Weaver and Severed Extractor. At my current stage, I believe I can support a new Affix- one capable of purifying Wild and Dead True Sources of Existence. But it would demand nearly all of my Complexity. My Complexity, which is now…"

She raised her hands and looked at herself.

Noah studied her, too. His weavings told him she was truly evolving and becoming something more.

Something dangerously close to a Wheel of Existence.

A wholly unique construct.

And so, he nodded.

"You can proceed with forging it…if it's currently viable."

Ruination received the command and stepped forward, her hands resting gently against his chest as though she were touching the pristine True Source Atlas of Existence hidden underneath itself.

Her eyes shimmered with reverence. Crimson-gold light surged from her body as she began to forge a terrifying Affix.

"I'll call this type of Affix…the Affix of the Ruined Miniare Wheel."

She paused, searching for the right name. The name that would match the sacred, terrifying construct she was about to weave into her master's very existence.

"It shall be named…the Affix of the Cradle of Purity."

…!

The Cradle of Purity.

BOOM!

The Ruined Miniare Wheel of Existence began etching a terrifying wonder into Noah's weavings. He watched her quietly, his thoughts drifting even as she worked.

Her path seemed clear now. She would continue scouring the frequencies, gathering more Traces and Spokes of the Wheel.

But one question loomed.

A question that buzzed within Noah, and would haunt anyone who looked just a little deeper.

A question about the Wheel itself.

Because anything that had fragments of its whole scattered across creation, pieces, traces, even segments of its spokes…meant one thing.

The whole…was broken.

Or shattered.

So if there were multiple fragments of the Wheel across countless frequencies, what did that say about the Wheel of Existence itself?
