Infinite Awakening: My Exp Doubles Everyday

Chapter 307: Heavenly Dao Body

Chapter 307: Heavenly Dao Body

Xiang Yu slowly opened his eyes.

He had just finished running a battle simulation against void realm Liu Feng, trying to see if he could win through pure physical strength alone. He exhaled deeply. It seemed he still needed to break through to the twenty-fifth layer.

“Speaking of breaking through, I wonder how junior sister is doing,” he thought to himself.

He suddenly had the idea to test out his junior sister’s progress in the simulation space.

“Let’s start with peak nascent soul realm,” he murmured as he entered the simulation environment.

At the peak of nascent soul realm, Li Yao actually possessed the combat power of a peak soul formation cultivator in just her base form. Who else but his junior sister could be this talented? Xiang Yu felt a mix of pride and amazement at her incredible growth.

He then moved on to test the soul formation realm version of Li Yao. Although she was much stronger than before, Xiang Yu could still easily suppress and defeat her without much effort. He thought to himself that this Li Yao was almost as strong as the final form Li Yao from her previous cultivation level.

He estimated her strength to be around half-step void traversing realm.

Li Yao really surprised him every time. Whenever she broke through to another realm, her previous final form almost always became her new base form strength. Sometimes she even developed completely new transformations on top of that.

After beating her base form, Xiang Yu challenged the elemental form next.

“Yoooh, new skin,” he thought, noticing her changed appearance.

In her elemental form, Li Yao’s hair was split between deep ocean blue on the right side and pure snow white on the left. Her eyes followed the same color pattern. As they fought, she didn’t just use lightning attacks anymore but ice as well.

Xiang Yu had always known about Li Yao’s ice talent and somewhat understood why she hadn’t studied it as intensively before. It seemed she was now deciding to put serious effort into developing this second element, and the results spoke for themselves.

Xiang Yu found himself struggling considerably against this new form.

He guessed he probably wouldn’t have nearly as much trouble beating her if she was still using just her usual lightning elemental form.

After several clashes, Xiang Yu finally managed to suppress her and claim victory. From observing how she fought and how her domains functioned – yes, she now wielded two separate domains, one for ice and one for lightning – Xiang Yu could confidently say that her combat power had finally reached that of a true void realm cultivator. Considering how smoothly she could alternate between the two domains and even combine their effects, she was definitely a top-tier fighter in that category.

Moving on to the next challenge, Xiang Yu faced off against her spirit form. This one didn’t get a new skin, making him feel a little disappointed. He shook his head, he had been away from the modern world for so long, he had even begun treating his junior sister’s forms like some kind of gacha png collection.

The spirit form proved much more difficult to defeat. Her power level was roughly equivalent to that of the demon god, though slightly stronger.

After struggling for quite a while and exchanging numerous attacks, he finally managed to overcome her. He estimated this form’s strength to be around mid void traversing realm, the same general level as the demon god.

Although both opponents were equally powerful in terms of raw strength, Xiang Yu had struggled more against spirit form Li Yao. In this form, she could manipulate world energy directly, which interfered with his energy control and even disrupted his domain.

“The next form should be second heaven right?”

As soon as he finished speaking those words, he found himself suddenly back in the spirit vein.

“Eh? Eh? Eeeh?”

“Elder…” Zhao Tianling’s voice trembled as she spoke.

She stumbled backwards, her legs giving way as shock overwhelmed her senses. Her body hit the ground hard just a few inches away from the edge of the bottomless valley that now stretched before her.

When she had first heard the distant commotion echoing through the mountains, she had reluctantly decided to come check it out. She had arrived just in time to witness the elder being cut down by a white haired woman.

The thought that someone as powerful as the elder could be killed seemed impossible.

Her group had actually been caught in the crossfire of that final attack. All the others had fallen into the bottomless valley, their fates unknown. She herself had been incredibly lucky, positioned just an inch away from the attack’s range.

As these thoughts raced through her mind, she suddenly felt a presence. She slowly raised her trembling eyes, and her heart nearly stopped beating entirely when she saw who floated before her.

It was the person who had killed the elder.

“A woman?” Li Yao started, her voice robotic. “I must eliminate her… she’s dangerous…”

Li Yao stretched out her hand toward the trembling Tianling who could only stare in terror.

But suddenly, Li Yao paused mid-motion. Her outstretched hand wavered, and she brought her other hand up to clutch at her head as if fighting some internal battle.

Li Yao thought to herself that she had used too much power in that last strike. She wouldn’t be able to maintain this form much longer. She needed to quickly make her move to gain the heavenly merit before she turned back.

The space around her broke apart and she vanished into it.

Tianling remained frozen in her terrified position for several seconds even after Li Yao had disappeared. Only when she was completely certain that she was truly gone did she finally allow herself to relax even slightly.

She breathed out heavily, thinking to herself that she had almost died.

She didn’t understand why Li Yao had changed her mind at the very last second but she needed to get away before she changed her mind and returned to finish what she had started.

Unbeknownst to her, a thick cloud of dark smoke had begun rising from the depths of the huge hole that Li Yao’s attack had created.

The smoke steadily drifted toward where Tianling stood.

She only noticed the smoke when it had already reached her position and surrounded her completely. Before she could react, the dark smoke rushed into her body through her nose and mouth.

Her body became completely stationary for a moment. Then, slowly, she raised her head.

“Hahaha, after being sealed here for so long, I’ve finally been released!” she laughed.

She looked down at her hands and the rest of her body, flexing her fingers experimentally.

“Tch, what a shit body,” she said in disappointment.

Then her expression suddenly changed, an evil smile spreading across her face as she recalled the memories of the body’s previous owner.

“That girl… I definitely recognize it. There is no way I could ever forget that aura, it’s definitely the Heavenly Dao Body,” her smile grew even wider and more twisted. “Kekeke, I will not let you escape this time,” she said, licking her lips.

Meanwhile, several miles away from the scene, someone was desperately tearing through space over and over again, using all the means at his disposal to flee.

This was Gu Yizhe, head of the demon god association. After being scared away by an integration realm expert when he was at the Azure Cloud Sect, he had been carefully watching the sect from a safe distance for any signs of change.

Surprisingly, the integration realm expert didn’t seem to have destroyed the sect as he had expected. While he couldn’t see through the concealment formations that protected the area, he could still sense that the demon sealing tower remained intact.

But just yesterday, he had suddenly lost his connection to the tower and couldn’t sense it any more. Deciding he needed to investigate personally, he had come out of hiding to take a closer look, only to witness such a high-level battle taking place.

He thought to himself that luckily, he had run as quickly as he did when he saw that final sword move being prepared. If he was caught in the crossfire…

As he thought of this, he suddenly noticed that he couldn’t break through space anymore to continue his escape. In fact, he couldn’t move at all. His entire body had become completely frozen in place.

His body then suddenly broke apart into countless pieces, each fragment falling toward the ground below. He was dead before he even realized what had happened to him.

“I thought I smelled something familiar. Turns out it was another demon god trash,” Li Yao spoke coldly as she watched the pieces of Gu Yizhe fall to the ground.

As she observed, she heard a loud explosion echoing from the direction of the demon lotus. “I need to hurry up,” she thought to herself as she flew away toward the source of the explosion.

“Who was that guy anyway? He had such a creepy smile”
